Thanks for that Duncan. This is a question that I historically haven't had any firm opinions on, but I know that others do & it seems to be a point of contention in that regard.
The point you made about non-profits reminded me of something thou - that schools and uni's aren't allowed to officially recommend any products. So that would certainly rule out ads on school sanctioned websites.
This raises the question as to where educator blogs fit in the mix - whether sanctioned or otherwise.
