He is going to cut military spending in half, cut most CIA and FBI jobs (making it easier for an attack on us), tax the Hell out of the rich (meaning the rich will take company's overseas & our jobless rate will worsen), he will make it legal to kill more babies with late term murder (abortion). Maybe he will put bill ayers & the rev. in the White House too. Well I guess thats change huh? Those who hate the USA want obama to win for a reason. Thanks.

Hey Barrack, he asked you about a "GUT WRENCHING DECISION", not an unpopular decision. By the way, you weren't even in the US Senate on that decision, so it didn't even matter. What a tool.
Deciding on abortion is above Mr. Obama's paygrade? Wait, isn't he in the Congress, and is it not the Congressional responsibility to make laws? Granted, the Supreme Court made abortion legal, but this is indeed within your paygrade. I'm in the military, and those who cannot perform the daily functions of their own paygrade do not get promoted to the next higher rank and paygrade. Mr. Obama, if you can't speak strongly on this, you are not ready to move up the chain of command.
We had a good candidate in Ron Paul, but the Republican party would rather go on with neo-con business as usual. I will not be voting for neither McCain nor Obama. This year my vote will be going to Bob Barr, Libertarian candidate.
why is obama's head always tilted to one side? it's probably being weighed down by his concentration on how to appear like a public representative while being, in fact a conservative, corporate sell out. i'd recommend nader to give obama a chiropractic adjustment. nader could get obama's head on straight.
Former Republican members of Congress Bill Hendon (North Carolina) and John LeBoutillier (New York) are warning troops:
As Senator McCain abandoned American POWs trapped in Indochina; as President he'll abandon you.
McCain disregarded intelligence that POWs and MIAs were still alive and calling for help in Vietnam--and became personally abusive to POW/MIA advocates on the Senate floor.
Don't reward him by making him commander-in-chief.
I've read some similar stuff. I suggest anyone interested look it up.
Apparently McCain received better treatment (including medical care by Soviet physicians), b/c he was an Admiral's son. He tried to block the early POW/MIA stuff b/c he didn't want Hanoi to release the records that showed this, thus damaging his war story credentials.
There's a good interview with his former Congressional colleague (and fellow POW) about this online. watch?v=f-w1_nliQqs
hey thats not the complete truth. when he was first shot down he was in pretty bad condition. for 5 days, his captors did not provide medical care for him f.y.i. he had two broken legs a broken arm and clavicle. when they realized who his father was they provided medical care for the sole reason of using him as a anti war propaganda. see some of the videos of him in the hospital(it might be in youtube somewhere)
when he refused they beat and tortured him. read about the guard and mccains torture
I haven't read his books to check his story against the Vietnam Vets Against McCain, but from what I gather he did receive good medical treatment, and went on to make propaganda tapes for the N. Vietnamese - not a big deal in my book. After torture, you'll do what you must, just words. VVAM assert that he gave military info also though.
Their real beef with him was that he obstructed the 80s POW/MIA hearings to conceal unflattering Hanoi records about his imprisonment. They are the same people were the Swiftboat Vets. So obviously its no politician partisanship, they have a genuine bone to pick, the question is whether their arguments are legitimate.
What is the story about the guard and torture you referred to?
there is a video with mccain in it saying how much he wants to go home but there is about all he said. they also tried to make propaganda video out of him ( but he is a POW so they wont listen anyway) so they beat and tortured him. they again asked him if he would like to leave. again he refused because of some handbook in the army that says pow captured first leaves first. so they tortured him some more this is where the guard comes in.
!@#$ you tube posting!. i got information from neutral bibliography video(saw one for obama too). to clarify Mccain bombed viet. so when he was shot down he was beaten on top of the injury he got from crashing. after 5 days they realized he was the son of 4 star admiral. offered to release him to humiliate armed services( i have connection i get better treatment)
he refused so they tortured him i.e. water dunking, painful rope wraps etc. this is where the guard comes in( type in google "McCain and the Christian Guard")
Yeah, I've read that basic story. I looked on FactCheck /dot\ Org, but they haven't done an analysis of McCain's story. They did clear up the 5 planes misinformation.
