anybody knows how dio does the downward air dash with carl? at 3:29 mark

He kara-cancelled an airdash j.2C with a throw (aka he air-dashed, did a j.2C and cancelled it with a throw)

so i first jump and do Down C which is that move Carl drops with a spear straight down, then press the Throw buttons (B+C)? how do u even do the kara cancel, ive seen the dvd and some other videos but i dont think i can do it at all, is it like you press the grab button (B+C) after pressing a button, but before it finishes ? can u please help i really wanna do this downward air dash move cuz i main carl

kara cancelling is cancelling a move within the first two frames of activation (1/30 of a second) with another move.

okay here's step by step:

1) jump

2) airdash

3) during the airdash (while you're still moving forward) do a down C

4) immediately (within 2 frames) input a throw (B+C)

Basically the throw cancels out the jumping down C, but you still get the moment change from the down C. That's why you go diagonally down when you do it.

well ive been trying to do that cuz thats how i thought its supposed to be done but its not doing it, even when my BC button is on the botton right next to the triangle button with is C
