  • Rather go for whey protein isolate I'm 18 it's been 8 months now..since i started working out..I didn't take any supplements just maintained normal diet..just ate less in lunch..also avoided some of junk food.. Arm size from 12 to 16 8 months yea :D go for pure muscle no supplement..go for supplement if you're in a hurry and want hanging skin after you enter your 40's :D..regards

  • @Theguywhosavailable Who said anything about muscle? Creatine doesn't build muscle, protein is the only thing that can build muscle besides anabolic steroids. Creatine is just for a better workout and focus during the workout letting you be able to push out the last 2-3 reps that matter most. It helps with other things than that, but doesnt build muscle, people think creatine is some magic powder, well it's not. It does draw water to the muscles and that allows you to lift more and build muscle.

  • Not even close to 36 lbs of lean muscle, most of that is water, you mybe gained 2-3 kgs of lean muscle.

  • Well in 1 year you can get about 3 kg's of lean quality muscle, everything else is mostly water and fat but it depends if your metabolism speed (slower=more fat, faster=less fat). If you check the worlds best bodybuilders, they're all around 35-45 years old so they train around 25-30 years to get to the final 120kg of lean muscle with less than 5% body fat. If lets say josh will stop visiting the gym for a yeard he would probably lose everything he made, that is one of the identicators.

  • But if a bodybuilder will stop visiting the gym for a year he will be a little bit out of the shape and will get on fat but he wont lose much on his weight (depends on the metabolism speed), he will lose some water inside his body but when he gets that back in he will be probably near the top form he was. But believe me this is 90% of water that pumped him and he looks like rambo. Im at the same stage as he is but i wont stop working out until i reach around 95 kg of lean muscle. Takes time

  • that's actually incorrect. with a flawless diet the body can gain 1lb of muscle a week or 4lb of muscle a month or 1.81kg of muscle a month.

    3kg is only 6.61lbs

  • You'll have more muscle definition if you gained muscle mass. Creatine will poof your muscles out, the best way to describe it is imagine you have a lot of muscle on say your arm, now put a little fat ontop of that muscle. That's how you know if it's water weight or muscle weight. What creatine primarily does is help assimilate nutrients better and also helps with recover between sets (ATP production), so if you go off creatine, it won't actually make you lose your gains.

  • Yes, absolute minimum effect. What I do to cut and keep/gain muscle mass is eat vegetables, fruits, boiled eggs, fish, chicken, nuts and

    Drink: Water(3ltrs/day), low fat milk. and exercise 3 times a week, each time with 30-60 minutes cardio. It's a slow but healthy way to do it, without pumping your body with fake shit.

  • Okay I don't want to argue with people who are against creatine, but creatine is a natural substance that occurs in human beings that is used to build muscle. Normal, natural ways of getting it into a human's body is through eating meat. This is why vegetarians are low in creatine and subsequently lower in muscle mass, than those who aren't. But these vegetarians can use creatine supplements to make up for the lack in their systems.

  • im taking cytogainer by cytosport, which is the company that makes muscle milk. Creatine is a safe and effective supplement, do research before making such assumptions, or before regurgitating false information.

  • Even after research, I don't fully trust creatine, especially for teens like you and me. There just aren't enough studies of its effects to determine whether or not it's safe. So personally, I choose not to use it, but your choice is your choice and whatever conclusions you reached based on your research are just as valid as my conclusions.

  • @viper909909 i took creatine when i was 15 and it was fine. im 21 now and needless to say i stopped working out for a while and drank alot of beer. but when i waa 17 after 2 years of working out and using creatine i was ripped and i could bench 285. I was in REALLY good shape. i was also 6' 1" 198lbs with 9% body fat. Since i stopped working out i gained about 60lbs due to poor diet and im 6' 3" now. Im trying to get back inthe shape i use to be, and i think ill be using creatine

  • 5'8 is actually a little short at least for a male in the USA. The average height is now closer to 5'10. I am 5'8.5 and consider myself very short compared to allot of the people out there. I did lift weights at 11 yrs of age & there is a corelation with heavy lifting in preteens & reduced height. If the growth plates are damaged from stress(hard manual labor, stress from sports like gymnastics or lifting excessive weights) the growth plates will fuse prematurly and limbs will not grow longer.

  • This condition is only in cases were preteen or early teen injures the growth plates from EXCESSIVE lifting, poor nutrition & no medical exams. The growth plate is the weakest part of the bone & majority of all fractures occur in this location for youngteens Minor stress fractures are harder to observe & may think they are growth pains or chin splints. Moderate excersise or lifting does not harm growth. growth plates are on both ends of the long bones arms/legs. once fused bones grow only wider.
