  • wait, i dont understand what happened.. . why did she kill herself? :(

  • I don't like suicide.....

  • brucas forever

  • Actually I don't know what the fuss about todays Christians. Specially this song or band is not trying to make you Christian nor is it offending any people or religion or race here. So what are your arguments, people?

  • erm is it just me who came for tits?

  • the reason this song doesn't sound christian is because he sings to god with a true passion and love for god

  • ça me fè trop de peine pou Alex !!!!!! jldr heureusement kel survie !!

  • the way i look at it this is a song that i can either dedicate to the woman i love or a song that i can dedicate to God or both just listen to the song its your choice on how you hear it and interpret it

  • this song is Christian and its also a regular love song it has a double meaning to it like many songs from rock bands such as Skillet

  • this song can be a christmas song ?????

  • @ps360hdmi why not : D

  • Calm down.

the God of Isreal and Christanity is the God of Love. When Americans hear the word love they immediately translate into some either physical, based on assoication, family or something that we use everyday. That's not the Love of Christ. The Love of Christ is an unending stream that can not end. It is a Love that transends behavior. The most hardened murder is as Loved as the dead innocent child. That's something you can't grasp right off the bat. So no anger, no judging. Read of Christ

  • @ChelseaKristy03 most Christian songs are love songs from either the person to God or about Gods love for His Children...but if you see it as something else thats cool:) I understand 1000%!(yes i meant to put 1000 lol)

  • u people dont listen! u can take any song a different way. Switchfoot is a CHRISTIAN band. they play CHRISTIAN songs. and yes if a song is played by a CHRISTIAN band the songs are going to be CHRISTIAN. this song specifically is talking about Gods love. if u guys weren't so hardheaded u could see that.

  • @PantsMusic God breathes?

  • God is love, that is what Christians believe. When you love someone in any way, you have God in your heart. And whether you believe in God or not, you know the power of love. Great song

  • Well said.

  • Its switchfoot. they make good music. no further explanation.

  • When i used to write Christian music, I would always leave out the specific addresses of God. Who i was talking about was up to you, because Love is just that. Love.

  • Gods Love is not a secret and its right there for the taking Free for every one .

This group just knows what Gods love is about and wants to share it .

  • I love how they can play chirstain music and a lot of people who just watch the show and hear it don't realize, then they have this song in their head and look it up and realize, that's how God's love gets spread

  • SWITCHFOOT ST. LOUIS SIX FLAGS!!!!!

  • If you like this love song, imagine what kind of love song His angels can sing! All songs for him are love songs! That's what we were made for, to love!

  • I hated what julian did in this episode. I felt so sorry for brooke.

  • i'm playing this song while reading Naruto manga--,)

  • Eh... just to say, Jon Foreman explains what this song is about every time they play it. It's about God's grace. The whole "Your love is a symphony" is a reference to the String Theory, which says everything is made up of tiny strings at their most basic levels. Foreman says that all those strings are like a symphony playing for God.

I mean you can interpret it however you'd like, but that's what Jon Foreman intended it to be.

  • Brooke is soo insanely beautiful

  • Hey, check out my version of Your Love is a Song... it's my first upload on my new channel, please support me as i try to reach out to my friends and hopefully many more. Thanks :)

  • why is there a chick in the tub with blood eminating from her wrists?

  • Comment removed

  • <3ing this song!!

  • @TheZebulon I'm afraid whether or not I'm the delusional one if you call me on that. Since abortion clinics are still open and magazines and t.v shows encouraging underage sex are still in the market I'd say I have a clear enough idea of how our society views sexuality. I won't wish him luck, he could end up another teenage father.

  • maybe it's just me but i thought this was The Fray when i first heard this.great song though and i love Switchfoot.

  • ----------------->

  • Hey guys, switchfoot is a alternative band composed made up christian guys, and i know that some songs are with two way, i´m fucking indignat ´cuz swear that is a song dedicated to God, for some it´s something and for others other, is just be open minded

  • Just because this band writes christian music, doesn't mean that this song specifically is only christian... when I listen to it, I hear it as a love song like any other. I love this song, and I don't see it religiously.

  • @ChelseaKristy03 Maybe if you listened to it carefully you would understand what kind of love they are singing about. They are singing about God's love, How God's love is amazing and sweet. I'm not trying to start an argument or dis on your opinion. Just trying to explain what it's really about.

