For example, the British introduced opium into India and China making everyone addicted and dependant on Britain. I'm English and although I defend the points made by the British, I've got to admit that unfortunately Steven speaks a lot more sense than the majority of Britain would care to realise. For example, the British introduced opium into India and China making everyone addicted and dependant on Britain. The empire did bring infrastructure to a number of countries and kick-started their economies but it also caused rife, destruction, mayhem and suffering. There's two sides to every argument.
