It's about life not about knitting though. The long scarf refers to people’s captures, the things you have been achieving for whole life like successful business, investment, money, high position, the endless expectation for people around you. etc. Life stage is steep and can be dangerous if we don’t know when to stop. We always want more and so keep going. We know where to start but sometimes have no idea where to stop. The scissors cut the fatal situation and allow the lady a new fresh life.

this honestly made me cry when i first watched it, because i identify with it on a much deeper level than simply knitting. as someone who suffers from an ED, i know the feeling of not being in control. when she reaches for the scissors and grabs the yarn instead, it tugged at my heart because i've been there so many times with my ED-- you want to stop but can't. i think anyone who has suffered from an addiction could relate, and i absolutely adore this for it's simple complexity.

Knitting is a drug and I am an obsessive user of knitting. I love all my needles as if they were the most precious thing on earth and my yarn stash just keeps growing. I think I have more yarn now than I will ever be able to use before I die. But that is okay, I can pass it along to a worthy knitting addict when I pass. LOL. I love the video.

@alexzandra75 Yes. So true. When I first saw this video, I thought it was dumb. I thought, "Knitting is a great thing to do." But that was before I started knitting. I love knitting. If I have to wash clothes, clean the house, make dinner, etc and I'm knitting, I will put it off and keep knitting. :P Even when I have a slight case of carpel tunnel syndrome, which comes back now and then, due to heavy knitting. :P But I still think it's agreat thing. I saw a short animated film when I was young about a man who is eating a boiled egg. He hits the egg with his spoon and hears someone asking who it is. He eventually smashes the egg and hears screams. He then hears a knock on the door and asks who it is. His house ends up being crushed on top of him. Very Twilight Zone. Can anyone tell me the name of it or the animators. It's driving crazy. No one seems to know what I'm talking about. It was the 70's or early 80's BTW. Probably 70's.

I studied textiles at Uni and specilised in Knit. This is a fantastic example of how crazy it can make you feel! Counting rows in your sleep and waking up in the middle of the night with the nightmare that the knitting has fallen off! Great video, love it!
