  • That's so cool! I love it! ^_^

  • name music?

  • como se llama la cancion?

  • Blocking me just shows I'm right..

  • Dance is very hard!!...Fight is very hard too!!!....

Koreans figth when dancing!!!.....I love then!!!!

  • Korean Martial art are wonderful !

  • this martial art was created for the sake of dancing, probably the empiror wanted to see ppl performing martial art in the palace but ppl though the real fighting is too violent, so they invented this

  • wow these guys can dance

  • there is more dance then there is martial art in this video

  • @SmarteJakob ahem, martial ARTS. Art of fighting. HERP DERP.

  • worst song for this video

  • @pm0834 Yeah, I agree with you.

  • i want to do this groovy moves, too. shake it all now! shaky, shake!

i´m practicing taekwondo but this seems to be much more fun:) shaky shakes!

  • what is the name of the song?

  • reminds me of capoeira with a kung fu flavor

  • @taoshyr lol, that's basically what it is. Taekkyon was introduced to many villages as a form of dance which later flourished into competitive fights.

  • POw, gostei do video, e da arte macial também!

  • this Martial arts or dance

  • @mightychoi95 as you can clearly see, it's both.

  • @mightychoi95 Martial arts and dance are often closely connected. Just look at all fighting styles from Southeast Asia. All of them, without exception are closely connected to dance. And often fighting moves are incorporated into folklore dances. Even in Chinese martial arts you'll see dance-like moves in training.

  • hermoso....sensillamente hermoso

  • beautiful Kicks!!

  • hahahaha they look like their dancing

  • are they guys?

  • If anything, neo-Confucianism is to blame for the older Korean martial arts to dwindle and be gone.

  • dancing ?

  • 噗~配上背景乐好有节奏感!

  • the martial art has many many many deadly techniques that can kill you in one shot....... thats why it was forbidden by the Japanese when they colonized Korea...

  • Now wonder Koreans are good at dance dance revolution : )

  • I think they make this funny dance movement in the beginning to show that theyr absolutely harmless but than a kick out of nowhere and your head sticks on your rips!

  • this is so much like our arts from kush land and nubia

  • Ancient martial arts reflect the way people were back in those days. There's a lot of harmony and tranquility in the movements. People were noble and even fights were more like dances. Look at humans today, martial arts like Kravmaga or championships like the UFC. The more time passes, the more we become primitive.

  • Korea Capoeira

    hauahauahauhauahauahahaaauahauhauahauahauahauhauahauahahaaauahauhauahauahauahauhauahauahahaaauahauhauahauahauahauhauahauahahaaauahauhauahauahauahauhauahauahahaaauahauhauahauahauahauhauahauahahaaauahauhaua

  • alot of ppl dont know this but taekkyun is the only 100% original korean martial art>>its all theirs...im so glad to find out itll be soon making its way to america

  • amazing, I do ITF taekwondo and I can see both our taekkyon heritage in these movements. I think Taekkyon movement, led to our "sine wave". Taekkyon was definitely the source of our kicking techniques. Our founder Major General Choi hong Hi learned taekkyon in his youth from Han ll Dong, his calligraphy teacher.

There are differences in the way we kick, but there is also much similarity.

Tkd movements of course are both like Taekkyon and shotokan karate, our other big influence. Komapsumnidal!

  • Graceful movements vs horrible music

  • Is there a reason why it's mostly focused on kicks? (just curious)

  • @yaguang kicks are slow and hard to use but if you practise, they can be deadly and powerful. they are much stronger than the arm

  • I looked up some more info on these guys, they would kill ANY UFC fighter, because their main weapon was the bow and arrow haha

  • Damn. This music is awesome. Look at 'em dance to the beat!

  • Power comes from speed and weight. Your center of weight is just below the navel. So by practicing weight transfer (the hip dancing thing) one can develop really strong movements. The flip side of this is that any good fighter will notice this transfer, there-by telegraphing the movement. The art is in having many movements that could possibly be strikes, but only striking when least expected.

  • lol I thought this video was a joke at first until I realized its actually a tyoe of martial art. Pretty cool.

  • ancient breakdancing

  • chinos wekoooss!!!XD

  • segun lo que yo se que taekkyun es la base del taekwondo ya eliminando los movimientos de baile

  • This is really great to see. Taekyun is depicted in ancient Korean art. It is the precursor of Tae Kwon-Do

  • What's the name of the song ?

