Baldwin is the only candidate who has promised to free wrongly imprisoned border agents Ramos & Compean if elected. It appears neither McCain or Obama are concerned about justice.
The same spirit that i feel in the Core of my being that identifies me as this grand unique Participant in this Beloved experiment and experience we all share together, as being an AMERICAN, Is the very same spirit that compels me to Reward this Noble Man for his efforts with regard to putting it all on the Line, and taking the slings and arrows to Restore my Constitution and to protect my god given Liberties and freedoms , granted to me by that very same Constitution .
Vote Alan Keyes. He's profixing the damage that america has caused in Iraq and he's a little more prolife. Plus Baldwin didn't specifically say he was against Marijuanna, but only regarded it as a states issue. Over than that though, Baldwin is pretty cool.
Alan Keyes and Baldwin are BOTH part of the solution, either man is obviously a much superior choice to either Fraud now running as Dem or Repub.
both Men are true honest, independent freedom loving constitutional conservatives ! Both Men are brilliant thinkers would return this country back to its former pride and glory and put the power back into the hands of the People !
you sound like an ignorant who makes random assumptions. perhasa an attempt to merely slander. or are you 12 years old and saying what your daddy told you?
not everyone is the same. you are obviously very sheltered from differing views and perspectives. try to think outside of your bias and show that you have a brain and don't label large groups of people as being of identical beliefs.
peopleasylum, you are severely brainwashed and close-minded as evidenced by all your blather on this board. So you hate your self. That's unfortunate. I hope you will open your eyes and see the world is not as black and white as you pretend it to be.
lemme make a wild guess that you are voting for obama?
Home Schoolers Rock. I am a little jealous of home schoolers. Home schooling must never be taken away from the people of the united States of America.
Or I could scream the N word cuz that is what LIBERALISM is all about....get over this RACE CARD that you keep playing...how is Chuck Baldwin RACIST? HOW? Because he's a white preacher from the south? Because the man has integrity and morals..Typical LIBERAL, no justification for anything, just throw the race card out there...everyone is a BIGOT OR HATE MONGER OR RACIST!
Soo what, Baldwin is a racist but somehow I'm to blame?!! Is that what you are bitchin' about!?
He has as much integrity as the KKK, which to be honest I actually have more respect for them in a way. I mean there evil is plain to see, but at least they don't stand there with a smile on their faces trying to hide the racist & hateful ideology that they are beholden to. And they use God as an excuse, but they aren't using God as a cover, like Baldwin does!
Again you have failed to provide any reason to your claims of racisim...HOW IS CHUCK A RACIST? HOW? Just because you don't like the man or what he stands for gives you ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to call him a racist! Your whole ideology is FLAWED! I never said you were to blame for anything....but you play the race card BASED ON NOTHING! You throw the word racist around sooo much it has no meaning anymore..Stop it! It's patheic..Using God as a cover? OK, REV. WRIGHT!!! You got me on that one!
the zionists/jew-scum brought the church to europa, not the "nazis" you effing retard.
mr nazi hitler himself was against the church. the bolshevik jews created the term, "nazi" to deflect criticism off of their terroristic takeover of russia. furthermore it is the jews who run all aspects of american media, hollywood and the banks today. the imf, world bank, fed reserve, etc etc.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Ahh, an anti-semite too!? I know that Chuck Baldwin is a racist, but I haven't seen anything about his anti-semitism and you certainly wouldn't support this fucking douche unless he was one, right?
I suggest that you cut off and/or out your sexual organs so that you can never damn dare pollute this world with your seed.
please consider the danger of allowing the republican or democrat parties controlling this country sink in before voting. We are on the edge of irreversible harm. Research Hurricane Katrina as an example, you will be dragged from your home.
