  • ITunes cannot handle a large library, so you can stick to your lame iPod to listen to your top 40 songs all day.

  • There's no headphone out?

  • @madhatter2k There is, it's ok.

  • @madhatter2k Lol, yup. That's how I do a comparison with the built-in speaker vs a set of Creative stereo speakers.

  • @madhatter2k Yes, there is. He points it out on the side. 5:30

  • LOL That's not a handle in the back, it's a bass reflex vent.

  • good informative video.. ..thanks

  • No output! I wanted to connect it to my sonos s5. RIVALRY!

  • what happened to rebate

  • Stereo when plugged into headphones or hooked up to auxiliary sources

  • Is it in stereo?

  • @GDelva2003 There is one speaker only. No, it is not in stereo.

  • Never mind I saw it in the video that you can.

  • Can the Squeezebox radio play slacker radio?

  • Just wanted to share that it is now $99.99 after rebate, click my link in the description.

  • Any chance of getting you to demo your current setup? The touch with the dock? That would be a route I might consider. Would love more details on it. Thanks for the great reviews.

  • @lucas1967 Sure, I'll add that to my to-share list in the future.

  • Regarding PAUSING -- from the manual:

"Music from your library, as well as music from interactive online services, can generally be paused for as long as you like. If you are listening to a streaming radio station, pressing pause will pause the music until Squeezebox Boom’s memory buffer is full. The memory buffer can store several minutes of music, with the exact length dependent on the radio station’s sampling rate."

  • Good Review but i dont think that is a handle.. in a speaker that hole is designed to help the bass :)

  • Thanks. No, the handle in the back where I use to grip the unit is not a bass port. If you pause my Logitech Squeezebox Radio unboxing where I show the back you will see that its a one way hole into plastic. With that said, the bass isn't bad,, but not in the same league as my Harmon Kardon Go+Play which does have a single bass port.

  • @moophoto sorry jumped the gun myself after seeing that bit i realized myself. i just got one of these myself. i have you say your review is very clear

  • Not at all thanks for the comment, I don't consider that rude. I love my iPhone, (in spite of its problems, but mostly with ATT) - this isn't an iPhone review. I look at the way I consume my media, and compare how the Logitech Squeezebox Radio enhances that experience. It does, and very well which is the reason why I gave it an 8/10 <-- really high rating. However, it did not bring enough to the table compared to the setup I currently use which costs way more. (itouch + expensive dock).

  • now sorry for me being rude, but you actually can't compare the iPhone with that. I don't know what you're so fond of those apps, because this is a proper device. the iPhone tries to be everything, being actually nothing really good. Once again i'm sorry
