hi. i am proud to say that i am a close relative of the late elmo redrico.he is my dad's brother and we didn't get the chance to watch this due to the sudden incident. anyways, it was nice to know you posted this trailer. we really miss him
hi. thanks for your comment. we did attempt to screen the film during ka elmo's wake - i think it was a special tribute - but they didn't show the whole thing because it made a people sadder. if you still want to see the film, it will have a special screening at the Cinemalaya Festival this July 18, Friday, 12:45 pm, CCP Silangan Hall.
we also miss him a lot. especially during festivals since he's one of the great supporters of independent films.
yeah. i was there at the wake. our family try not to play the film since our lola might get a heart attack after watching the film although our family was proud to see even the trailer. thanks for the information. i'll try to inform our other relatives about it. thanks
tnc for ur reply... surely, would watch your film. will bring friends also... anyway, yeah, you are right that many are making anti-drug/anti-HIV scripts. but, for me, may mas magandang tema na pwedeng gawin na mas may impact... like, ang mga pagdurusa ng mga HIV/AIDS patients in san lazaro... gustong gusto ko kasi ang mga kuwento ng mga pasyente doon. hindi para pag-usapan lang sila kung hindi para maging inspirasyon at aral sila sa iba. how about talking about this over a cup of coffee minsan?
maganda yan! have you tried writing about it? if not, maybe you should. mahirap na tema ang HIV/AIDS lalo na't may pagka-backward pa ang pag-iisip ng mga pinoy. pero dapat nga may gumawa ng pelikula o magsulat ukol dito.:)
salamat! gusto kong sabihing maganda siya, but it's not going to be a credible opinion since i'm the filmmaker. hehe.
i'm not a prolific writer, i wish i was. i don't really know if i write well. i actually think it's my weakest skill. but i don't think i can make films if i'm not the writer. and i can't write for anyone either. because what i lack in writing, i make up in filmmaking. i'm not good at expressing in words, so i really need the film visual to get my message across.
nope, i haven't done an anti-drug or anti-HIV script. marami na kasing nagawa na ganun, so if im going to write/make a film about it, i have to say something new. and so far (since wala pa akong "major" experience about this topic, di pa ko makapagsulat about it. all my films need to be personal kase. because that's the best way i can communicate.:)
Wow! Ate Roence is in this film. One thing is for sure, she is one great actress.