I wish I, and the majority, were voting for Ron Paul, unfortunately, that doesn't seem possible at this time, therefore, I will find the next best thing, which appears to be Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party candidate.
i disagree completely. they are absolutely about the bill of rights and liberty. the jesus stuff is annoying but people DO have a right to religion here, technicaly.
because he is a REAL republican not any independent and also because the indy party already chose nader so it was too late to change parties.
furthermore nader won't even be in the debates because the league of women voters aren't allowed to hold them anymore. a govt. group does the debates now. it's a sham essentially.
I am a believer but I don't mix politics and religion. I think what your problem is that you have a hattred for people of any faith. You have every right to have your own opinion and your own beliefs but it would be in your best intrest not to be so disrespectful of other peoples positions. It will make your life a lot easier.
I have researched the Constitution Party and Chuck Baldwin and I can say that I support every single position and I will be voting for Baldwin in November.
How is the Constitution Party a "Jesus Christ Party"? Yes it is anti-abortion but why would you think that it's anti-gay? The Constitution Party does not believe in regulating a persons sexual preference. It sounds to me like you need to do some hard research rather than going on hear-say.
Your comments don't make any sense at all. Why don't you leave these comments up to people that can have a respectful and intelligent conversation over political agreements and disagreements.
Also, notice how all the republican christian conservatives are war hungry. They love war, they love controversy, they love degrading other people and other religions as if they knew what they were talking about. Didn't Jesus teach you to FORGIVE? WHO WOULD JESUS BOMB YOU FUCKING HYPOCRITES?!
Since Ron Paul officially dropped out of the election, Chuck has become the best remaining choice for president. You heard it from him, even HE supports Ron Paul for president.
Hes a Proud , Honest, Principled Independent Constitutional Conservative who has Great Integrity.
Folks, this aint rocket science, if the founding Fathers were here to Observe this election who do you think theyd say is the Man who most Represents their views on what Represents the Foundation of what this country was founded on, think of it
ITS EASY, its Obviously Chuck , who else ? "osama' Obama or Mclame ? LOL
GO CHUCK , WE ARE WITH YOU AND STAND BEHIND YOU 100 PERCENT
I have been actively supporting and spreading the word about Chuck Baldwin, but the more I hear about the "illegal war" we've been in, the less I like him. Get off the war. We did not illegally invade Iraq.
DONT focus just on one issue, Understand the totality of the issues. Truth is Baldwin is a real Honest, Independent , Consistent Constitutional Conservative Patriot and Freedom Fighting hero !
He is 1 of the Best 3rd Party Candidates we've ever had the chance to support. He needs and deserves our Vote to Restore this country to its former glory and a return to Sane Principled Govt.
Dont get too focused on 1 single issue, NO ONE is perfect and never will be, but this man is Fabulous
actually we did. the president declared it, not the congress. it was an undeclared and therefore unconstitutional war. we went to war over false intel/lies and did it for the u.n.
and supports Freedom of religion or not for all. Do some research - there are several youtube clips where Baldwin adresses this issue - plus the Major issues are of greater
importance anyway - Non Intervention - No NAU
border security - sound money on and on -
Vote for principle - the issues - peace and feedom and the Constitution while we can!
My problem with Baldwin is Religion. I don't want it pushed on me. I respect others freedom to believe in what they want, but expect people to keep Religion out of Government.
check out the newest video on this same channel called "Description of a Baldwin Administration" He talks about this. People shouldn't prejudge Baldwin because he's a pastor. I mean, when it comes down to it, he's the only one that wants to do good for our country, he's how a man of his word should be. If he's the only one that is good and happens to be a preacher, that should say something in itself!
the gov't cant push religion on you...there is this thing outlined in the constitution called 'seperation of church and state'...which is supported by the constitution party as well.
Um, there's NOTHING in the Constitution about "separation of church and state". That term didn't enter our legal discourse until the 1930s, when SCOTUS Justice Hugo Black cited a private Thomas Jefferson letter out of context in an opinion paper.
The only two references to religion in the Constitution is the First Amendment "Congress shall make no law..." and "No religious test...to hold office" which is in Article IV if I recall correctly.
