I mean seriously...this shit was made in 1995! Considering most producers were pretty bare bones in their sounds at the time, there wasn't really that fusion element brought to the game like the way Guy and Thomas did it. It was probably the equipment they used but still, the only dude I can think of who was doing something close to this was Sneak back in the day and this other dude Dan Fun. But this was some groundbreaking shit for real!

@Topknotch0789 Thomas Bangaulter really does seem to have a good ear for beats and samples. I've always thought out of any genre producer wise, he's just one of the few who have that uncanny ability to just get that funky yet jacking sound that lends itself to Chicago House, but with kind of a techy touch to it. I've been into Daft Punk since 1997 so I've noticed this. All of his solo stuff still sounds fresh to this day...it's just uncanny!

But honestly, every piece of work Daft Punk have done is just genius. Discovery might of lost the sound of the TR909, but the bassdrum on most tracks is absolutely thumping. But regardless, Discovery was meant to go other places than house music, and they were spot on. You must like some of Human After All ? Some amazing music there.
