Yea its a good car I have a 2007 sx4 sport 2.0 l awd a/t I bought it in jan of 2011 with 20000 on it for 10000 I drove it to Nebraska from cali and went out in the desert with it best car I ever had its got 40000 mi on it now and had no problems yet best awd for the price need a little better ground clearance but they sell a 2 in lift kit for $200 hope they come out with a turbo kit for the automatic model

This car might not be a rock climber, but it does have a very good light off road performance. No body said this car is suposed to be a Vitara or Jimny replacement, this car has the Suzuki well known off road reputation and DNA, but it is good for people traveling on bad roads, snow, some mud (not deep), creek crossing or low level rivers areas crossing. It does have a good ground clearence. Great car!

Looking for a rock climber , a"river swimmer" and mud digger?, get a Vitara or Jimny.

Remove the sway bars and mount off road tires and I bet this car would be a hell of a lot of fun on twisty muddy roads or loose gravel! Of course, a turbo would be great also :)

Very poised off road. Impressive. Makes me want one even more. Though, I'd always go for the petrol (despite the nagging voice in my head telling me about low down torque).

first off, i understand how much fun it can be to take a small vehicle off road (some friends and i made a rally course for beater civics, it was hilarious....) but that thing wasn't "poised" it just has tight suspension, which isn't good for off roading, and it really isn't made for doing that sort of thing. If you like driving in places like that, you'd be much better off with something w/ more ground clearance and torque. It looks sweet though. and I love the WRC version.

'tight' suspension isn't too important for soft-roaders, as long as you have an effective AWD system. e.g. the Volvo V70XC has terrible dimensions for an off roader (large overhangs, large wheelbase and fairly low ground clearance). But, with a bit of underbody protection, it can go much further than a RAV4, for example.

The turbo should be available at your dealer now...around $7000 with install. I am excited to get one!
