  • Esse cara é um extraterrestre.....

  • I bought the DVD a couple of months back and just now opened and watched. Wow... what an amazing performance. This one was one of my favorites...

  • this outro just gives me goosebumps, david's the best!

  • 5 people are tonedeaf

  • is it only me who has goosebumps on 5:07?

  • @infarkt11 No you are not the only one to get goosebumps. Most guitarists can make their guitars play great music.... David Gilmour makes his guitars SING! I can't explain it any other way but to say when he plays he makes the guitar have emotions.

  • Best ever!!!!!!

  • take a look at 5:56 :PP

  • Perfectiosm using his soul...

  • Perfect song from this musical genius!

  • Yo quiero esa fender black strat!

  • i do remember

  • Excelente, que más se puede decir!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YES

  • GRANDE GILMOUR CONCHESUMADREE !!!!

  • Now THAT is how "aging gracefully" is done.

  • This is the first time i have ever heard this song.Just simply wow,i have goosebumps all over my body from it.

  • David Gilmour is always PERFECT sounding live.. What a genius and hard worker

  • Graham Nash....what a legend!

  • Remember that night........i always will

  • There is more God in the soul of the atheistic David Gilmour, than in most of the spiritual people I have ever met or heard of.

  • @evermoreart "God" is just a word. The thing is what it is. And yes, Gilmour is intimately in touch with it.

  • They are equally as good in their own way.

  • David Gilmour just gets right to the point in everything he does, doesn't he?

  • can we just stop ranking these men? they are both geniuses. just enjoy the music.

    :-)

  • @mandingo129

At least be able to spell GILMOUR and WATERS. Not to mention oranges. Come on...

  • I agree; Both are amazing in their own right. Personally I prefer Gilmour, but Waters is a genius as well. Together though, they are the best.

  • pero que hermosa cancion.....2 musicos de la legendaria gran banda PINK FLOYD...!!

  • 5 people need their hearing checked...

  • AMAZING. THIS IS WHAT SONG WILL BE PLAYING AT THE GATES OF HEAVEN!!!!....just kidding but really

  • definitivamente, david gilmour a ampliado sus horizontes... su mundo es distinto, para mejor de la musica, es bueno... es DAVID GILMOUR

  • I'm seventeen. I've finally have see Roger Waters. That was one of my last things to do before I die. Now that jsut leaves Gilmour and I could finally say I don't give a crap of what happens to me. My life is truly complete

  • i agree with pinkclimax (video uploader)!!

    the DVD is so great!

  • Nice to see David Crosby and Graham Nash doing the vocals also. Can't get any better than those three together.

  • Everybody seem having fun and smiling around David Gilmour. And everybody seemed stressed, depressed and sad around Roger Waters.

  • Dreamers may leave, but they're here ever after... RIP Rick Wright

  • Mason is one of the best musicians ever, and so do Wright. Don't forget them.

  • Skomentuj ten film...

  • david with those two doing harmonies? STUNNING!!!!

  • You can convert this or any youtube video to an mp3 at instantmp3s..com

  • But Roger hasn't written a song like this in a long while.

  • Gilmour is a god to me. I have done nothing but studied him and practiced his songs for 6 months. But to say he is superior to Waters is myopic. Yes, Gilmour is superior as a guitar player, but what about song writing skills? Like saying the sun is superior to the moon, but not if you like moonlite nights with the ladies!

  • @FrusciantePadawan well said

  • My god. This is an amazing song.

  • pink climax : Thank you so very very much for all these incredible videos of the best band ever.

    folichon

  • For those who says Waters have wrote most of PF songs (The successful ones... well all of em) Dark Side of the Moon (Except Money)+The Division Bell??! and... where is Richard Wright... he keeps his unknown status for most of ppl, but WE know his talent, his genuis...

    PF forever...

  • Simply amazing...

    Best part

    0:00 to 7:13!

  • Gorgeous!!!

  • David is my grandfather... !! GENIOUS!