I might have gotten some sketchy info, but what I'd seen was that McCain made videos for the NV, and I think that soldier in the South saw them on propaganda broadcasts. FactCheck did cover the Christian Guard story.
All speculation and potentially nasty smears aside, I did hear one good argument against McCain's POW stuff
(cont'd) And that's that if he'd come home early, he'd have never had a career in the Navy or public office, and that it would shame his Navy "royalty" (can't think of a better word) family.
Also, that Vietnamese citizens swam out and saved him under fire, & they're upset he doesn't mention that.
Whether its all completely true or has been exaggerated by the media or himself, its a great story. It alone doesn't tell me he'd be a wise capable President though.
i think " tradition" would have been a better word then "royalty". but if mccain was released early it would have demoralized other pows because they were technically nobodies to the nva.
also the vietnamese citizen who swam out to save him probably did it so they can humiliate and beat him. it wasnt out of a goodness of thieir heart because he did bomb them(under orders of course from Washington)
Well, look the guy up. Apparently he was a regular citizen who rescued and protected him against people in the crowd. Could be whipped up by the govt, but, check it out
McCain is a War Hero! that is for certain.... but he doesn't have my vote because the McCain I knew several years ago as a Maverick no longer exists...
Being a maverick is a dumb idea.We want some who stick to what is right and if that makes him maverick or not is irrelevant. Though when libs use the word maverick(to describe McCain) it means that he is on their side(rather then meaning having independent thought).
many of the Republicans ideas are bad though torture, sleeping with the religious right, not allowing filibusters on Supreme Court decisions, no campaign finance reform.... many of these McCain once opposed and stood strong against, now not so much... he is a right wing appeaser now...
Doctorturbo- You are the Moron- It is blatantly obvious that you Hate America and anyone who defends this great country. You sir are a coward for writing such dribble...why don't you go through what John McCain did and tell me what you would write! Get the F*@k out of My Country you Liberal pile of shit!
Not sure why they would be upset, JFK had no intention of ever ending the war. He was dedicated to victory as those who knew him best have stated. You obviously are a baby from Camelot.
These are the facts about McCain's imprisonment: He signed one forced "confession" after being brutally tortured for days, and refused to sign any more. He was offered an early release that he refused out of loyalty to his fellow prisoners. This decision led to five more years of imprisonment and torture that has left McCain permanently injured.
I have nothing but respect for anyone who would sacrifice so much through loyalty and duty for his fellow man. Sounds like a hero to me.
His injuries left him permanently incapable of raising his arms above his head. He subsequently received two to three beatings per week because of his continued refusal to sign additional statements. Other American POWs were similarly tortured and maltreated in order to extract "confessions" and propaganda statements. Altogether, McCain was held as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam for five and a half years. He was finally released from captivity on March 14, 1973.
In August 1968, a program of severe torture began on McCain. He was subjected to rope bindings and repeated beatings every two hours, at the same time as he was suffering from dysentery. After four days, McCain made an anti-American propaganda "confession". He has always felt that his statement was dishonorable, but as he would later write, "I had learned what we all learned over there: Every man has his breaking point. I had reached mine."
The following is taken from the John McCain Wikipedia page:
In mid--1968, McCain's father was named commander of all U.S. forces in the Vietnam theater, and McCain was offered early release. The North Vietnamese made the offer to show other POWs that elites like McCain were willing to be treated preferentially. McCain turned down the offer of repatriation; he would only accept the offer if every man taken in before him was released as well.
You gotta be kidding me making reference to wikipedia as a reliable source. You obviously don't know how it works. Why don't you go to wikipedia to find out? lol
So, there are many bad people in the world, must we attack their countries too Kim Jung is bad lets go fight N. Korea, Putin seems pretty bad having his critics poisoned and invading Georgia lets fight Russia, Chavez seems kinda bad lets invade Venezuela... seems the only Moron is you.
