My husband and I attended this event, he's a wounded warrior and we could not believe how WONDERFUL the community in Rockaway was! We are truly grateful for the people and programs like these.

I visit a friend who lives in rockaway beach 68th st. every year. NYC is an incredible place and the solidarity and the whole community of rockaway and the people of NY is amazing they wont be defeated and they are so proud to be american (despite their crazy leader) because its about the people and they make it. its an amazing place!

These people give me some measure of pride in being an American again.

This war should never have happened, but our soldiers aren't to blame for that, and that their government has abandoned them so badly... I'm glad people are able to stand up and help out. That is TRUELY the American way.