  • Interesting to see this solo evolve from the album track (a bit flat) through early live shows, Gdansk, and finally here. Sheer mastery over the guitar which can never shine through in the same way on a keyboard instrument. At 1.58 on he almost seems to be conducting a living thing rather than 'playing' it, truly amazing.

  • so much better than shredding.

  • Truly a god sent talent from a man who channels his expression to us all through his fretboard ( and I ain't religeous) he was born to bring everyone who listens to his music something that will never be heard of or replicated by anyone ever again. We thankyou mr Gilmour for everything you've ever contributed to this world. Long may you live you legend.

  • they are both great

  • I N C R E D I B L E !!!!

  • very very good dvd the sound is so clear david gilmour is the king

  • Thats what my brother and I have been saying for the last 25 years. So True...

  • genail

  • Bold statement below..

How can you say such a thing ??

     Both are fuckin awesome musicians.

  • I'd bet that live version would sound great with a surround sound system

  • Señor Gilmour venga a Peru mr Gimour come to PERU

  • Crosby, Nash and Gilmour sound great harmonizing together!

  • @eclecticbuzzard I agree, they all sound awesome together and a perfect song to do it with.

  • Simplemente encantador.

  • pink floyd is the only reason i cudn get away from dope....they r fukin fantastic

  • Good excuse like it mate lol

  • Crosby and Stills look blown away on stage by Gilmour's Solo!!!

  • Brings back to me good memories from Greece!

    Thank you!

  • Pink Floyd will live forever!!

    R.I.P You lost souls !

  • @theARVmusic hell yeah !!!

lol @ crosby and nash. i would poop my pants if i were on stage during a pink floyd song.

  • I fell in love with this song.

    Gilmour's guitar its an orgasm.

  • heheh...;P

  • DON'T EVER BLAME GOD.

  • am really sorry for fans of waters, but we were lucky to be fans of gilmour since he has never betrayed our love for him, thanks Mr.Gilmour.

  • This is a very sweet track. You can actually feel the warmth flowing .. So cool to see/hear these 'three greats' sing together .. Thank you for this treat :)

  • Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm oh yea

  • Oque seria Pink Floyd sem os solos de Gilmour? Pink Floyd is Pink Floyd with Gilmour solos!

  • I have listened to this so many times and it's just as awesome as the first time I heard it. Thanx for posting...........

  • Guimour's guitar is the best trip of my life...

  • Not to reiterate what others have said but David's solo phrasings are brilliant.

  • Sir David Gilmour, right?

  • This sound is my religion!

  • Yep,,,,,, I couldnt put it into words, until now. But that is it exactly !

  • The epitome of rock and blues progression. Technically brilliant. Just moves you to the core of your soul.

  • great concert,if you are listening to the audio album, you can see tahat is similary to the styl that gilmour has putten at the other albums of floyd, but in a moder way.....it sounds awsome....

  • looks like Crosby and Nash are having their best time eva, on stage next to Gilmour's amp.

    They deliver their part perfectly.

  • @dockaiser Could not agree more. C and N get high on this stuff alone.... Love that Crosby, Gilmour and Nash just tons.

  • This is so awesome!! The guitar says the things that words could never say.

  • please david.... dont die

  • IMHO, David Gilmour creates the best guitar solos of all time. I believe Pink Floyd owes their huge success to David Gilmour. One need only listen to and compare David Gilmour's solo albums with those of Roger Waters'. Waters' solo albums are pathetic. To me, the sound of Pink Floyd will always be indentified by the melodies written by David Gilmour, regardless of whether they are sung by David or played as a guitar solo. Songs written by Waters' were at best mediocre.

  • I couldn't agree with you more. Without David Gilmour, Pink Floyd would have been so/so!!! Gilmour pushed Floyd over that edge to greatness. I've said that for many, many years. It's no surprise he's doing OK as a solo artist. I'm a huge Gilmour fan. You can hear the Floyd in his music, so that says a lot right there.

  • starting at 5:30 that guitar is crying for the tears I can't get out. It's amazing

  • Comment removed

  • thrills...true emotion to see Dave with Rick...this song is something amazing! it take me to another place!

