She said it wasn't meant for blacks because their hair is more course and tougher to penetrate then white people which is why they use thio and hydroxide relaxers this stuff isn't as strong so you wouldn't get as uniform of a result if you did this on them
This is very surprising. I am half black and hispanic and have been getting the CHI straightening for about 5 years now and I love it. I feel like it has actually helped my hair grow better as well.
The reason she said it wasn't for blacks is their hair is more course and harder to penetrate which is why they use thio and hydroxide relaxers this isn't as strong as they are so it wouldn't work as well as they do and as for y the scientists don't find a way to fix the hair is because it is the way the follicle is under the skin one for each strand of hair and because of how many of them you have on you head there isn't too much you can do
The reason y she said that it isn't for blacks is their hair is more couse and tougher to penetrate that's why they use the thio and hydroxide relaxers this isn't as strong as they are so it won't work like they will and as for y the hair is curly it is the follicle under the skin there isn't really anything you can do to change that
Dont do it at home. I did, Guess what? My hair fell out, i read the directions and i had bad hair damage. It took me a year and half to get to where it used to be. Save up,have someone experienced to do it. there's a reason why there are warning labels inside the product. I thought i was 'saving' money by doing it myself, but I could've saved myself the trouble to have someone to do it right the first time around.
scientists need to look into a way to modify the hair follicles permanently, so that they GROW straight hair. i mean, what exactly is it that makes it grow curly rather than straight? having that knowledge, couldn't they easily find a way to correct it? hell, there's laser eye correction, so it's not that far-fetched.
I think she should have said very curly hair. I don't think you would want to have this done if you are black because you would need touch ups too much, as soon you your curly roots start to grow in. Who the hell wants to spend that much every 3-4 months.
I don't understand why it was said good for all hair typed except african american hair. Hair is hair regardless of race, creed etc. Hair is a keratin protein. I met an african american woman who works for Chi and her hair looks great.
not for African american hair, eh. well...

It costs 260 euros in the netherlands. I'm thinking about getting it done at the end of this year.

Do it at home. Buy the kit and read the instructions, what you don't get, look it up. Will save you some money and earns you extra knowledge.

The curlier the hair the flatter the strand. Not the other way around. How can you trust someone with your hair if they don't even know that much?
