Mariane Pearl is a member of the honorary board of the Daniel Pearl Foundation[18] which was founded by Daniel Pearl's parents, Ruth and Judea Pearl.

Mariane Pearl and I have a few things in common. We both have Soka Gakkai influence. That tells me a lot as to what is inside her mind. (SGI)

I was not suprised to find out that Pearl was born in Clichy, Hauts-de-Seine, France to a Dutch-Jewish father and an Afro-Chinese- Cuban mother. She was raised in Paris and met Daniel Pearl while he was on assignment there.

Mariane van Neyenhoff Pearl (born July 23, 1967) is a French freelance journalist and a reporter and columnist for Glamour magazine. She is the widow of Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in early 2002.

A woman, a family person, a person of heritage, an active feminist, an intellect, a person who has seen the back of the curtains, a critical thinker and a media person.
