I didn't like the movie as much as I could have because I didn't sympathize w the main (male) character. Nothing is more irritating than a guy who you keep telling you like as a friend and he keeps insisting he loves you. Either you love someone or u don't and she didn't (love him). Regardless of Imaan, she thought of him as a friend (n yes, I didn't really understand how she decided to go for him when she thought Imaan wasn't going to come). This movie is not in sync w today's age n thinking

everyone seems to think this movie has a sad ending, but they don't seem to get that just because ranbir was the main "star" of the film and he didn't get sakina, that doesn't make it a sad ending. it was a happy ending for sakina and imaan, and for some reason people don't seem to get that.

Sakina is a Bimbo..Raj is a gem..he would have kept her very happy and she could have lived near her grandma too. But she went off with that Imaan whose job, she has no idea about. What I don't understand is...didn't sakina's aunt basically verify sakina was a lil of the rocker?! The aunt said that fir sakina's sake she had seen imaan. Does anyone kno what am getting at?

@yofat her aunt didn't see him but she can tell that sakina was falling head over heels for someone that might not come back. But no one knew he was going to come back so they all thought she was going crazy. But the aunt had to lie to sakina so she can have that smile on her face again and also move on with life. yeah even though she was smiling a lot with raj but behind that smile she thought she was inlove with him but it was only that she liked him.