  • whats the name of the song? I really like it

  • xD i just love to see a comment that disrespects some kind of a martial art its just so funny

  • American people will think its funny because thay sway back and forth before they attack but it wont be funny when u see your face about to hit the ground freaking reallyhard!

  • lol so funni how ppl who dislike taekkyun always go n talk abt mma and streets

lol i think its common sense that u use the techniques of taekkyun to defend urself?

ex. just because u practise using the boxing stance, it doesnt mean that if u wanna punch someone in the face ur going to use it right?

  • naturally as any ART-form, for (the so called) "realistic fighting" taekkyun has to be modified. the "dancing" is a method to learn about rythm. later on you will BREAK rythm. traditional methods often train abilitys (like kicking fast, high, unpredictable). see the methods in relation to their historical developement/ the intetion behind them. THAN judge.

  • i dont get the dance moves..

as i see it the opponent can now time you..

these types of martial arts are only effective when competing against each other.. and i think this will never work in a MMA match

  • @louwaars

if you don't get the dance moves, you got it right. that's what they intend to.

the dance moves were built to interfere the opponent's concentration.

  • maybe in the streets.. when facing some kind of bully.. he would lauch at the dance and then eat a kick to the teeth,..

but honestly.. when i would fight him in a ring. that dance would NOT make me lose my focus.. and i´ll walk right trough it.

and im not even that good of a fighter.

and AGAIN.. in a MMA fight the dude would get 1 kick in en then he would get chocked out

  • That dance is in the sport, it's not nessisarily part of the fighting style, the fighting style they move their arms around alot and then kick you. The hand techniques are all agenst the rules of the ring so... This fighting system (Not shown in the video cause this is modified for sport) but this system was scientifically the most advanced combat system of its time. No one had seen kicks like this before, give them some credit...

  • lolololol nice music

  • lol the song made it worst

  • @tkdsociety not at all! Taekyyon existed from many centuries ago.

  • Wtf.... those kids could kick real arse.

  • id love to learn this =]

  • taekkyon seems like its lost its touch 0.0 i would love to see this before it was outlawed and when it was more of a real military fighting style

  • man. i bet back in the day one of those fighters could kill with one hit maybe.

  • @Thesteveism they outlawed this martial art a long time ago cuz it was too deadly. fun fact

  • None of these guys could kill me cause I can run really fast! =)

  • @Thesteveism actually, there are skills in taekkyun that can kill or paralyze people instantly, so it's only taught to the students who are trusted, and are banned in the games.

  • I heard that this martial art was scientifically looked into, and they said it's the most deadly as far as the pressure points and locks they do. But no one ever sees them in videos, just demos and sport fights.

  • @GuamKomudo I finally found a video with the techniques. When translated, these techniques are called 'Old Methods', well because they were there for a long time, and banned in games. Anyways, the title of the video is Power of Taekyun.wmv

  • @GuamKomudo

There are no locks in this art, at least not in any of the videos I have seen. You must be confusing this with something else.

  • Don't look at the videos, but I have seen a few videos with knife lock disarms. But this art is more than the kicking you see in the videos. It was said, in terms of anatomey, this martial art has the most deadly techniques that another human can do to another. Things like neck breaks and pressure points ect Just what I heard. But there is more to kicking, just the deadly moves, like in all martial arts competitions, are not alowed to be used.

  • @Derukugi2 there are locks in this art as well as punches.

  • @kero7642

Well, you can say what you want, but can you point to a video that shows any?

    Seeing is believing.

  • @Thesteveism theyre still human beings. theyre not any different just because they were around in the past. if anything people are more deadly now with modern specialist training and a greater understanding of how the human body works. you have just shown your ignorance.

  • @kungfufreddy Late reply: Of course the poster to whom you replied has a lot of fantasy in his/her comment, but might not be too far off the truth. If you see what those martial artist in the Philippines, who fought in WWII were able to do, you'd be amazed. Often, these guys are way tougher than "modern" martial artists, because they didn't have modern training gear/ ground. And if we talk about soldiers, those warriors back then had heavier armor. But a comparisson with modern times is unjust.