  • @igorp34 I think if you read Chelsea's comment carefully you would understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

  • @ChelseaKristy03 Well your right and wrong, the band meant it to be christian-themed BUT everyone is entitled to interpret songs how they want and enjoy them that way as well.

  • @ChelseaKristy03 understandable......except that this vid lacks a biblical understanding of love..which doesn't involve wrist cutting, but its a sad story in lives of many, Lord have mercy

  • @ChelseaKristy03 everyone has her or his own opinion. But this song is supposed to describe the love relationship with God. So that is the reason why you hear it as a love song cause it is but a little different type of love song.

  • @peelikeafather Yeah, maybe so, but that doesn't need to be the only way people see it. Every song, poem or any other piece of writing allows people to make their own opinions, and nothing is set in stone. I hear it as a non religious song, but that doesn't mean that it's not, it just means that I, myself, don't see it that way.

  • @ChelseaKristy03 Uhhhh Hello -----> Love = God :)

  • @ChelseaKristy03 That's the beauty of art. Great art can be interpreted many ways and inspire in many ways. That being said, I do believe he wrote it in regards to God's love, but again an artist usually produces his or her work with his or her own meaning and inspiration, but that doesn't mean it cannot be interpreted and inspire in other ways.

  • @ChelseaKristy03 evrybody has their own opinions honestly i like it both ways cause i love jesus and it's a great love song wrether it's to jesus or another person

  • @ChelseaKristy03 Well see this song is about God not of the world. Keeping my eyes and mind open means he's looking for God love and protection from the sin of the world. Religion has nothing to do with God. So now where in the song does it hint toward a woman. Sorry find Switchfoot on facebook and asked them they will tell you.

  • @moto3127 The song hints just as much toward a woman as it does to God. You obviously didn't read what I'd said, because if you had, you'd see that I didn't say it wasn't about God. Just that not everyone sees it like that. Be open-minded, it won't kill you.

  • @ChelseaKristy03 Great comment! I absolutely agree

  • I was glad to hear Switchfoot on OTH. They make christian music, but the album Hello Hurricane where this song comes from has a lot of songs who aren't specifically christian. You can hear this song in your own way, I think it doesn't have one meaning.

  • @Denisewoei It could be any kind of love song...? I adore Switchfoot

  • @glittermama0203 yeah that's what i meant. me too haha.

  • @glittermama0203 great job man. You looked up a song to troll it. WOW

I don't mean to be a jerk, but this is takes lame to a whole new level. again WOW.

  • great job man<:)

anyway i think everyone should be free to understand music there own way maybe this is a christian song but that doesnt mean u have to hear it that way.

  • Personally, I think it makes a LOT more sense for this song to describe a relationship between a man and a woman. Not a human and God. But hey, that's just my interpretation.

  • what the hell is your problem guys ? even if the song was written to describe love between human and god....isn't musice something that leaves space for interpretation for everyone? if people hear it and believe it's describing a boy-girl-lovestory-thing - why don't you just accept that....maybe they connect some beautiful memory with it and feel it hearing this song - so don't rage being proud to show off with some background information about the bands intention....

  • This is wrong, because this is a Christian Song, :/ Yikes!

  • it is love

  • This song is not about a relationship between a man and woman. BUT BETWEEN A HUMAN AND GOD!

  • Music video could not get any more stupid.

  • oh wow another 10 year old kid who thinks this song is about his girlfriend......I'm not against dating but that might be the shallowest form of thinking you can possibly stoop to. A relationship characterized with this t.v show is even more of an example. Media has done nothing but pervert and twist the ideals of holy marriage and tries to replace it with free sex and a misplaced sense of puppy love that the person feels for their girlfriend. the relationship is usually over in 3 weeks.

  • @AsILayPlaying319 free sex and love that lasts 3 weeks or a lifetime of repressed sexuality and medieval views on marriage... hmm i wonder... Personally I think religion has perverted and twisted the ideals of free sex and innocent love. so the kid feels it represents his present life experience, why dont you wish him luck and hope he enjoys it before the inevitable disillusion instead of using it as an excuse to ramble on about your delusional views on society and mass media.