Unless you can see the republicans and democrats coming together to send him a bill to eliminate the separation of church and state I think it is a non issue.
Has Chuck Baldwin asked Ron Paul to run with him for the VP spot in the Constitution Party? I know Ron Paul said he wouldn't run for the office of President in a third Party, but this would be running for Vice President, hence he will keep his word! How about a new Bumper sticker ---------- We need "THE DOCTOR'S" in the White House! Ron Paul 2008
So I guess it's over. I noticed a few days ago, nobody is even looking at his YT videos. What happened to the Christians, supposed to be 80% of this country's population.
How can a Bible Thumper who is the nominee of the Jesus First Party (read the CP's platform if you don't know what I'm talking about) be a Ron Paul candidate?
Any candidate who prescribes to making a Christian philosophy the motivating factor for policy could hardly qualify as a Constitutionalist in line with the Founding Fathers (most of which were Deists who despised organized religion).
Absolutely not. One of the main purposes of the constitution was to protect, life, liberty, and property. Life, as described by science, history, our foundational law, and the Bible includes a preborn child. Eliminating abortion is not in issue of stripping a liberty by taking away a choice protected by the constitution, simply because we should never let one "choose" to kill a child.
Many abortions are done, in the very, very early stages, when the embryo is so small, no heart beat, and for this many women for hundreds of years, have had abortions. Also, what if a woman is raped (3.5% more than the EU) also, what about incest victims? Which this assbackward country it still happens????
Well, since the Constitution doesn't mention abortion.. the whole arguement is really about how much the Federal government can regulate your life. Does the general welfare clause apply in this situation? What about the tenth amendment which says all other rights are retained by the people (or the states)? If you cross a state boarder to obtain an abortion, does the interstate commerce clause apply? Does the right to life apply to a fetus? Which gets at the real question: when does life begin?
You are right. Whatever his beliefs are, fine. But if it isn't in the constitution then he shouldn't implement his religious beliefs in politics! There is a thing called separation of church and state. Also, Baldwin is affiliated with a notorious hate group called minutemen. He is soo pro-life, yet he calls innocent babies Anchor babies. What a good conservative christian... not.
I am so tired of the people voting based on abortion, I live in a small town, and many "church goers" shout to vote based on this. Bush sat on his platform nearly 8 years ago, and so many idiots voted for him, simply based on this. When will people learn? He said he would not police the world, and here he has started an illegal war!!! So frustrating. People, apparently do not think beyond their simpleton views..
The separation of church and state is a legal and political principle derived from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, which reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ."
it says Congress shall make no law. what about a small township introducing creationism or 5 minutes of prayer into its school? the Constitution doesnt say 'small townships shall make no law. . . " Congress isnt to create nor set up a national religion and the states may do as they please.
the schools are not our government. you are taught a wide variety of things in school like the concept of religion. but being taught about religion and implementing laws from religion is totally different. Schools are not the government. Our government has the dept of education but that's just another thing they outsource.
can you show me in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, the part that states what the federal govt may do, the part about a dept of education. i seemed to have missed that part. (dept of ed is unconstitutional-here's your civics lesson for the day)
Isn't that what I said? The Dept of Education is run by our government, but it's more like an outsource. They try and control what people can or cannot learn. But like I said, people learn about different religions in school, well at least in College they do, but they don't tell you that you need to follow any religion, and they don't place laws in school saying you have to follow rules from religion. And our government shouldn't do the same.
I don't recall trying to justify anything except for the fact that religion has no place in government. whatever you believe, fine, but keep it out of our laws.
and all i was doing was refuting the myth of a separation of Church and state that you were trying to espouse. either find it in the Constitution or stop using it. it's not in there.
