You can, but you'll have to Y-Harness the canards and thrust vectoring to make it work. It will all work the same, but may require some extra time setting it all up mechanically so they are neutral together.
What through hobby lobby or just coming out to our local hobby shops in the UK, the RC shops suck round hear, they are about 5 years behind and charge you the earth
i have a DX6i, can I setup to fly with 6 channels? Are the LEDs for night flying a channel? I wont be doing night flying so I could not have that channel. Or is there some other setup that'd work with a 6 channel radio instead of 7?
that is an awsome looking jet. I watched the flying video and it flies really nice, but how fast is it with the stock setup? i didnt see any fly bys. on the hobby lobby website it says this thing has one to one thrust id like to see a vid of that. this bird would look nice next to my SU-34
Yes, it comes with an ARF with only the battery and receiver required to fly. We will also have an airframe only version for those wishing to use their own electronics. Available in Mid March.

I have a spektrum DX6i TX but only a AR500 RX. Would this be enough channels & would the Typhoons servos plug into Spektrum RX's? Thanks.

Yes you can set it up on a 6 channel radio using Y-connectors instead of programmable mixes.
