Bothers me when a bassist plays like a guitarist. Not saying he does that the whole time, but all too often bass solos come off sounding like an interpretation of a guitar solo. He needs to keep it funky and get the spaceship moving. Funkin' a.

Hah , 6 string bass tuning is both BEADGBE or EADGBEC. Both are as common.

actually not its tuned BEADGB and a guitar is EADGBE and the octaves are diff, stiring spacing,

yeah i realise that, but question : how it that the fifth string on a guitar,right below the G string is a B, but on bass its C, im not that good with like theory, but i can understand it. thnkxs mate

I might be wrong but it might be based on the E Ionian scale. I really don't know much theory either. I think of the Ionian scale like the O+ of blood, universal and easier to not get locked into one particular key. I just play and if it sounds good I'm good with it lol.

Yeah I didn't mean to be a dick, I mean to put a smiley face but oh well lol. I'm actually playing a 6 string for the first time recently and it's not bad at all. Very versatile.
