From this clip most of the names of the original characters have been changed to something else. I am old enough to have seen the original movie. but as shaqs33 stated poor remake it looks like to me. Happened with the grease remake as well.

they're not trying ot beat anything. all this is is the same school, except with the students of 2009. i think it's a good thing for kids to see these days. that fame isn't just all flash and celebrity, but should be the result of talent and hard work. i'm not saying the original should be ignored, but a version for the next generation should be nice.
