Calibration of the Saeco Royal Cappuccino

We have a Saeco Royal Coffee bar, which is comparable to this machine. I am struggling to make the coffee stronger and tried different espresso beans. I have set the coffee amount to maximum (9 gr.) and the grinder setting to 4. It is still not to my liking. The only thing I can think of is to reduce the amount of water that is being dispenced per cup, but I have no idea how. Do you have any tips? Thanks and all the best from Canada
