  • A great artist and fellow traveler. Made my life and world a better place to live. Bless you

George and the rest of the Fab Four!

  • great stuff

thanks for the post of this

    from what interview is this?

    again thanks

  • WHITNEY HOUSTON FUNERAL = 2 weeks of nonstop international news coverage.

GEORGE HARRISON FUNERAL = 2 weeks of nonstop drinking by Jeff Lynne.

  • does anyone know what year this interview is from?

  • @doodapgingerale I used to have the full interview.....I think it was done in 82 by an Australian Tv host called Kerri Anne Kennerly !!!

  • @isawman1 thank you!

  • He still looks young in this video. He always lookes like the younger one.

  • This footage would be from the early 1980s - he's going "troppo" - spending much of his time in northern NSW, Australia. According to local commercial radios back then he was supposed to have been walking around all over the place the streets of towns and cities in that part of the world. I was living in Coffs Harbour at that time, but I'll be buggered if I ever saw him or someone who might be him, but cleverly disguised. Thats not to say that didn't happen, but radio stations do bullshit. .

  • Poor George! The minor Beatle! Mr. Beatle-Lite. Little wonder the other Beatles rejected so much of his early music. He had little command of complex melody or lyrical construction!

I cringe every time I hear his voice!

  • Pfft! The minor Beatle speaks! Mr. PLAGIARIZER!

My god, talk about the BARNACLE taking over the

SHIP! George Harrison, who always struggled with

music, ought not to have ever gone as far as he did

musically. Except for his Beatle credentials, no one

and I mean NO ONE would know who this man is.

  • @thegrinchl7 you're not really very together are you?

  • @modcraft13 - I admire the Beatles. I DO NOT

admire or respect George Harrison. I do not like

the way he tried to shove his religion down our

throats or the way he lived his life (i.e. preached

the evils of MATERIALISM while he lived in a

luxurious 120-room exotic mansion). Or the way

he preached taking care of the planet and our

"health" with a fucking cigarette hanging out of

his mouth. You know, I might feel differently about

him if he wrote great music...but he didn't.

  • @thegrinchl7 That's the dumbest statement yet; it's like saying, despite his American Idiot credentials nowone would know who billy joe is; or despite his Elvis credentials nobody would know who Elvis is -_-

Dude obviously nobody would know George if not for the BEatles; as for any other singer in each of his bands. Goerge was a skilled musician, a happy man, and a great composer, in fact of solos and arrangements. You suck

  • @BeatlesRock1969 - George Harrison and Ringo

were always REPLACEABLE. You cannot say the

same about John and Paul. That you and others

are in here every day trying to construct a new legacy

for George is laughable. For most of his life George

could not attract flies. Now, all of a sudden...he's the

2nd coming of Mozart? "Skilled musician"? George

struggled with music. It did not come easy to him like

it did to his older, more talented mates!

It did not come easy to him.

  • @thegrinchl7 That's BULLSHIT, where are you getting your information?! George wrote 1/4 of all the BEatles songs, and most of them are REALLY good, so what the fuck are you saying? i remember an interview in which Paul recalled George's audition for them, and he played incredibly well, just raw improvised beauty and John said: "You're in"

He was a genius, CERTAINLY not a second coming of Mozart, well duh; but he always was a great song writer and singer. please stop talking shit

  • @thegrinchl7 (seond comment) plus i agree that maybe Ringo might have been replaceble, i mean he was a good drum player, and was EXACTLY what the BEatles needed, but sure he wasn't a great song writer, since..he only wrote one song; but anyways, George was NEVER replaceable, he was as cited from another interview held by the BEatles "the soul of the band" Paul was the heart, John the brain, and Ringo the veins. Everything was linked, and George is a great musician, period.

  • @BeatlesRock1969 - George was a lot of things. He was a good soldier. He did what he was told. He harmonized well but let's not kid ourselves: GEORGE WAS NO GENIUS! He did NOT write 1/4 of the Beatle catalogue. Most of George's music was flatly rejected...and only near the end did his material improve (with help). With manipulation his voice could sound magical (his soaring chant in "A Day In The Life" was magnificent). Otherwise, his voice was never really meant for solo work.

  • @BeatlesRock1969 - Please to excuse. I like George berry much.

I like his song: Crackerjack Polish and "He So Fine". But please...

this man he's not so good with the music. He make very bad song

sometime: He play guitar berry bad sometimes. He always

try to stick the god in my pants. He say tings like "Oh...money is

the devil" but this man he is live in big mansion and drive

the big car. Why for you think he a "genius"? My dios, I don't

    need genius to spend money!

