@josehernandez0901 She is a true vocalist, just not a power vocalist like the ones you mentioned. Being a true vocalist doesn't simply mean singing powerfully and holding extra long notes. Another example of a singer I would place in the same category as Janet regarding vocals is the late Aaliyah. She wasn't a powerful vocalist, but made beautiful music.

Janet's voice is very underrated, her range is exceptional, for all those who don't think Janet has a great voice, you just haven't researched enough. Plus Janet pours emotion into her songs like no other, and I mean no other, she could even rival Michael with that one! No she's no powerhouse, but she is far from just an okay vocalist, she's great, everything about Janet is underrated, no shade but she's the best female out there, not even Madonna is as good as her, love her but its true!

I am a Janet Jackson fan but I can admit she doesn't have a GREAT voice.

She has a decent voice. And her songs are amazing but her voice is nothing special.

It's not Michael. It's not Whitney. It's not Celine...

It's Janet and it's sexy and nice but it's not GREAT. Nothing wrong with it, it's fine, it's just not that good. It's just OK.

@Tiesha0816 At 2:05 the song is called "Pops Up" which was a song from the Damita Jo era that didn't make it on to the album. 2:16 is "Ask For More" which Janet wrote for her Pepsi commercial in Japan.