Read the first amendment- The separation of church and state is a LEGAL AND POLITICAL PRINCIPLE derived from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution- "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ."
marissacalderon, Then how about keep the government out of religion? The government taxes independent churches as if they are coporations. However, you have "government churches" which are under the IRS 501(C)(3) tax provision. In order to get that status the federal government has limits on what churches can preach and teach about.
I have two good quotes for you, first "Impeach Jesus!" Which means, get religion out of out government once and for all! I am tired of all these politicians running around saying "I am a christian, or blah blah". I don't give a fuck, I care about your politics, not at how big of a hypocrite you are. Notice most religious conservatives love guns? I guess Jesus would approve of THAT. Second George Carlin RIP "God is an all powerful being and he needs MONEY!" I think that is self explanatory.
The federal government is in control of our public school systems. They control what our children are taught and that is very dangerous for freedom and why our founding fathers did not want the federal government in charge of the school system. They have the ability to brainwashed our children with false economics and history as well as other subjects.
I agree with you on that 100%. They whitewash the truth about US history and things that are really going on in America, in history and today. My friend and I were saying, in Middle School they use to teach us how to balance a check book and how to pay bills. In high school they don't teach you shit because they know most of them once they turn 18 are going to get like 3 credit cards and run up more debt. Anything tied to the government is corrupt to me.
everybody with brain cells has some kind of philosophy which influences their decisions.. so what? your problem is that you just don't like this particular philosophy, and want to exclude people you don't agree with from participating in politics. that is a very arrogant and intolerant position. your anti-Christian bigotry is very offensive.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I have no problem with Bible thumping or Christianity, I have a problem when a party calls itself one thing and practices another.
We don't need religion in government, period. Government is supposed to be an objective arbiter, not a centralized Church.
What's arrogant and intolerant is your putting words in my mouth and labeling me with knee-jerk ad hominums. You Paul supporters claim to "spread the truth" then you play the very same stereotyping game you whine about IRT the MSM.
The Constitution states that there shall not be an official US Federal Church. No where does it or any supporting documents say that government, politics, or society may not be influenced by religion. The US Federal Government was never designed to be the arbiter of religion or anything like you describe. You may not agree with Dr. Baldwin's views but to say they have no place in society is arrogant and intolerant.
Deists-Derive their beliefs from the existance as I quote from the Constitution"Ultimate Creator",with that said,George Washington Farewell speech stated the following"Observe good faith and justice towards all nations;cultivate peace and harmony with all.Religion and morality enjoin this conduct.
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. All from the first President of the United States.and this was with the Seperation of Church and State.
John Adams the 2nd President of the United States was a Unitarian,in which he believed in the oneness of God.Adams was aware of (and wary of) the risks, such as persecution of minorities and the temptation to wage holy wars, that an established religion poses. Nonetheless, he believed that religion, by uniting and morally guiding the people, had a role in public life. All with the Seperation of Church and State.
Morality isn't necessarily derived from religion. Organized religion is nothing more than panhandlers claiming to have the answers to aspects of life that are yet unexplained by science. Morality is, for the most part, intuitive and whatever isn't, instilled during the growing years.
We don't need dogmas and Scripture to become an annex to the Constitution, and I certainly don't want a POTUS who seems to think he has a batphone to heaven.
The Deist typically doesn't prescribe to dogma, and they're humble enough to know that humans are incapable of communing with Deity, i.e. don't preach their sect, don't express general intolerance of other sects, and sure as heck doesn't use a Deity's name to bump their campaign.
Again, read the Constitution Party's platform on their website. If you cannot see the Bible thumping, then you're either self-deluded or having reading comprehension issues.
Your user name befits you. Your assumption about the Founding Fathers is in error. Yes there were Deists, but also Christians and Theists. Few if any of them despised organized religion. Before you make outlandish comments like this do some reading. Again, because you do not share Dr. Baldwin's views does not make you right. His views are in line with the Founding Fathers.
LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Baldwin was chosen at the end of April. June 12th is when Ron Paul announced he would not be campaigning anymore. He DID NOT officially withdraw from the race.