  • @ArgentineExpel4Fraud Si piensas que todos tenemos que posess the same amount of money or cars and materialist shit, indipendently from our work you sir are a comunist; in capitalism people who do alot of work have a lot of money, people who don't don't, so if you want equality over everyone, life will be numb and boring; through your reasoning a person who is a lazy ass and a person who works hard should get the same pay and household; well im against that.

  • @BeatlesRock1969 - What George PREACHED is

often NOT how he lived. He was a hypocrite. And

please keep your Spanish for Mexico.

  • @BeatlesRock1969 FrightWolf, ArgentinaExpel4Fraud, TwoUselessLegs, thegrinch7, CubanCheGuevara, UploadedGiovlin, MrAnusmystere = ONE PERSON. Ooops, I meant trolling hater.

  • @thegrinchl7 Hi stalker.. George is hot, Go die.

  • I meant exchange drink FOR dope

  • I never get the comparison between Pot or Marijuana and Alcohol. The effect feels MUCH different for me. Alcohol makes you more talkative and effusive as well as relaxed, whereas I always felt that dope kind of paralizes you ; making you uncommunicative and tongue tied

  • @TheKenfig same. with alcohol I turn outward > with reefer I turn inward < . alcohol you have fun with anybody around you. with weed you have fun with yourself haha but you think differently and take things differently. I don't feel like talking. just relaxing

  • @crosshairs3 Yeah it's like being lost in time and space inside a glass bubble, or straight jacket, unable to talk, walk, move etc. That's why I didn't get them saying it was a substitute for whiskey

  • @TheKenfig well I can still walk haha. I think they are saying all drugs/alcohol are similar because they are all aids or vehicles to change your state of consciousness and distort your reality.

  • @crosshairs3 Well, when I was 18 and last smoked it, as I've never been a 'smoker' of fags, that was 30 years ago and I couldn't bloody walk on THAT occasion,as I'd been drinking beer all afternoon on a Saturday and was fine and ready for the entire evening ; night club etc.but about 6:30 pm a friend rolled this joint in a pub ; I had a few drags and then staggered to the toilet and the floor went diagonal ! ; I had to hold onto the washbasin till I could figure out how to get home !

  • @TheKenfig ahhh yes I've had those experiences. mixing marijuana and alcohol makes me feel horrible and you get really messed up. best to keep them separate. I don't smoke as much as I used to. by the way are you from the UK or London? I visited once and had a great time in a pub in London called the Phoenix. I forget the street but it was near Regents park. had great times in Camden too. visited abbey road zebra crossing! love the Beatles

  • @crosshairs3 I also understand that he meant that they exchanged alc for dope for relaxation purposes, I just wouldn't have been a substitute for me to exchange it for drink. Anyway, I have not had alcohol for twelve years. I am from the U.K. but not London, although I know London very well. Regents park area, like St.John's Wood and Marylebone are, as you know, lovely areas of the city

  • bla bla bla bla bla b'bla bla bla bla bla bb'bla bla bla who care about what bugs think?

  • A good man and good men die young!

  • A bit too edited, but still nice.

  • What a calming, non judgmental man <3

  • what ever was, i say, RIP sweet man!!

  • acid victim

  • This has to be the most retarded comments section I've ever seen.

  • Pay attention : The Beatles gave up booze in favor of cannabis. Even then, they knew it was common sense: booze bad, weed good.LEGALIZE.

  • @AllStarBugler HA! If you think they gave up booze, you must be on CRACK.

  • @slidingland And you must be about 13..........

  • @AllStarBugler Not quite. But really, they didn't give up drinking. Perhaps they found weed to be more of a good time, but they didn't put down the bottle for it. They did both.

  • ".....walking on the water is just one of those things that just happen along the way...." -- huh?!?!?

  • What was this from?

  • SUN GLASSES OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE. Only george harrison. ;D

  • "As Popeye would say" only with George Harrison :D

  • with all due respect, it's funny how a member of the beatles would get johns lyrics wrong. he says mother you left me, but i didn't leave you. the correct way is father, not mother. it's at 48 seconds. maybe i'm too analytical. like if you caught that :)

  • @TheScottkelley . I'm sure John himself got the two mixed up, seeing how good he was with remembering his own lyrics :) Besides, when that song was written, John Lennon wasn't part of The Beatles, and George Harrison wasn't either. John was John and George was George and they each went separate ways and did their own musical thing. I obsess over that song as much as the next 'Maniac, and I always mix the two up....