  • guaoooooooo

  • This is an amazing song, but I agree with the top comment. This song is about how God's love for us is all surrounding and abundant. NOT about a unpure adult relationship.

  • @AK47Madness ya cuz you wrote the song right, u know all about it

  • @IXICSMIXI same to you. if you want to know its context, look at the other songs this band has written. none of them have to do with this.

  • I agree with the top comment. This song is about how God's love for us is all surrounding and abundant. NOT about a unpure adult relationship.

  • DON´T remove this video ! i just love it and if someone doesn´t, he doesn´t need to listen to it . so if you dont like this video it´s not our problem and we don´t want to read something like "we SF fans have to stick together - thumbs up if you want othmusicepisodes to remove this video" .. if you donßt like it - don´t watch it !

  • Your Love is a Song.. This is not the only song about God's love. There are tons of 'em. :)

  • this series and this song my absolute favorites, I just love it ..!

    ♥♥♥♥*______*♥♥♥♥

  • Pfffff bitching because of the pictures on the video. Get a life people. SEriously.

  • totally wrong, pics doesn't go with the song.

  • wow! rachel really is a slut! first taking drugs and letting brooke down and stealing her money! then marrying dan! its like she wants people to hate her!! lol i also hate alex for ruining brooke and julians relationship. love this song tho :)

  • This song are just... Beautiful ♥♥ OTH always & forever

  • Love this song!!

  • great song...horrible video...Where's God?No wonder the characters are so hopeless The lover of our soul is missing! .. Ok so I didn't realize this is a video for One Tree Hill..never seen the show..but hard for me to relate such an awesome song about God's love to such sad and depressing situations..Blessed anyway :)

  • great song...horrible video...Where's God?No wonder the characters are so hopeless The lover of our soul is missing!

  • i really luv this song. it brings out the best of me <3

  • JESUS LOVE IS A MELODY..PEOPLE THAT DONT HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY GOD'S LOVE IS A SONG...HE IS SOOOO AWESOME!

  • The end is horrible plus cutting your wrists is one of the very worst ways of killing yourself and it's probably the most painful! :(

  • On tree hill? Sounds like a redneck sister/brother porn.

  • the picture at 3:28 did anyone else laugh?

  • we all have our own interpretation of the song. guys its an amazing song. just let it flow through you. dont worry about it<3

  • I love this song, not because I'm religious or because I even knew that Switchfoot is a christian band. I can relate this song to the love I have for my husband, not Jesus. My beliefs have nothing to do with how awesome this song is, no matter who it was written for. I do NOT think about religion when I listen, because I am not religious whatsoever.

  • I clicked on the vid because the thumbnail was a naked lady in a bathtub. I'm a little disappointed...

not that the song isn't amazing, of course. Switchfoot ftw

  • God's love for us is a breath of fresh air, a song that uplifts the spirit within us. SORRY WRONG VIDEO!!!

  • It's totally inappropriate that these images are even posted with this song. Switchfoot is singing to Jesus. This song is not meant to be connected to meaningless bullshit like this ridiculous television show...or whatever the hell it is. GET A LIFE.

  • im one of the metal heads. but this song is great. i can sit here and listen to it over and over

  • Very good!!!!:)

  • All this talk about there only being ONE meaning to this song, is ruining the song for me.

  • What the hell are you talking about!!!???? There IS only one meaning to this song. This song was written FOR Jesus. It is created by a Christian band so shouldn't that clue you in to the meaning? Doesn't take rocket science to figure that one out. Why would you try to make it about something else?

  • @MsDRMT they're not changing the meaning...they're just interpreting it differently. it's meaning is the one that the artist who makes it gives it. the listeners can interpret it however they please. it happens a lot

  • @esmy Totally agree with you there. What's with the obsession of forcing one interpretation on everybody else? Everyone should be allowed to interpret the song as they like, no matther whether the band's Christian and actually wrote it for God or not. Music is supposed to be enjoyed, not cause trouble, discussions and insults being thrown back and forth. Can't we all just agree to disagree, sit back and enjoy good music?

  • God's love for us is much more than symphony. We humans can't comprehend the magnitude of His love for us.

