Stringman I like the way you string Neil and Van Gogh along with someone&someone. Musical distortion and Van Gogh's beautifully distorted paintings and mind are well underrepresented neither hear nor there but that is what modern art and modern music is all about. Jack, I didn't see Bedroom at Arles my favorite Gogh painting so you are remiss but at least not kissed by the sun. Did Neil really have to throw in that cliche? Doesn't the ocean put you in mind of Neil's & Demme's Philadelphia?
@11xzxzxz If I don't drop dead first, my bet is you will see Bedroom at Arles in one of the vid's here. Though the painting is somewhat of a cliche now. That does not make it any less great of course. The distortion is geniously pulled out of his mind there./// Go Van Gogh! Did i have to throw in that pathetic pun?
@pattylibraia It is a very personal vid. Related to my life at the time. I took all the vid footage on a VERy cheap cam I had at the time. The "butterfly" painting is Dali. I snapped about 1/2 of the still shots. Glad it move you. I'm going fishing...hae to run.
i dedicated this" curious" original to my wife . . the one who showed me how to live with all those things . . . how to love all those things. . . for in life it's "all those things" which land you where you need to be . . . . thanks jack! :)
Profound statement switchsearch. It is hard to see sometimes how to "live with all those things" And yes I agree, one needs to learn to love them if they are to be a positive force. You are blessed to have such a wife. ~Jack
Brilliant Song, Brilliant Video. I often wonder if Neil Young, look's on You tube, at people performing his song's ? I think he would be very happy, the way you portray his work ~ Nice one Jack ~ All the best ~ Geoff
I started last night on , "everybody is alone". watching your images made me feel like i was raking rocks in a japanese "zen" garden. the image, simple, stark, let me go further into myself, the origin of music, the closest one can be to............
Neil is a busy man. I wonder if he watches many vid's of his songs on youtube. He probably gets a charge out of the big fan base he has here on the tube.
He doesn't seem to have the desire to shy from reality a good portion of the time. I have read him "say" some things are just a little too real to write about. (parphrase) ~cg
Thanks hinsy. I'm glad you subscribed too. Neil sure has the ability to take us on Journeys. I am gratefull that he writes sings and plays form his heart. He once said he never tries to write a "hit song". I think Heart of Gold is his only #1 hit. His body of work is astouding and he is still going strong. Rust Never Sleeps ...neither seemingly does Neil. Maybe he sleeps but doesn't rust? Maybe he Rests but seldom sleeps?...(-; See ya around.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Neil and Vincent. Hmmm... both geniouses IMO. Van Gogh sold one painting his entire life. When Neil was asked about his good fortune to own a very nice ranch he replied "I guess I'm just lucky".
Just keeps getting better as ♪Time goes by♪

Merci encore. C'est une chanson pénible. Très poignant. Je pense que je sais un peu de pourquoi Jeunes de Neil ont écrit la chanson.