  • Julian's a better man than his father.

  • I miss you George<3

  • Interesting. I tried to type pt 2 with not results. How can I hear rest of interview? What are details such as who did the talk, etc? Am I right that Julian did Days like These or whatever title? I saw John did one.

  • George looked really good at this time in his life.

  • John was definitely the funniest Beatle, but George seemed to be the most level-headed.

  • George's version of Mother is so much happier.

  • Pot. Shrooms. Acid. That's all you should ever do. <3

  • why do posters think they're negative opinions about Harrison are important or interesting?

  • mdma, lsd and marijuana

  • He has a lot of insight on John Lennon. But to say that it is too bad that Julian allows himself to be interviewed etc.?? Wow....

Julian has to make a living maybe because he did not inherit his father's wealth?

  • YEAH LETS ALL FIGHT ABOUT RELIGION INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING WHAT THE BEATLES BELIEVED IN: PEACE.

  • I love how the most violent reactions and crudest comments come from the so called "religious" or christian people. It always makes me sick to see that. It is because of that, I have decided not to go with any of them. I have faith in people and myself and see no reason to feel any other way... it has worked for me for 64 yrs now. So continue to fight and be rude in the name of religion or your gods. Enjoy yourselves ,,peace out

  • @caroline0747 - What a refreshing post. I see this "religious business" the same way. Peace to you all!

  • Comment removed

  • @snsliberty2 I think George had seen enough of the 'salvation' that is christianity when he toured the United States with the Beatles. And India is not the Middle East.

  • @snsliberty2

each to their own.... each religion is nonsense anyway. not all of them can be correct.... esp christianity.. which has more criminal acts through its name than any other religion worldwide.

its a shame you preach so much... no one likes a preacher

  • @mrbassman25 Dude just because somebody says they are christian doesnt mean they are actually christian the catholic church was a religion twisted for profit and nothing else. If people commit crimes on purpose for greed or to purposely hurt someone they are not following the christian way. To be christian is to love everyone else even if they are judgmental and have hate in them. thats one of the main bases of being christian just saying man well think about. cya:)

  • @snsliberty2 im an atheist, and i find that offensive.

  • @picklejarzz Last time I checked we were still living in America, freedom of speech and the right to expression. If you want to march yourself into the Lake of Fire thats your business, but don't force your religion(atheism) on others because they utter God's truth. Read John 3:16 through 21. It will show you where you stand with God. This is for all people.

  • @snsliberty2 The internet isn't Americe you idiot. And the only one that's forcing religion on anyone is you. Please keep your religious nonsense to yourself.

  • @snsliberty2 Your kind of bigoted religious dogmatism is exactly the reason why George turned to Eastern philosophy instead.

  • @snsliberty2 What makes you think that your salvation is any better than his salvation ?

  • @snsliberty2 The real shame is that what you know about George Harrison, Eastern religion(s) (which all pre-date Christianity by many, many years) and geography (as pointed out by @LeonEyedass) all put together wouldn't fill a thimble.

  • @snsliberty2 Duped? what says that one religion is right and the others are wrong? If Christens have found so much salvation then why do they find it necessary to try to tare down any other way of thinking that doesn't conform to what they believe? I don't see too many Buddhists or Hindus running around screaming that they're right and everyone else is wrong, and I sure as hell didn't see George doing it.

  • @snsliberty2 I'm sure the 'false Middle East religions' think you are a shame. Try Asian.

Can you not just enjoy George Harrison's work, you know, what he's famous for, instead of criticizing his lifestyle? He obviously decided he wasn't that bothered about 'Christ and his salvation', so maybe you shouldn't be either?

  • @snsliberty2 christ was middle eastern

  • @simplejack81 Well stated. Christianity is a false Middle East religion.

  • @simplejack81 but most western interpretation of Christianity is far from Middle Eastern or the context of the Middle East 2000 yrs ago.

  • @snsliberty2 At least he wasn't into Jewish witchcraft.

  • @snsliberty2 Christ is a cunt.

  • @snsliberty2 .....and the Lord he was singing about was Krishna, the Hindu 'lord', not the Christian God.

  • @snsliberty2

Sweet! I was worried he was dumb enough to be a true Christian.

  • @vandermade24 - I have news for you , which is the best news ever!

George Harrison became a Christian at the end of his life, as it is stated in the book beatlemania,

The author of that book, states that when interviewing George, that George said he had embraced his traditional christianity, that he had come back to it.

