  • ow many midwives does she need? i thought its usually one

  • In the UK its always two if you're having a homebirth. One to care for mother if necessary and one for the baby.

  • it was great to see your video because it make me rememeber when i was father for second time, unfortunately we havent enogh space in the bathtube, my wife just could be in just for a few minutes, and finally she birth my son in a doggy position

  • This was amazing! I'm studying to be a doula and I was so happy to find your video. Thank you for sharing and I congratulate you!!

  • Well done Nancy!

  • she made it look so easy

  • Your home birth video is so beautiful. I gave birth to my daughter a year ago and I wish I could've been strong enough to have a home birth, the pain was too much for me. You are an inspiration to me. Big congratulation.

  • nancy you are such an inspiration!

  • this was such a beautiful birth! I had a wonderful water birth with my son and was encouraged to do so by footage of strong women like this. Birth can be pleasurable and fantastic, and it can be safely honored in the water. I found the water to be so perfect for birth, it connected me to my inner woman and helped be to surrender. my son was born much like this baby was, peacefully in the water, without intervention, into mamas waiting loving hands!the way it should be for everyone!

  • We are planning a water birth for our 2nd child, of which we haven't conceived yet. I am trying to educate my self in finding the right midwive and birthing center for our family. Anything helpful at ALL that u can share would be very much appreciated.

Your birth was just beautiful! CONGRATS! This is exactly what I am looking to do my self.

  • As a HypnoBirthing Practitioner i show this to all classes at the 1st class - Everyone i have shown this to including midwives are in awe of you Nancy - Thank you so much for agreeing to do this program - It is so moving but beautiful - well done!

You have two beautiful boys :)

  • My goodness, thank you. Thats lovely to hear. I'm thrilled to think this is helping others in such a positive way. I hope hypnobirthing grows huge and takes over the western world! Think how much that would cut the cost of NHS bills ;-)

  • Congratulations on such a beautiful birth, well done such a beautiful boy! He's got a good set of lungs hehe :)

I'm expecting my first in November, and I Hope my birth goes this well!

  • Thank you for sharing your beautiful birth. i am going for a vbac in june with my 2nd baby and hypnobirthing has given me the courage to do it.( as well as prenatal yoga) i have been searching for just such a video on the net and finally found yours! wonderful. I was petrified and couldnt visualise anything let alone birth, but after my first ended in a c-section have completely changed my mind and can't wait for my vbac now! Thank you for helping me see it can be done! Amina, West London

  • A coisa mais linda do mundo...Parabéns por ter tido esse privilégio!

  • Beautiful! Thanks for sharing your birth.

  • wow. i am expecting my seventh child and i've never had such a *quiet* last bit of labour - i never thought it would be over so fast. I've only got six days till baby is due - but i'm gonna look up the techniques mentioned... i did find water helped immensely with the last two births

  • Fabulous, Nancy! RaisinRozen, thx for posting! Glad it's avail. for the world to see. I had a home birth 19 mths ago; I was so relaxed it wasn't painful. It was fast and easy; the challenging part was for only 2 hrs after my water broke. Never had to push. Then my baby was born, and I could have run a 1/2-marathon afterward (if my midwife had let me!) b/c of the adrenalin and b/c I wasn't tired. I NEVER could have relaxed like that in hospital, and the experience would have been hard not easy.

  • Hi, thats just how I felt afterwards, I wanted to run around the streets shouting to the world and telling them what I'd just done. I guess its the biggest achievement of my life and something I'm very proud of. I'm also glad its there for people to see. From the outset of agreeing to do the programme, it was my purpose to promote homebirth and natural birth. I think I've done that!

  • o wow you made it look so easy! this is a beautiful birth!

  • This is absolutely beautiful, thanks so much for sharing. Just beautiful! I loved all 3 videos, and I'm so so glad and proud you got the birth you wished for and deserved!

  • Thank you :-)

  • oops i meant labor... am so overwhelmed by the video ..we dont have access to stuff like that in greece unfortunately. it's like am going through an apocalipsis. thank you for sharing

  • hello! am honestly amazed.... i wonder if i can get that sort of technique over athens, greece. (how long did the whole labour last??? if you dont mind..)

  • Hi, I woke up with very light cramping pains at 7am, by 11am it was beginning to come on strong, by about 12.30 I got into the water and he was born at 2pm. I'm glad you enjoyed watching it. Search HypnoBirthing Mongan Method, you may be able to find someone practising in Greece, if not just the book and cds will be a great help. Good luck.

  • Good luck Kaye!

Sarah (Nancy's (VERY proud) HypnoBirthing teacher)

  • Thank you for sharing both your birth stories, Nancy. I had been considering attending a hypnobirthing weekend with my partner for our 1st baby due at end of April, but we have been wondering if we can really afford it - watching this has helped me realise where my priorities lie. I will do everything in my power to have a birthing experience like you had with Sid and everything I can to avoid the experience you had with Rudi. Kayex

  • Good for you, I really believe it was the best money I've ever spent. Good luck and let me know how you get on! x

  • amazing

  • my god

you didnt have to push at all!!

    wow.

  • I'm planning a homebirth for my 1st baby this MAy, and hope it goes as smoothly as yours did, beautiful to watch, thanks for sharing it. Just one question, was the baby in distress or were the midwives overcautious?

  • They were worried about his heart rate, it either kept dropping or fluctuating - I can't remember which. They used a sonic aid and checked it regularly, I noticed they were getting a bit tense and worried about it, so I think they were genuinely concerned. Good luck with your homebirth, go for it. x

  • Ha ha thats me!! Thanks for all the comments. It was an amazing experience and I just can't recommend hypnobirthing highly enough. Nancy x

  • Well done Nancy, Tec, Rudy and of course Sid!

    Sarah (Nancy's HyponBirthing teacher)

  • I agree u should enjoy your childbirth and plus pushing to hard can cause you to tear.

  • Wow, that is good, and and Nancy did really well.

  • wow...

  • That was excellent! There is no need to push the baby out that hard. Just use slow breathing for relaxation and gravity for decend of baby and you have an enjoyable and pleasurable childbirth. It is that simple, yet effective and less costly.

    :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

  • Isn't it amazing what a woman's body can do when largely left to its own devices? This is a wonderful testament to the fact that there is an alternative drugs and needles during what is a tough, but natural process. Well done Mom!
