  • SSSSSSPPPPPOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOMEEEEE!!!!!!

  • bitter dregs. that is all.

  • i am crying XD

  • omg he's so talented in everything, he wrote this song & has a beautiful voice

  • This is great ! Thanks!

  • He is just so amazing, a good singer and hot, if I do say so myself.

  • I have always tried to remember the words..Spock does a very haunting and good job here.

  • Be still, my heart! -3

First we get to hear Spock laughing, the we get to see him dancing, and now he sings!

It's little wonder why Plato's Stepchildren is one of my top 10 favorites.

  • :36 the dwarf looks like he's either going to cry or orgasm

  • @HarukaChoEmi I was going to correct you by saying "he's not a dwarf he's a midget" but , yeah, you are correct on both accounts

  • :35 the dwarf looks like he's either going to cry or orgasm

  • That is the funnyest shit Iv'e heard in a while

  • its enough to see spock in that outfit, but to hear him singing...?

  • Can you imagine what this would sound like it if were Kirk singing?

Take. Care. Youngladies. Andvalue. Your. Wine.

Love Shatinarian. Yes, that is the actual word for how Kirk/Shatner speaks. :D

  • The song is very beautiful when you don't look at it, cause Spock looks a bit... ridiculous, singing it.

  • Meanwhile, there's not a virgin left in the house after listening to that voice. <3

  • You're killing him! Can't you see he's a Vulcan?!

  • omg this was amazing!!! i have it on my fone haha love you leo!!!

  • 0.23 Lou Ferrigno?

  • @Orcinus24x5 no silly, the original Wild wild west's Dr Loveless was played by Michael Dunn as seen here, the little person. He was quite alive and well, then. The movie remake was a piece of shit compared to the original, just like the original Star Trek is waaaay better than the reimagining w/Chris Pine as a pussy Capt Kirk, compared to Bill Shatner THE KING Kirk, shows and Trek movies!

  • Wow what a great Vulcan tune! Spock can Vulcan Wail! I bet he got some that night. Now that he got his Vulcan head out of his Vulcan ass. I remember this scene well.

  • I feel so sorry for Mr. Spock! You could see just how embarassed he was! I want to clobber those wanna-be Platonians! You could see it was bothering Uhura and Chapel a hell of a lot, too. They could barely look at him, they were so embarassed for him! Haha, and Jim look piiiissed!

  • @ cosmoline626 dude, what happens on the planet stays on the planet!

  • I didn't know Spock could sing until I saw this ep. His voice is like velvet, all soft and deep abs luxurious and smexy... ROWR!!!!!

  • @Orcinus24x5 IDLERACER is talking about the original tv series which was running around the same time.

  • He's got such a great, strong voice.

  • Mr. Spock, do me a favor...the next time you experience Pon Farr, do give me a call...I'll always keep my "hailing frequencies open for you" ;P

  • I KNOW RIGHT!

  • Spock would never leave with any woman's treasure "in cold morning light" ;_; why oh why can't he be real?

  • @cherryantacid421 I've asked myself the same question many, many times.

  • HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT! he'snot fictional he just has'nt been born yet and scince we haven't made first contct (pardon the TNG reference ) plus i think they are stilll in barbaric phases. if uyou trully loved him you would'nt be so closed minded.

  • This kills me.

  • His voice is reminiscent of a young Leonard Cohen.

Or maybe it's the other way around. ;-)

  • Spock looks like he's choking back tears. Being a Vulcan, he must have been so humiliated, even more so than Kirk, Uhura, and Chapel when they were being tortured. I think that's why Uhura and Chapel are so upset, because they feel terrible for what he's going through. It's so sad. :( That said, Spock has a sultry voice. It would be great if there had been an episode in which he sang on the Enterprise while playing his Vulcan harp.

  • Considering Chapel's attitude towards Spock this is almost as cruel for her as it is for him.

God, I love the song though, not to mention Nimoy's voice ...

  • Spock you Rock!!!!!!!

  • ..........now that was hot..

why cant he be MINE foreverrrrrr aaahh !! hes such a wonderful alien <3

  • *SWOON!*

  • oh you magnificent beast!!!

  • Go Spock, Go Spock!

    Timothy

    :o)

  • huh. why oh why cant i just completely snap and start hallucinating spock in that outfit singing to me that was beautiful, bizarre and sexy all at the same time???? MAD WHOS MAD..<3 spock..

  • Ouch...

Think how he must have felt when all that was over and he had to walk onto the bridge the next morning...

    Talk about awkward!