And there are other things that i found out, i believe George Harrison was saved in the end, PRAISE GOD!!!!

  • @kajehgb

Damn it! That sucks. Well at least Lennon wasn't a bitcass nigga like Harrison.

But yeah, you're still pretty much a retard. lol.

  • @kajehgb Proof, or it didn't happen.

  • @kajehgb

exactly man..and thats why his ashes were scattered in the Ganges according to the "christian tradition" !!! stupid ignorant fanatic fuck..i mean who cares? be it Allah, Krishna, Jesus or a fucking stone..if embracing them makes you do good..makes u a better man/woman than so be it..

  • @vandermade24 This was a man who was searching for the truth his whole life, but was handed a lie from the devil.

George was a beautiful man and it seems the main thing he was looking for was the TRUTH AND THAT IS JESUS AND NO ONE ELSE.

God had the last word at the end and brought George Harrison to the real TRUTH JESUS CHRIST.

    Yes YES!!

George Harrison was a Christian at the end of his life.

  • @kajehgb I thought he was hindu at the end of his life. I don't know for sure but he sang about life having no beginning no end, never born never die(any road), and he has an indian chant at the end of brainwashed which was his last song.

  • @kajehgb So, you're saying after all those years with Krishna, all George had was spiritual enlighenment, but once he returned to Jesus, he was promptly delivered to his demise? JESUS KILLED GEORGE!!! You bastard!

    God is a certainty.

    Jesus is a mystery.

    -Deism

  • Our God is an AWESOME GOD HE REIGNS FROM HEAVEN ON HIGH.

OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD.

  • @kajehgb

Still lolling at what a faggot you are.

  • @kajehgb the Indians say "oopar vaaley kaun hai ? , humein m`aloum nehin hai!" Who is the almighty above ?, we don't know"

But they follow their many faiths anyway.

  • BOY THESE KIDS IN THESE LAST GENERATIONS ARE TALKING HEADS. NOTHING WORD READING...YET LOVE HEARING GEORGE.......MISS HIM. MISS HIM A LOT......GLAD PAUL AND RINGO ARE STILL AROUND AND ARE VEGETARIANS........DON'T MISS THE DRUGS, JUST MUSIC AND LOVED ONES PASSED.

  • BOY THESE KIDS IN THESE LAST GENERATIONS ARE TALKING HEADS. NOTHING WORD READING...YET LOVE HEARING GEORGE.......MISS HIM.

  • Sounds like he was on drugs in this interview.

  • @PumpkinPuffer NOT AT ALL YOU IDIOT......

  • It's good to know that the remaining Beatles kept in touch with Julian. John would be proud of his mates.

  • he is so right, i used to drink alot until i found marajuana and now i dodrink at albe xmas and even then, i can smoke relax after a day and get straight to goh work the nextttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt or whenever, if only more opened there minds to things they know little about

  • @airfaith --- well said

  • Kudos to George for quoting Popeye.

  • i love listening to george. he is (at least to me) the most "relate-able" beatle as far as his basic approach to life/ relationships to those in your life goes. george hits the nail on the head!

  • I love you, George!

  • Looks so young here.

  • I miss him.

  • a very wise man, george was

  • @MrFlippyHair I'm not that hardcore when it comes to getting high. POT and BEER get me through these days. Drug addiction is expensive man.

  • @kamagong78 Too expensive for me. I'm actually trying to stop right now.

  • where is part 2, jesus christ?¿!!

  • "... the naughtiest part of Hamburg." A sly reference to the Rutles.

  • George rpobably was the most realistic the most sincere beatle. God bless you ...what you say about John and Julian it's totally true. John always projected a different image from what he really was.

  • Miss you still George !

  • THIS IS GREAT!

  • "And then they invented marijuana" hahahaha

  • Thanks. I just don't want to hear what George is saying. Smilez.

  • Such a wonderful man! Humble, sweet ...A beautiful soul!!!

  • Awwww so nice to see George just talking about things. May he rest in peace <3 x

  • Thanks for uploading this video!! =)

Do you have the full interview or do you know where I can find it? I'd really love to watch it!

  • @annaaaabv No, sorry this is all i got. I would love to see more too.

  • I think that post from @annaaaabv was improperly flagged as spam ... it seems to be an honest exchange of information meant to be helpful. I'm almost offended, somehow, that someone actually flagged it. This was a false flag operation! I'm telling Alex Jones... lol.

  • @annaaaabv Really, it just sort of cuts off, doesn't it?
