It's not their fault, some people are living under the rock. I don't think that we all should be offense, just happened. Help them to understand that we can able to read, write or/and talk. Around here, tons of people called us "Deaf and Mute" all the time. I have to remind them that we have voices, drop the word "mute" instead. Gosh, hand you a braille? I would say, "No, thanks" then smile warmly. But I only saying... I hate to see deafies usually gone nut over people's mistakes.
at airport, the stewardess did give me the magazine that has braille.. i looked at her, and say i am not blind,. i only am deaf.. she got blushed.. i was pissed. LOL