  • the best of european spirit with the best of american spirit.... what a rainbow of sound..... majestic and touching

  • This is Phenomenal. Crosby and Nash sound great the guitars are awesome and they are having a great time..what a jam.

  • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SOLO. Both of them

  • GODLIKE...4HISPERFORMANCE..,

  • The title should be On An Island

  • So perfect, such wonderful lyrics. Love it!!!

  • Phil Manzanera on 2nd guitar along with David (1st solo) what a 1-2 punch ! Fantastic

  • the best concert ever.

    godspeed Richard Wright

  • no the best concert ever ever was 1994 pulse my favourit

  • Have you seen The Delicate Sound of Thunder concert?

i thought it was better than the Pulse show... Pulse left me disapointed..

but thats cool thanks for posting! :)

  • David Gilmour: So superior to Roger Waters

  • Hymm. Comparing Roger water to david Guilmour is comparing apples and orenges. Davide Guilmour is one of the best guitarist to walk this earth and Roger Water is one of the best song writers. Them combine is pinkfloyed one of the best bands ever.

  • i could not have said it any better.

  • @mandingo129 .....I agree....

  • @mandingo129 I totally agree with you. Roger is far better at writting lyrics. But they are both impressive soul and feelings.

  • @mandingo129

Pink Floyd is not only them, is an insult for Mason, Wright and Barret.

Without them, there's no Pink Floyd either.

  • @phantom478 I think production-wise i can agree, but Roger Waters has some very interesting ideas and musical direction, i can appreciate both very much

  • Comment removed

  • @phantom478 you are not stating a fact, but an opinion which means nothing to any Pink Floyd fan. Why does it matter? Is there a need to put one above the other? No, I didn't think so......

  • @phantom478 Sorry for disagreeing, I just think they are both important to music. Each one in their brilliant way of expressing themselves through it.

  • @phantom478 They are different! :)

  • @phantom478 justin bieber, so superior to old guys

  • @serwet87 please never return to any video of any amazing / half-decent musician..

and if you do return, PLEASE dont take the time to mention any of your garabage, commercial little image-selling role-models / idols. it would really do the world alot of good.

not trying to be a dick, just making a suggestion =/

  • @serwet87 You're an idiot!

  • The Silver Supergroup! Absolutely stunning all around. Take it from a fan of the barefoot archangel himself....

  • the song is called: on AN island...

    not AND, moron

  • Probably just a typo, calm down man

  • havin nash and crosby harmonize with david and rick is pretty fuckin cool if i must say

  • i suppose you are good for something better bombay? get a life.

  • GILMOUR IS GOD!!!!!! x

  • Wow. Turns out David Crosby is good for something.

  • Who are the backup singers?

  • David Crosby and Graham Nash.

  • I once read a comment by a critic who wrote that Gilmour could do more with a single string and one fret than most guitarists with six strings and a full fretboard could.

  • i second that ! i was there that night when he played it, absolutely phenomenon

  • Gilmour is God (in execution) but roger is the Man...he wrote most of great pf songs! True artists, all of them!

  • An angel on this Earth

  • gilmour is GOD

  • Gilmour is an amazing guitarist. He can literally kill you with one note.

  • That's so true. I don't know if you'll understand what I mean, but he makes the perfect progressions and as he plays a great note all he has to do is play one single perfectly chosen note right after it, and you are dead! It's amazing!

  • He's the only one I know other than Clapton who can do that; Eric can bring me near to tears with a single note, it amazes me the emotion he can wring out of a single note with all the nuances of tone...and Gilmour has that same gift.

  • he is, but he can't, not literally.

  • En mi opinión, a pesar de la maestría del DVD... faltan There's no way out of there (a mitad de concierto) y Run Like Hell al final.

In spite of the masters of the DVD I believe miss There's no way out of there and Run Like Hell at finish.