Between 14 and 30, depending on where you're looking. Unless something crazy happens at the convention, he cannot beat McCain to the nomination. McCain has more than the required delegate votes.
I would love to see something miraculous happen at the convention, but for now my vote belongs to the candidate who represents the message of freedom, Chuck Baldwin. It's not about Ron Paul, it's about what he stands for.
Been listening to "Dr" Steve? Who, BTW, has been convicted of multiple counts of theft and racketeering in IN via setting up fake companies to bilk the deaf.
Ron won't see 100 delegates by the end of next week (the close of the Republican convention), and that's pitiful given that there's 2380 of them to be had.
don't wet your diaper. baldwin will not run against ron paul if he should somehow get the nomination of the republican party. nobody else has made any such pledge. if you are actually a ron paul supporter, i suggest you stop attacking his friends. chuck baldwin has done as much to promote ron paul as anyone, and much much more than most. baldwin helped dr. paul build the movement from the very beginning. show some appreciation.
That's a matter of semantics, really. There aren't any primaries left, so pending a convention miracle, my vote belongs to Dr. Baldwin. Uncounted write-in votes will not help further the revolution, Dr. Baldwin will.
you can still try to do something (i'm not sure what) to get ron paul the republican nomination. but at the same time, you should be supporting his friend, as a back up. baldwin was promoting the revolution since before anybody even knew there was a revolution.
As long as we vote for ANYONE besides obama or Mccain, we are doing this country a great service and are part of solution and not the problem.
Chuck would be an excellent choice ! Just encourage as many Americans as possible to Reject the current Mccain - Obama insanity and let them know there absolutely IS another choice !
NO ONE has to vote lesser of 2 evils utter nonsense. Pain is self inflicted, a vote for obama or Mccain is slow national suicide, HELP GET THIS MSSG OUT
i must have missed a memo. when did ron paul 'officially' drop from the presidential race? as far as i knew, with the nevada convention going the way it was, ron paul has a serious chance of being the candidate. but that old john mccain stumbles around on the news stations all the time and they jingle keys in the face of america and it will work because on the whole, we're very very ignorant and we don't try very hard. i'm using immensely broad strokes, obviously. still, it's true.
No offense Chuck but I was concentrating on the twins. Seriously I have to hold my vote until Dr. Paul gives you his endorsement. Why don't you ask him to run as your vice President and seal the deal.
Chuck Baldwin can't pick Ron Paul as a running mate, he already has one, and Paul hadn't ended his campaign when Castle was chosen so he couldn't have.
I stand corrected! I wouldn't mind voting for Chuck although sadly I don't know enough about him. With Dr. Paul I have a concrete record to go by. I cannot vote for Barr because he is a fake. I absolutely will not vote for either of the top 2 parties if Ron Paul isn't the candidate. Maybe you could convince Ron Paul to either endorse Chuck or stick with it. Either way we all have to be on the same page. Thanks for the video.
Baldwin already has a VP - Darryl Castle. Paul can't officially endorse Baldwin unless he wants to lose his spot on the Republican committees he serves on, and therefore lose his influence. Listen to what RP had to say about Baldwin at the Revolution March, I consider it an essential endorsement, at least.
By the way, note in this vid how Baldwin states "I will bring the troops home as soon as it is safe". When will it be safe Baldwin?? We've already been there too long, and it will continue to get worse. Barr, Nader, and McKinley both want to bring the troops home immediatley.
Baldwin will begin to bring the troops home immediately also... look up what he's said about it before, you are grasping at a slight misspeak on his part.
Baldwin's the nut who thinks that gay people can't get married, that cells are babies, and I could go on... lol

Vote Alan Keyes. He's profixing the damage that america has caused in Iraq and he's a little more prolife. Plus Baldwin didn't specifically say he was against Marijuanna, but only regarded it as a states issue. Over than that though, Baldwin is pretty cool.
supercoolbrian 3 years ago
Alan Keyes and Baldwin are BOTH part of the solution, either man is obviously a much superior choice to either Fraud now running as Dem or Repub.
both Men are true honest, independent freedom loving constitutional conservatives ! Both Men are brilliant thinkers would return this country back to its former pride and glory and put the power back into the hands of the People !

