There are times the musical director would require an artist to just lipsynch the song (for sound quality) when a performance is gonna be done outdoor such as this video show where audio equipment would be impossible to be installed like this one in a parade setting. after reading about performances on parade, most of the time it is lip sync. i also listened many times to this and i think charice did a lip sync. although she might really be singing with only mic off so it still looks like a real singing. sorry, i just uploaded the video in a rush as requested by other chasters who missed watching it. so i hope that clears it out.

@capofret23 it might be, she had to lip-synched because the place was too much of an open area. lip-synchronization is sometimes done when the singer is singing in front of huge crowd in an open area/stadium with poor sound retention. but that doesn't make any singer less of a performer (unless the singer does it ALL the time). charice is a good, capable singer, lip-synching or not.

She was lipsyncing ( she was still amazing though). She said her throat was soar and didn't want to damage her vocals. She drank tea through the whole rehersal. I was there for the rehersal because I was one of the dancers in the parade.

I think this is lip sync because I don't hear any background noise. If you saw her sing during the Macy's Parade last year alongside David A and Miley, you would hear background noise on her singing part and not on both David and Miley which I would conclude that Charice sang it live but not DA and Miley. Anyway, lip syncing is not an issue here. I'm sure the production staff wanted it that way because of circumstances and not coz' Cha doesn't want to sing live. We already know her capabilities

her full outfit shown at (0:25-0:28 is actually pretty cute. But I believe it would have worked well if she worn her hair simply sleek straight parted sideways. Her curly hair, parted in the middle doesnt do justice to her round face and it just doesnt go well with her outfit... but still she's amazing. :)

Her curly hair here just didnt work so well with the whole attire, and parting it in the middle does not give justice to her round face. .. OVERALL she's is still amazing.

after reading about performances on parade, most of the time it is lip sync. i also listened many times to this and i think charice did a lip sync. although she might really be singing with only mic off so it still looks like a real singing. sorry, i just uploaded the video in a rush as requested by other chasters who missed watching it. so i hope that clears it out.

@capofret23 it might be, she had to lip-synched because the place was too much of an open area. lip-synchronization is sometimes done when the singer is singing in front of huge crowd in an open area/stadium with poor sound retention. but that doesn't make any singer less of a performer (unless the singer does it ALL the time). charice is a good, capable singer, lip-synching or not.

She was lipsyncing ( she was still amazing though). She said her throat was soar and didn't want to damage her vocals. She drank tea through the whole rehersal. I was there for the rehersal because I was one of the dancers in the parade.

As for the people complaining about her way to dress herself up... It's "Cherry Blossom Festival", Japanese cherry tree flowers are pink in color so this is why she's wearing a pastel pink jacket and the black pants help the pink to stand out. It's like for people to wear green for St Patrick's day. This is not a fashion show it's a festival for all I know, it's a family event, so it's casual. And she was right on the spirit of the day. Think and get your facts straight before you speak. She's definitely not lip syncing, can't you hear that at some part she sings it differently? @begoodenblues with regard to the different lyrics, thats because she sang the original version of pyramid w/o the duet.. the version that was supposed to be sang by Charice on skate for the heart but WB decided to make it a duet that is why she didnt sing it on skate for the heart.. she also sang that part on a local radio in the Philippines.. so lip sync or not.. she could do it anyway

I think this is lip sync because I don't hear any background noise. If you saw her sing during the Macy's Parade last year alongside David A and Miley, you would hear background noise on her singing part and not on both David and Miley which I would conclude that Charice sang it live but not DA and Miley. Anyway, lip syncing is not an issue here. I'm sure the production staff wanted it that way because of circumstances and not coz' Cha doesn't want to sing live. We already know her capabilities

Wahington DC is one of the best and beautiful places I visited...the seat of the the United States government. and Charice is sooooooooo blessed to perform there, in fact this is her 2nd visit to perform there, early last year during the presidential inauguration and the Cherry Blossom parade today.