  • Mr. Gilmour, you have made a major influence on many young guitarists. Bravo and i hope you keep playing such beautiful music

  • this song grabs in such awa its soooooo amazing

  • i just bought the dvd 4 days ago, omg soooo amazing! i dont know how to upload it on my computer though

  • David your a genius and a true inspiration

  • whats the chord he plays right before the first solo

  • I think it is

    1333xx

At least thats how i play it ;)

  • Oops, its supposed to be an Emsus4, not a Fmsus4.

    So its:

    0222xx

    ;)

  • david rocks!

  • A blues master of the highest order.

If you liked this, then most would appreciate Mark Knopfler.

    Five stars *****

  • love this DVD!!

  • I'm so lucky to have seen this concert along with floyd in 94, what a great moment in my life! i'm grateful to have seen Richard play along side David, Nick Mason was drumming for waters who was doing a gig at the same time...guess who got the biggest crowd? lol

  • As a guitarist, David Gilmour has taught me that playing with feeling is far more important than playing as fast as you can. And, even though he wants to do his own thing now, we will always have his lovely playing to listen to no matter what the band is called. I consider myself lucky.

  • When I hear David I hear Pink Floyd reincarnated to another dream state in my mind. It's just so extrodinary that David can still relate and cultivate the musical moment he created. And then there are times when I see him, his age, and I pause sometimes to think about this lifetime. I am very grateful for David and the rest of the contributors that made Pink Floyd's music what it is today.

  • remember that night

  • Let the night sorround you.

    I love you Dave.

    Rick..We miss U.

  • "Dreamers may leave, but there here ever after"

    We love you, Richard Wright.

  • "Dreamers may leave, but there here ever after"

    We love you, Richard Wright.

Couldnt have said it better man we all will love him and in times to come

  • Gilmour is the best ever...he looks like my uncle at this age, which gives it a little humor/irony (for me anyway). The best on this DVD is the Fat Old Sun solo...he tears it apart...plus makes every song he does look effortless!!!

  • This song puts me in such a great feeling. I REALLY feel like im on a beach at night with the woman of my dreams watching the stars and looking at the beauty of the earth. That is Gilmours greatest ability, to make you feel what the song and solo is about....i love it! Gilmour forever

  • This man is a genious on the guitar, no doubt.

  • Pink ~ you rock for putting these on here! I just saw the VH1Classic earlier this morning...for the first time...I was blown away...

The total treat for me besides the fact it's David and Roger...was that Crosby, Nash, and David Bowie, etc, etc, were there...was freaking magical energy between all of them.

    *lights a ciggarette*

I was but a young teen when Dark Side Of The Moon came out...lots of us, globally, have grown up with them at the same time. What an honor.

  • i agree with osvaldito67 david is a legend.. this solo is unreal

  • This man come from another planet. He is not real!!!!

  • gänsehaut pur ... wahnsinn

  • This is just so great....Gilmour,Wright,Manzanera,Crosby,Nash,and Pratt all playing together!

  • Dave Gilmour is such a great player, and the sound that he gets out of his Strat is the perfect rock/blues sound. His solos always seem to contain the perfect notes too. Don't know how he does it!

I was thinking while watching this video how much more blues he gets into his playing than people like Gary Moore. Less pyrotechnics, more heart.

Isn't the other lead player Phil Manzanera, by the way?

  • It's simple really - he sticks to the pentatonic minor scale a LOT. The cool thing is he always uses the notes that are in the chord he's soloing over. It sounds just TOO good-or too Gilmour! I've been a lifelong fan of his and it's just so great to see him still being creative and expressive, yet totally being himself. They look like they're having so much fun. It really warms your heart after all the crap all those guys on that stage have been thru but it's the music that brings them together.

  • Well exactly. If you know a bit of music theory, you can analise it and it is all really simple; pentatonic minor mostly, lots of emphasis on notes in the chord.

But somehow, while a million other players can do that, he always makes it sound original, better and always emotionally satisfying. It's what separates instrumental technicians from musicians. Being able to create a musical phrase, not just a sequence of notes.

  • he is fucking amazing ... GuilzZz for eva (V)

  • how does he make that maple sound better than rosewood(other guitar player). damn.....classic like stevie wonder last night

  • damn i thougth this song would last forever it felt like that!