Or I could scream the N word cuz that is what LIBERALISM is all about....get over this RACE CARD that you keep playing...how is Chuck Baldwin RACIST? HOW? Because he's a white preacher from the south? Because the man has integrity and morals..Typical LIBERAL, no justification for anything, just throw the race card out there...everyone is a BIGOT OR HATE MONGER OR RACIST!
jblaz1024 3 years ago 2
Soo what, Baldwin is a racist but somehow I'm to blame?!! Is that what you are bitchin' about!?
He has as much integrity as the KKK, which to be honest I actually have more respect for them in a way. I mean there evil is plain to see, but at least they don't stand there with a smile on their faces trying to hide the racist & hateful ideology that they are beholden to. And they use God as an excuse, but they aren't using God as a cover, like Baldwin does!
SpookeyR 3 years ago
Again you have failed to provide any reason to your claims of racisim...HOW IS CHUCK A RACIST? HOW? Just because you don't like the man or what he stands for gives you ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to call him a racist! Your whole ideology is FLAWED! I never said you were to blame for anything....but you play the race card BASED ON NOTHING! You throw the word racist around sooo much it has no meaning anymore..Stop it! It's patheic..Using God as a cover? OK, REV. WRIGHT!!! You got me on that one!

border security - sound money on and on -

check out the newest video on this same channel called "Description of a Baldwin Administration" He talks about this. People shouldn't prejudge Baldwin because he's a pastor. I mean, when it comes down to it, he's the only one that wants to do good for our country, he's how a man of his word should be. If he's the only one that is good and happens to be a preacher, that should say something in itself!
davidmalekar 3 years ago
the gov't cant push religion on you...there is this thing outlined in the constitution called 'seperation of church and state'...which is supported by the constitution party as well.
WatchThisProductions 3 years ago
Um, there's NOTHING in the Constitution about "separation of church and state". That term didn't enter our legal discourse until the 1930s, when SCOTUS Justice Hugo Black cited a private Thomas Jefferson letter out of context in an opinion paper.
The only two references to religion in the Constitution is the First Amendment "Congress shall make no law..." and "No religious test...to hold office" which is in Article IV if I recall correctly.
MasonicMayhem 3 years ago
Unless you can see the republicans and democrats coming together to send him a bill to eliminate the separation of church and state I think it is a non issue.

MasonicMayhem 3 years ago
Exactly. Baldwin is a fraud, and the constitution party needs to change it's name for the matter that they aren't constitutional.
Thrice13 3 years ago
No Dr. Baldwin is not a fraud. The Constitution Party has the correct name for they support true Constitutional Federal government.
scottae316 3 years ago
Did I hear him say he was anti-abortion?? Would that not be against the constitution....???? just curious
kellymkg 3 years ago
Absolutely not. One of the main purposes of the constitution was to protect, life, liberty, and property. Life, as described by science, history, our foundational law, and the Bible includes a preborn child. Eliminating abortion is not in issue of stripping a liberty by taking away a choice protected by the constitution, simply because we should never let one "choose" to kill a child.
zachslove 3 years ago
Many abortions are done, in the very, very early stages, when the embryo is so small, no heart beat, and for this many women for hundreds of years, have had abortions. Also, what if a woman is raped (3.5% more than the EU) also, what about incest victims? Which this assbackward country it still happens????
kellymkg 3 years ago
Well, since the Constitution doesn't mention abortion.. the whole arguement is really about how much the Federal government can regulate your life. Does the general welfare clause apply in this situation? What about the tenth amendment which says all other rights are retained by the people (or the states)? If you cross a state boarder to obtain an abortion, does the interstate commerce clause apply? Does the right to life apply to a fetus? Which gets at the real question: when does life begin?