  • ur right @mlgsriker28 thats a gr8 point and obviously some people need to chill, from both sides. I am a Christian too i just didnt know how to say that. thanx for help :)

  • yes it is a christian song but many christian song can be mistaken by people and they think it can be sang to a girl but it is about how gods loves everyone of us

  • geee i thot this was a christian thing...oh well

  • She tried to kill herself because everyone rejected her, calling her dumb, trash etc... The guy she was in love with even told her he'd never love her (because he's with another girl and he got mad at her after she went to his girlfriend to tell her she knew she was sterile and that he wanted kids more than anything). Basically, the tension built up since the very beginiing of the episode, she just broke down at the end wanting to let go.

  • Aww that's so sad. Anyone want to explain to me why she committed suicide?

  • nd is not that big of a deal anyway. Its just a song and i know its toward God and obviously so do all of you so whats the point of commenting anyway?

  • Hey guys, are we really doing this? Maybe @sharky1er420 has made bad decisions but so have you obviously with that language @adjuntmccarthy so you cant say that to them.

Matthew 7:5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

This is a lesson for all to watch what you say and do.

    Hear no evil

    see no evil

    speek no evil

  • wow to the comments below =3 but anywho i loovve one tree hill! i miss peyton and lucas though.

  • Omg. i love one tree hill .. and some of these comeents are interseting to read Ha ha wow..

  • oh no, listen everyone, sharky1er isn't the best model for Christians and the Christian faith. Don't let his poor character reflect on a God who does love and desire to be involved in our lives in a good and caring way.

  • this video has nothing to do with this song, this song is about the love that our lord and savior Jesus Christ has for us, his love is a synphony runnin to me, all aroud me and i'm gonna pray for the person who made this video b-cuz satan has blinded him/her who ever it is GOD LOVES YOU

  • @sharky1er420 could you not say "our" lord and savior? You don't speak for everyone.

  • @sharky1er420 Well damn there Sharky, you're a pretty damn good Christian, what with those FILTHY favourited videos you got on your profile... Didn't you realize unless you change your profile settings, everyone can see those just brilliant videos you bookmarked to jerk off to? But now isn't that a sin?! :O

OH THE HUMANITY. But I'm sure that deity of yours will love you all the same.

  • it's true anyone can interpret this in any way. it could be about two people or whatever, but the way that he's talking about how the love is everywhere-how it moves through him, how it lives in him-that's the love of God. that's just my take on it though.

  • @TheSideflip

The thing about music is that it can be interpreted differently by everyone, even though the musician's theme is obvious.

  • hmmmmm i did not think it was appropiate for this vid. it is soppose to be a chrisian song

  • @janeen4ever yeah it's suppose to be a christian song. not a wordly one

  • @janeen4ever whats wrong with christian songs? obviously mark liked this song since its in the episode

  • You can interpret this song for whatever you feel but i feel the symbolism of the lyrics and the placement of the song during those particular scenes. The song is symbolizes the power of love and faith. Alex had been rejected from the love she felt and had no hope left. It shows what love or lack of love can do to someone in any form.

My favorite song off Hello Hurricane and my favorite band. Thanks for picking this song CW!

  • ha ha, cheese.

  • i loveeeee that this song was used on the show! I went to their concert this summer and was a fan but not a huge one until I heard them play live. LOVE this song it's my favorite. ;:)}

  • dude!!! this isn't a love song about a man or woman!!!! it's about God's grace and love!!! You perverted this song.

  • the best thing about one tree hill defo the music and the characters even if the story line runs love they chose one epic tune to twist it arround the guy who choses the music is my hero such a range!

  • I LOVE SWITCHFOOT!!!! Video Is cool too!

  • this song isnt about some infactuation between two young adults guys. its about something much deeper. the love between god and each and everyone of us is what this is about.

  • @footballward No i respect your opinion but it who the person listening interprets it, one song can have a thousand meanings.

  • @footballward thank you i was about to respond to this lame video in the same way but i guess thats what happens when ppl are blinded by the vail that the enemy has covering there eyes but all we can do brother is pray those ppl am i right?

  • @footballward 200% agree with u!!! It's about my wonderful GOD and us!!!!!!!

  • @footballward not

  • I agree with you completely.

  • @footballward well spoken......This video should not have been paired with this song! It is a disgrace to the beauty and love that Switchfoot was trying to portray when they wrote this song..... it is about God's grace, to quote Jon Foreman (lead singer of Switchfoot) " This is a song about how the creator of heaven and earth could love someone like me."

