The fact of the matter is that in order for so many priests to get away with sexual abuse there had to be an overall culture of abuse and apathy. None of the clergymen reported the abusive priests; none of them tried to stop it. The people who didn't actively rape children still allowed it to continue and protected the offenders from harm.

I also agree that some of these people who cry abuse are gold diggers. As a faithful follower of the "zombie death cult" which I assume means the Catholic Church, I agree with BIll. What happened in these Irish schools is no different than what happened in hundreds of other schools - public and private- throughout the world and still happens today.