zockpuppet 3 years ago
You are right. Whatever his beliefs are, fine. But if it isn't in the constitution then he shouldn't implement his religious beliefs in politics! There is a thing called separation of church and state. Also, Baldwin is affiliated with a notorious hate group called minutemen. He is soo pro-life, yet he calls innocent babies Anchor babies. What a good conservative christian... not.
marissacalderon 3 years ago
I am so tired of the people voting based on abortion, I live in a small town, and many "church goers" shout to vote based on this. Bush sat on his platform nearly 8 years ago, and so many idiots voted for him, simply based on this. When will people learn? He said he would not police the world, and here he has started an illegal war!!! So frustrating. People, apparently do not think beyond their simpleton views..
kellymkg 3 years ago
just where, exactly, are the words 'separation of Church and state' mentioned in the Constitution as you imply?
filoIII 3 years ago
The separation of church and state is a legal and political principle derived from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, which reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ."
marissacalderon 3 years ago
it says Congress shall make no law. what about a small township introducing creationism or 5 minutes of prayer into its school? the Constitution doesnt say 'small townships shall make no law. . . " Congress isnt to create nor set up a national religion and the states may do as they please.
filoIII 3 years ago
the schools are not our government. you are taught a wide variety of things in school like the concept of religion. but being taught about religion and implementing laws from religion is totally different. Schools are not the government. Our government has the dept of education but that's just another thing they outsource.
marissacalderon 3 years ago
can you show me in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, the part that states what the federal govt may do, the part about a dept of education. i seemed to have missed that part. (dept of ed is unconstitutional-here's your civics lesson for the day)
filoIII 3 years ago
Isn't that what I said? The Dept of Education is run by our government, but it's more like an outsource. They try and control what people can or cannot learn. But like I said, people learn about different religions in school, well at least in College they do, but they don't tell you that you need to follow any religion, and they don't place laws in school saying you have to follow rules from religion. And our government shouldn't do the same.
marissacalderon 3 years ago
like i thought, you cannot justify federal funding for education, because the Constitution doesn't allow for it. your civics lesson reiterated
filoIII 3 years ago
I don't recall trying to justify anything except for the fact that religion has no place in government. whatever you believe, fine, but keep it out of our laws.
marissacalderon 3 years ago
and all i was doing was refuting the myth of a separation of Church and state that you were trying to espouse. either find it in the Constitution or stop using it. it's not in there.
filoIII 3 years ago
Read the first amendment- The separation of church and state is a LEGAL AND POLITICAL PRINCIPLE derived from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution- "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ."
marissacalderon 3 years ago
marissacalderon, Then how about keep the government out of religion? The government taxes independent churches as if they are coporations. However, you have "government churches" which are under the IRS 501(C)(3) tax provision. In order to get that status the federal government has limits on what churches can preach and teach about.
TrueConservative123 3 years ago
I have two good quotes for you, first "Impeach Jesus!" Which means, get religion out of out government once and for all! I am tired of all these politicians running around saying "I am a christian, or blah blah". I don't give a fuck, I care about your politics, not at how big of a hypocrite you are. Notice most religious conservatives love guns? I guess Jesus would approve of THAT. Second George Carlin RIP "God is an all powerful being and he needs MONEY!" I think that is self explanatory.
marissacalderon 3 years ago
The federal government is in control of our public school systems. They control what our children are taught and that is very dangerous for freedom and why our founding fathers did not want the federal government in charge of the school system. They have the ability to brainwashed our children with false economics and history as well as other subjects.
