If your parents were not both drug addicts like mine when you were young and kept you from a decent home life as a child therefore allowing you to establish an educational base in your formative years I suggest you go and bow to your parents and thank them both for not being fuck ups. This stuff makes me want to jump off a balcony, very saddened.
@MrCapeVerde sorry for a fucked up upbringing - i knew more than a couple people with shit for parents who turned out ok though, but things were much harder for them for sure. hope you hang in there.
@patrickJMT The amount of work required to pass intermediate algebra in college is mind boggling! Yeah I know, you took it in like the first grade right? It brings tears to my eyes. Four credits of hell.
@MrCapeVerde the amount of work to understand intermediate algebra is rewarding. i had to take it a couple of times to let the material sink in. i'm glad that i did, because it built a strong foundation when i took calculus. once the math clicks in your head, you'll enjoy the material a lot more. that goes to any subject once you understand it. and i agree, it takes a lot of time, but it's worth the "eureka!" moment. :)
Could you multiply the 6x by the ln2? Because in the video you kept the x's seperate from the ln so I'm just wondering if there was a number before the x, if you can then multiply it by ln or keep it seperate.?
thanks buddy this realy helps even though i have no idea what a log realy is at least i know how to navigate around these kind of equations now. cheers =)
aww dayumm i was trying so hard too look at all my notes and math books and pick up some kind of idea of how to do this one problem. i watch this video and i can do the problem right away. THANKYOU!
For saving my grade in AP Calculus, I give you a sub and a like for the video. Thank you for helping me from getting my head ripped off by my Korean mother.
your method of teaching is fantastac and with patient, The only thing i suggest you please don't skip some step during writing because in this lesson i followed log and exponential very well but unfortunitly I was lost near to the end where you skiped 14 to divid etc without mentioning. for new learner it is hard to understand unless to see everything step by step. After all appreciat your hard work. In deed your help in website is a charity for those who wants to learn
Thanks for the video, though. Very helpful!

The first equation helped me with a math problem I was doing, but the other two don't. :/
MisterBaseball200 4 days ago
Apologies if this was already asked, but in the last problem, last step, you had:
x = ln(6) / [ln(4/5) + ln(6)]
wouldn't the two (ln6)s cancel? leaving x = 1/ln(4/5)?
Also, thanks for posting all these videos, they're definitely helping even though I still get confused occasionally.

for the 3rd problem, does it matter if you use log instead of ln?

@bryfryable didnt rewatch but my guess is: no

@bryfryable yes, you could use a common log also
