Between the 1950's into the 1980's, the only way to buy a chart "single" was on a black piece of plastic called a "record".

A record was two sided with an "A" side and a "B" side, the "A" side was the hit song from the charts, the "B" side would contain a bonus track "B" side, which would always be less commercial and more experimental than the "A" side.

The "B" side is the traditional way for Pop artists to release riskier songs that were less commercial. The term "B" side is still used.

Obviously released as a b side on vinyl so fans will buy the singles collection released in July. Apart from a cracking melody and brilliant lyrics what really stands out for me is the combination of Kimberley and Nicola's voices. Nadine is the strongest vocalist but I love Memory Of You because Kimba and Nic share the singing. It just wouldn't be as interesting if the other girls sang it. Agree with the comments stating this should have been on OOC. One of my favourite GA songs.

A gramophone player was the name given to one of the first ever record players back in the 1920's & 30's.

Gramophone players were not electric & were clock-work, with a handle that stuck out the side to wind them up.

They often had a huge brass horn (like a trumpet) sticking out the top to amplify the sound that the needle picked up.

The HMV logo sometimes uses a picture of one with a dog listening to the horn. My USB turntable is a modern one made in 2006 not the 1930's.

I think Fascination have screwed up TLK single release AND the 'deluxe' version of the album; if the 'deluxe' version had been available 6 months after the vanilla, with all the b-sides (including this) and a couple of those unheard tracks that didn't make the grade, then I'd have definitely bought it. As it is, I haven't bought either.

And I think i can hear nadine in the 'japan' part but there's definitely kimba because you can hear how she pronounces the 's' lol! it could be triple-kim though. I think they left it out of the album because this song uses alot of synthesizers to alter there voices, if they ever did realease it as a single, it would be difficult to sing live. I didn't even realize it was Girls Aloud to begin with either, it's different from everything on Out of Control.

Because Xenomania's built their sound around Nadine's voice and the label's probably terrified of releasing a single that doesn't follow the formula. I adore Nadine and her voice but if this track doesn't prove that the Girls can excel without having her or Cheryl at the helm, I don't know what does.