If you have any respect, dignity or tact, you will remove this video......please like my comment if you agree with me!

  • @footballward acutally people take meaning from songs that they want and no one is required to take the love of God as a meaning. I have watched Live Video of this song and Jon says it's about "Grace" There's many meanngs for the word Grace. To me, this is a Love song about two people who love eachother uncondtionally. You get the meaning you want out of the song and I will get mine

  • this show has changed so much since i use to watch it there are so many new people and problems its hard to keep up but i love this song! one of my favorite songs by them. :)

  • i likes :D

  • one tree hill always have the best songs on the show. Musically OTH is definitely the best.

  • @paintballer123100 yah i was thinking the same thing kinda wrong!!

  • Just to tell you I didn't choose the song... It's the show... I mean, It's a channel for the songs used in the show, so go to blame the oth music supervisor !

  • @othmusicepisodes I ♥♥♥ this song. :)

  • @KukolkaG21 me too ^_^

  • @othmusicepisodes me dose(2)

  • @othmusicepisodes I'm not mad at you for putting this on here, in fact I think it's cool you're so dedicated to the show that you made a channel for the songs, more shows need that, but I'm not gonna lie, it irritates me when songs about/for God, are used for something so trivial.

  • @othmusicepisodes Hey thanks for uploading all this videos! You are awesome! ;)

  • @othmusicepisodes Just because you didn't choose the song doesn't mean that you can't remove the video.....if it is offensive to fans of Switchfoot ( as it is to me), I believe that it is only respectful to the band and the fans that you remove it.....please and thank you!

Please like my comment if it offends you as much as it does me......we SF fans have to stick together!

  • @eiredance92 You do realize that Switchfoot agreed at some point to let the producers use their song in this episode right? If they agreed and didn't object to it, why do you "fans" seem to have so much to say about how the song doesn't go with the video?

  • Worst video ever. You took what was meant to be for God, and made it a girl and guy (non married couple at that). Then you put pictures of something Anti-God, (Suicide) at the conclusion of the song. Way to ruin it for us all. Thumbs DOWN!

  • @shadowalkmusic LMAO.

  • @shadowalkmusic Not everyone in the world is a Christian and Switchfoot themselves have said their music has more than one meaning. The song is beautiful, and to me it is about love.

  • @Emmie3303 well to the writers it's about God's grace. so who cares what you think.

  • @TheNatedog24 Very tolerant of you =].

  • @Emmie3303 Well it's what it's about and it's a very true meaning. so except it or not it's what it is!!

  • @TheNatedog24 Every song has many meanings, regardless of what the writers intended it to be about. If you can't accept that other people have a different interpretation then I doubt that you're going to respect my right to an opinion either.

  • @Emmie3303 Well this song was never meant to be perverted. yes many meanings but not about some suicide or whatever the heck this is supposed to be about!!! i respect your viewpoint as long as you don't think correctly represents the song.

  • @TheNatedog24 Have you watched the show? If you had then you would probably realise that the man behind the music is amazing at choosing songs to fit. Sometimes he even writes songs into the script before it's even been filmed. It depends what your opinion on suicide is to be honest.

  • @Emmie3303 well good job for him. but it's ruining the song!! dude!! suicide is terrible!!

  • @TheNatedog24 Of course suicide is terrible but it shouldn't mean it can't be discussed. It's a problem that isn't going to go away by shunning those who feel the need to go that far.

  • @Emmie3303 well why make a video about it??? that's terrible!! they're making like the song has something to do with suicide. switchfoot never intended that!! i was at there concert when he explained it. 10 feet from jon. he never meant it to be that and you're sick if you think he did. lol

  • @TheNatedog24 It's not a video, it's a TV programme. The person who posted this has just put pictures of what is happening in the show while the song is playing. I'm not going to explain why the song fits, you'd have to watch the show to know why.

  • @Emmie3303 wow whatever. just messed up. i don't want to watch suicidal shows sorry.

  • @TheNatedog24 That's fine, but you're missing out. It's a good show, not like most of the shallow shows aimed at teens.

  • @Emmie3303 that's nice but why show such bad stuff? yeah let's teach our teens suicide that's great!!
