This footage would be from the early 1980s - he's going "troppo" - spending much of his time in northern NSW, Australia. According to local commercial radios back then he was supposed to have been walking around all over the place the streets of towns and cities in that part of the world. I was living in Coffs Harbour at that time, but I'll be buggered if I ever saw him or someone who might be him, but cleverly disguised. Thats not to say that didn't happen, but radio stations do bullshit. .

He did NOT write 1/4 of the Beatle catalogue. Most of George's music was flatly rejected...and only near the end did his material improve (with help). With manipulation his voice could sound magical (his soaring chant in "A Day In The Life" was magnificent). Otherwise, his voice was never really meant for solo work.
