@vjnepaleseninja - its terrible, the xc90 is basically a front wheel drive car. if u get stuck, u have to turn of the ESP, and then u might get loose ;) trust me the GL is much better, if its got some Nokian winter tyres ;)

@vjnepaleseninja - its called AWD, but it got something an haldex system, which is a bunch of AWD cars. the xc90 is setup with 90 % of the power in the front and 10 % at the rear. on a normal road its basically in frontwheel drive to save some fuel. you'll notice the difference between a GL and a XC90 when its winter ;)

Its all about the tires. A rwd sedan with winter tires could outperform an SUV with summer times in the snow.

X5 is made cruise on tarmac at 100 mph and some tiny little part of the time to go on gravel.

The X5 is inferior in many respects: it lower ground clearance, no low gears or diff locks... the Dakar cars have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in common with the commercial verision except for the model name and exterior design!
