@emmp117 No. Judges like EMOTIONS! Doesn't mean pasting on some creepy smile like they're doing you a favour. They want communication and emotion. Dance isn't gymnastics, there is a shitload of work put into the emotions on the piece.
You seem to be a very talented dancer with a lot of potential to become even better...but basically two things are wrong with this. The more important thing is your emotion for this song is wrong. When I whach you dance I dont feel the pain an thus you dont have the right emotions.For almost any type of performing arts some level of acting is needed,and you just look happy . Second the choreography is kinda crappy. Just work on your emotions/acting, but other than that your a really good dancer
I think the reason so many negative comments were written was mainly do to the fact that they interrpret the song differently is all. she did a good job and she did a lot more than i ever could and although this showed a different perspective it would explain the smiling and movement.
to be honest though, i bet none of you haters could even dance half as good as her?? think before you speak, other than dancers and apst dancers who can comment with constructive critisism, bet others couldn't even learn the steps
I really like this, i get the smiling, your fixing someone, i'd smile too, the balloon was useless though...but here is a tip, you have awesome movement quality that is really smooth and sure, but when your streching, focus on streching and pulling the back of your knees strait, and pushing through your ankle to point your foot, and strech it out everyday:) It has helped me wonders, my legs look a miillion times straiter:) Good luck and keep dancing, you have alot of potiential:)
The balloon was completely useless.. I agree with some of the other comments.. why are you smiling? This is a sad, emotional song. No emotion or passion was shown.
@leahbaer11 i believe the balloon was to to symbolize something most likely cancer considering the pale pink color and this song is usually about lost, struggle and sometimes death in dance. so that's what i concluded(:
Personally... i don't like the choreography...it'st not just the dancer herself but the steps just dont feel the pain of the song, its like she's just dancing to the music and not feeling the lyrics. With music like this the choreography needs to be so into it, like its living the emotions, not just leaping around... sorry.
i did like this routine, but it seems like theres alot of fluff. alot of turns leaps and walking without actually dancing through the movement. she has really good technique and ability but there's no emotion through the movement.
Great Job! Although I do believe that this song works better with more than one person I think she did a wonderful job by herself. I was actually really impressed, at the beginning of this routine I didn't really think this would be as good as it was. Wonderful!

I didnt go much on it, and I use to be a dancer, and you need to move with the song and move the people you are dancing for.
