  • i love amy. you all can pack sand if you choose to judge her.

  • John 8:7 “Jesus said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first to cast a stone at her” Amy is a true Christian and guess what folks, she's human with sins.. Why must all judge her when they don't live her life? We're to love and not judge or hate as true believing Christians! She's had her up and downs in life just as many of us have! I've seen her in concert over 20+ times&she prayed with me after each one which took hours.. God is LOVE... I for one still respects&love her!

  • @LaLadyDJ Very Well Said !! Thank You. It Amaze's me how many so called Christians Fail, not only to see the Truth but lack Very Basic Common Sense.

  • And when both marriages were done, Amy and Vince got together. Now, I sincerely hope this is not true but I feel it is. It seems so obivous.

  • @froggirl80 she divorced gary because he abused her and her children as well as drugs. She did not have an affair.

  • I have always loved Amy Grant and have been a fan for years! But, I'm sorry, I really feel and have felt this for years, that she left Gary Chapman for Vince Gill. 1. Vince & Amy were friends for years. 2. They started dating as soon as she announce her spilt from Gary 3. Amy wasn't even divorce for a year when she married Vince Gill. 4. Also, I read an article that Vince's ex-wife found a note that said, "I love you, Amy." I believe they had a "mental affair"

  • Christians are WAY OFF. We all go through things in life and Amy is no exception. This is why organized religion doesn't work. It doesn't give a person room to grow as an individual. God is not panicking about our choice because its free will. God allows us to get a perspective, recover from out mistakes and keep moving.

  • No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.... Judge not lest you be judged. Walk a mile in someone else's shoes .... Oh wait, Jesus did, and He is the only one who has the qualifications to judge us all accordingly. No one is with out sin, he is without sin cast the first stone...He is the Great Redeemer and Restorer.

  • She is obviously trying to "conjure up" public sympathy to ease a guilty conscience..

  • She is sorry for the divorce but the word is clear about it.

  • She makes her adultery sound like something that "just happened" to her. Everyone in the music industry knows the flip side of this story. It really screwed her up making her "a star" at such a young age. It eventually played a role in 2 families being split up.

  • I think that sometimes we christians are very guilty of 'idolising' other christians, especially sometimes those in the public eye!! I think if we just treated them as normal, fallible human beings like the rest of us and respected the hard work they do, we wouldn't gang up on them and beat the crap out of them when we notice they're just human after all!

God doesn't make them perfect and then give them a job to do...He usually just uses us as we are, warts and all......

  • Please go away Amy and, stop embarrassing us all!

  • When Jesus forgives, we are not to go out and keep on sinning, and not admit that we did wrong. Amy and Vince haven't admitted they did anything wrong. Didn't she admit that she gave her heart to him long before the divorce. And irreconciable differences are not biblical grounds for divorce. My husband went through the same with his first wife. It is devastating to the spouse that is left and life long damaging to the children. And in my opinion it is extremely selfish.

  • oh bullshit. So your supposed to stay miserable in a marriage? right? No I don't think so. Her ex husband had a cocaine problem did you know that? and her kids love vince, and vicne loves her kids, My parenets were divorced right around teh time amy got divorced, and I remember wanting that divorce to happen, because My mother was NOT happy at all. and my dad had a drug problem, if she would have stayed in the marriage my mother brother and I would have been miserable. All our lives beniffited.

  • Pam, Amy was a Christian leader on a national scale but, more importantly a Christian. I don't know anything about you but, we as Christians are held to a different standard then the world! The Bible is our guide, Not just a "good book" so , with that being said she is living in sin to this very moment!

  • No your not..lol. That is the problem with Christians today, you think you are better than everyone else, and that isn't true, You think God only loves only you, and that also isn't true. I think you need to re-evaluate things. What makes you so much better than a woman who takes her clothes off to feed her family? What makes you better than the begger in the street? What makes you better than the man in the corporate office? What makes you better? NOTHING.

  • Pam4Rob: Thank you for your honest and truthful comments. More people need to hear from people like you. God bless you all, and Amy most of all.

  • God bless you and your family as well. thank you for commenting on my comment :o)

  • I agree I wish there were more people in the world like Amy Grant who spread word of love and joy and family, and compassion, not hate, and judgement, we see that all the time, all we have to do is turn on the news to see that, But it is refreshing to put on an Amy Grant Album and know that when your listening to her music it takes you away from all that if just for a little while.

  • ChompGa, The Word says you will be judged as you have judged others. You are entitled to the way you feel, just be prepared for the same treatment for your own sins as you condemn others for theirs. Jesus was about grace. You are correct that Jesus said "Go and sin no more." But the first thing he did was offer grace to the woman who was caught in the act of adultery. Grace is always FIRST.

  • She is not even allowed to stay in church while she is in this sinful relationship ! Learn the Bible shaun!

  • Great interview. Thanks for the video. When ever I hear people such as ChompGa with there negativity and meanness I think of Christ on the cross saying "Father forgive then for they know what they do" or in his case what the say. There are a lot of people with hateful hearts and we just have to pray for them.

  • Thanks for the Bible lesson Shaun Schipper lets all sit and learn at the feet of shaun Schipper! Jesus called people to repentance if you don't know what that mean it means to turn away from! Jesus also said "Go and sin no more" amy is living in sin every day of her life , while she is "married" to Vince!

  • how is she sinning? SHe is married.

  • Amy shut up and go away you disgust me!

  • To the person who called Amy all those names...you are NOT a Christian! We are all sinners and it's only by grace are we saved through faith. Jesus forgives and heals. God help you! The BIBLE says, "Judge not least yeah be judged" Jesus would have never talkled about Amy in this manner.

  • @airraideagle Well your hatred and filthy name calling of Amy....reveals you to be what? A loving Christian? You need to look at your own attitudes. Maybe Amy Grant was in a very destructive relationship, she perhaps should have just seperated and NOT married again....but who knows what her marriage to Gary Chapman ws like. Maybe he was verbally and emotionally abusive. Perhaps it is better to get out of such a marriage which is harmful for oneself and ones children. stop filthy talk.
