  • how hard is it to suck in your belly and squeeze through and move a tennis racket in a delicate fashion to really give a good inspection of the crawl? How "dicey" is it to do that? dude you're not gonna break a damn thing. Go in there. Chicken. lol

  • The professional home inspector doesn't appear to be informed. The sealed crawl space liner and insulation covers the foundation walla up to three inches below the sill plate. The 3" gap is for the specific purpose of exposing the presence of termite activity and is a code requirement in most areas. Extensive research by Advance Energy shows an average savings of 18% in energy costs. Also, Crawl Space air naturally rises into the living area and can cause big health problems if left unchecked.