  • @cosmoline626 Oh yeah

  • leave with your treasure...mmmm, he's looking at her boobies when he says that snicker snicker

  • beautiful

  • I Love him so much =] He sounds SO cute

  • Nimoy wrote this song himself!

  • REALLY?! COOL!! =D GO Mr. Spock!! WE LOVE YOU!!

  • Why Spock?!

    WHYYYYYYYYYYY...

  • That was the most sexiest thing I have ever seen Spock done on this show, I was actually turned on by this.

  • Poor Spock! You know that was so humiliating for him, but it was beautiful, nonetheless.

  • Leonard Nimoy is absolutely amazing in every way :D

  • lenard nemoy is like a poet,he has an amazing voic..........BILBO,BILBO BAGGINS,HE`S ONLY 3 FOOT TALL!!!

  • Spock was the Justin Timberlake of his century

  • LMAO!

  • Spock is the one taking sexy away from Justin in my opinion. He's hot. Especially ZQ as Spock. lol.

  • thank you spock, i loved it

  • UHURA'S HAIR IS OBNOXIOUSLY HUGE!

  • Blame those stupid sadistic aliens, they made them wear those silly hairstyles and togas! And if that hair wasn't bad enough, they next forced her to kiss Shatner. LOL

  • woah

  • In a similar vein check out:

NANCY SINATRA & LEE HAZLEWOOD - SUMMER WINE

    kiones12

  • This is the best song of the Star Trek series, no doubt.

    The simple accompaniment is gold.

  • ah ah ah... bitter dregs. words that ring true on many occasions. try replacing bitter dregs with other things. like dim sum. it can be quite fun.

  • is uhura wearing darth vaders helmet

  • LMFAO! She's smuggling it under the wig they put on her- they're filming in the studio right next to them XD

  • This song could be used to make teenagers consider sexual abstaince.

  • I love Mr Spockxxx and Leonard Nimoyxxx ahhhxx

  • Now you know that this led to the bith of Tupok...

  • this is one of my favorite episodes from the TOS! especially when kirk rided like a donkie xxx lol that bit horried but funny xxxx

  • And did you know that Leonard Nimoy wrote that song too?, no me neither and I've been a fan of his for years.

It sounds much better when it's put to music. It's off his album called A Touch Of Leonard Nimoy which I have. I prefer this much more then that awful song Bilbo. I can't stand that song, or sit it either, lol.

  • No, it's a tunic.

  • WTF are bitter dregs??

  • The undrinkable remains at the bottom of a barrel of wine, usually containing sediment.

  • And sometimes poison.

  • @Orcinus24x5 oh like the stuff at the bottom of a jug of cider; the pulpy stuff?

  • @Orcinus24x5 MARMITE 8D

  • @pisces2268 I think it's like wine, or something liquid made by brewing

  • ahhahhahhh bitter dregs....

  • i felt so sorry for him, the first time i saw this episode. even though he has a great voice.

  • I'm not talking about that crappy 1999 movie, I'm talking about the original television series that was on at the same time as Star Trek (1965-1969). The actor who played Dr. Loveless (shown at the very beginning of this clip) was the late great Michael Dunn (not Kenneth Branagh).

  • oookay. poor spock. wasn't he also made to laugh, cry, dance, and smash a vase, too?

  • he smashed the CUP-not vase- on his own while fighting to get control of his anger at being made to do the other things.

  • I had no idea that the guy who played Dr. Loveless on "The Wild Wild West" also played the harp...or whatever the hell that thing is.

  • THE SONG IS ACTUALLY CALLED "MAIDEN WINE", Nimoy released the full version of it as a single from his Paramount record "THE TOUCH OF LEONARD NIMOY" 1969.

....it was on paramounts "Dot" lable.

    thanks

  • lol touch of nimoy. sounds hot.

  • i'd be happy to make you a copy , i have all of his albums!

  • hhahah do it do it! I heart Spock.

  • If it's not too much trouble, could you share with me too??? Dear GOD, please!

  • I was never so hot for Nichelle Nichols as after I saw her in that getup.

  • poor spock. lol.

  • lol whatever that was SO not against his will. ROFL!!!!!1

  • Great video! I was watching "Plato's Stepchildren" today and then searched for the video here. The actual title of the song is "Maiden Wine" and it was written by Leonard Nimoy.

  • Oh, thank you for the information!

  • It's odd.. Mentally, I know that Spock is played by Leonard Nimoy.. Mentally, I know that Leonard Nimoy has a beautiful singing voice.

    But Spock+singing just never seems to connect, no matter how many times I see this episode. x3;

  • I believe so, yes.

  • LOL! i laughed, i cried... also, Spock has never looked sexier than in that sparkly dress.