TrueConservative123 3 years ago
I agree with you on that 100%. They whitewash the truth about US history and things that are really going on in America, in history and today. My friend and I were saying, in Middle School they use to teach us how to balance a check book and how to pay bills. In high school they don't teach you shit because they know most of them once they turn 18 are going to get like 3 credit cards and run up more debt. Anything tied to the government is corrupt to me.
marissacalderon 3 years ago
everybody with brain cells has some kind of philosophy which influences their decisions.. so what? your problem is that you just don't like this particular philosophy, and want to exclude people you don't agree with from participating in politics. that is a very arrogant and intolerant position. your anti-Christian bigotry is very offensive.
nonrepublicrat 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
I have no problem with Bible thumping or Christianity, I have a problem when a party calls itself one thing and practices another.
MasonicMayhem 3 years ago
The Constitution states that there shall not be an official US Federal Church. No where does it or any supporting documents say that government, politics, or society may not be influenced by religion. The US Federal Government was never designed to be the arbiter of religion or anything like you describe. You may not agree with Dr. Baldwin's views but to say they have no place in society is arrogant and intolerant.
scottae316 3 years ago
Deists-Derive their beliefs from the existance as I quote from the Constitution"Ultimate Creator",with that said,George Washington Farewell speech stated the following"Observe good faith and justice towards all nations;cultivate peace and harmony with all.Religion and morality enjoin this conduct.
hittingrabbit 3 years ago
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. All from the first President of the United States.and this was with the Seperation of Church and State.
hittingrabbit 3 years ago
John Adams the 2nd President of the United States was a Unitarian,in which he believed in the oneness of God.Adams was aware of (and wary of) the risks, such as persecution of minorities and the temptation to wage holy wars, that an established religion poses. Nonetheless, he believed that religion, by uniting and morally guiding the people, had a role in public life. All with the Seperation of Church and State.
hittingrabbit 3 years ago
Morality isn't necessarily derived from religion. Organized religion is nothing more than panhandlers claiming to have the answers to aspects of life that are yet unexplained by science. Morality is, for the most part, intuitive and whatever isn't, instilled during the growing years.
We don't need dogmas and Scripture to become an annex to the Constitution, and I certainly don't want a POTUS who seems to think he has a batphone to heaven.
MasonicMayhem 3 years ago
The Deist typically doesn't prescribe to dogma, and they're humble enough to know that humans are incapable of communing with Deity, i.e. don't preach their sect, don't express general intolerance of other sects, and sure as heck doesn't use a Deity's name to bump their campaign.
Again, read the Constitution Party's platform on their website. If you cannot see the Bible thumping, then you're either self-deluded or having reading comprehension issues.
MasonicMayhem 3 years ago
Your user name befits you. Your assumption about the Founding Fathers is in error. Yes there were Deists, but also Christians and Theists. Few if any of them despised organized religion. Before you make outlandish comments like this do some reading. Again, because you do not share Dr. Baldwin's views does not make you right. His views are in line with the Founding Fathers.

Chuck Baldwin can't pick Ron Paul as a running mate, he already has one, and Paul hadn't ended his campaign when Castle was chosen so he couldn't have.
rebekahj 3 years ago
I stand corrected! I wouldn't mind voting for Chuck although sadly I don't know enough about him. With Dr. Paul I have a concrete record to go by. I cannot vote for Barr because he is a fake. I absolutely will not vote for either of the top 2 parties if Ron Paul isn't the candidate. Maybe you could convince Ron Paul to either endorse Chuck or stick with it. Either way we all have to be on the same page. Thanks for the video.
idiotsallover 3 years ago 3
Baldwin already has a VP - Darryl Castle. Paul can't officially endorse Baldwin unless he wants to lose his spot on the Republican committees he serves on, and therefore lose his influence. Listen to what RP had to say about Baldwin at the Revolution March, I consider it an essential endorsement, at least.
DixiePerkins 3 years ago
By the way, note in this vid how Baldwin states "I will bring the troops home as soon as it is safe". When will it be safe Baldwin?? We've already been there too long, and it will continue to get worse. Barr, Nader, and McKinley both want to bring the troops home immediatley.
