I love seeing comedians from other countries talk about how they see America... it's always funny, but of course a little sad as well!
It's annoying to see other Americans on here getting upset, when our comedians do this just as much about other countries. It's all in good fun, there's nothing wrong with poking fun at each other when we all just need to laugh at ourselves!

I'll let you non-Americans in on a secret. We know exactly what you think we are like. We know all the stereotypes but we don't want to break your hearts. Because of that we humor you and only expose you to the people who either fit the stereotypes, or can act it.

Bill cosby I think is crap and the rest I don't know. although the best comedians in the world are american to you, an american, but to me and many other brits our favourites are british and irish. I think UK and US just have different tastes :)

Maybe its because of the teeth. lol at any rate, I just felt it necessary to make an attempted jab back at the british and feebly support my own country, even though to be quite honest...I think I'd rather be british. :)

@SocsRevolution13 It's not always easy to support lol. I just lay the blame on every other state but my own. Most of the time the people from elsewhere don't recognize the state and/or don't know where it is. It's much easier to defend! :)

Most places you would call 'bad' are just internal problems. There are exceptions - Israel, for example. I don't feel it's my place to judge whether other ways of doing things are right or wrong. But the U.S. supports terror and violence, the U.S. imprisons foreigners without trial for years, the U.S. tortures its prisoners, the U.S. attacks countries which are no threat just to preserve its rather dodgy way of making money. If there were another country like that, I'd protest that, too..

@kachekieran I don't go out and protest against my country or any other. Most people are just trying to hold body and soul together. Many of the people who are 'just following orders' are doing it in order not to get shot by their own side. The culprits are the politicians, and most politicians are people who weren't brought up to know any better. There but for the grace of [enter god of choice]... I try to make my immediate world better whoever that includes. I'm too old to save the world.

Its obvious your either a muslim or your apart of the anit-globalisation crowd,by saying we support terrorism. Israel is a democracy surrounded by scum,created because refined Europe ddnt want their jews back after ww2.Since we have to fix the damage from colonialism, inflicting pain is more expedient to saying please. You might say that the US supports 'freedom fighters', not terrorists but that's just terminology - the difference between an unprovoked attack and a pre-emptive strike is pretty moot. If you attack someone who's not attacking you then what, in essence, is the difference? The US funded the Contras in Nicaragua - were they freedom-fighters or terrorists?

For those arguing that people from the United States should be called something absurd like United Stations, I'll remind you that the United States of America shares it southern boarder with the Mexican United States (Estados Unidos Mexicanos). Hence American or Mexican, America or Mexico. A word for this seemingly mysterious phenomenon is metonymy. Look it up.

@flavius717 It's not the same as Germany or Korea because they are ALL of that country (remember when we had East and West Germans?) It's like Germans not calling themselves Germans but only saying they are Europeans and the rest of Europe being ashamed to call themselves European in case people think they are German, or Koreans not using the word Korean but only calling themselves Asians. Why not call yourselves 'Merkin's - you seem to anyway 'Hi, I'm a Merkin!'