  • @Thesteveism hes spent all his life kicking one to the throught and ur done

  • Yeah, especially since most of them used bow and arrows on horseback... =P

  • you guyz makn fun of it i thnk u dint know this art is also base of TKD go on wikipedia n u wll get da whole history

  • the base of TKD is Shotokan Karate... This is just the base of like a few flashy kicks...

  • while i do agree that taekwondo suffered do to the japan occupation, the root of all korean unarmed martial arts, subak, was regarded as one of the deadliest fighting styles known to man.

  • Taekwondo wasent made until AFTER the Japanese occupation... Shut up...

  • the official style, maybe, but the roots were there. and besides, japan never managed to take korea for long before these "flashy kicks" whooped their asses.

  • Id give credit to the ass kicking to the Atomic bomb, not these kicks that usually leave you on your butt with the other guy standing over you like... Uhhh... Why are you hitting me, my foot tapped you in the chest, I got a point, time to reset... No offense, and I like Korea, but Korea has been owned by everyone withen 1000 miles of them xD But no, iv seen TKD at its best, its no joke, look up this Turkish guy in K1, hes AMAZING! Id say if he hit right, one of his kicks could kill...

  • Comment removed

  • @GuamKomudo

Actually, Shotokan Karate is relatively modern style. Taekkyon is supposed to have a long history. So, your comment is nonsensical.

  • A Korean claim

The Korean says that "it is a historical fact, and there is the evidence".

When is argued that "show the historical evidence"; a Korean "look for it from now on. However, it is certain that it is a fact. Therefore I say that it is wrong that you say an objection.

  • Taekkyun does have hand techniques

  • Where can I buy the shoes from?

  • hahaha i love it so it's amazing is there a trainer how can teach me how to practice this ? and is it the same as tkd ?

  • TKD is a mix between this and Karate and some Kung fu. TKD is very new for what people call a "Traditional" martial art.

This isent a martial art, its a folk game. Im guessing it was just a fun way to practice their moves that they really did use in wars and stuff. But all I know is it was a game, not a fighting art like TKD. This has grappling and kicking, thats all, no punching what so ever.

  • Actually this is a real practical martial art. TKD lol that is a sport this is a martial art meant to kill don't compare the 2.

  • This is called Taekkyun, its not the same as TKD. TKD does use alot of the same kicks, but this is a game. They dont punch, only kicks and stand up grappling. I never heard of a school in America, only Korea. But I dont know, maby there is one where you live, I dont know where you live, but unless you live in Korea id really dout it...

  • This isent a fighting art, its a game... This is a Korean village game based on their fighting art.

  • rofl

  • Can anyone please tell me the name or singer of the song..i like it very much ...thx...

    shotodang

  • Shotodang, I asked almost the same question 1 year ago...nice song huh..?? Well, someone replied to me that the title of the song is She is too much pretty to me by WAX.....

  • LAME

  • gay -.-

  • HAHAHA...SO RIGHT

  • my father was a great enthusiasts of korean martial arts. he got lessons straight from general choi. i am happy for him that his desire pass down to me even though we were not koreans. if i could say my thanks g.choi ......i would. i salute you!

  • @Antimortem Im glad to see people appreciate real Taekwon-Do not this WTF sport you see in the olympics.

    ITF = Real Taekwon-Do

  • the "dancing" also has a few other purposes.

it creates sensitivity and awareness or.. muscle control in the legs, "foot awareness" if you will, also the looseness for whip-snapping power... plus serves as a bit of a feint.

i dont practice it... but seems pretty obvious to me.

  • lol smart....your completely right

  • the dancing is partly to stretch the groin and legs but mostly to instill a muscle memory reflex that teaches one to "use his whole body" when doing all of the kicks.

you'll notice the master is doing it as a body-motion where as it's the students doing it as a faggety ass dance, lacking proper understanding as they are.

  • What's the deal with all the dancing?

BTW this looks similiar to some chinese northen kung fu

  • y can't ppl just make a simple comparison if making comparison makes them feel better. best comparison? i would say traditional sword-based kendo to sports-based kendo w/ sticks. taekkeyon is traditional and we all know tkd is nothing more than sports like kendo. also, n e one know anything about korean culture would know the movement and rhythm of taekkyeon is more interlinked w/ korea than china or japan. ppl say korean culture died, but how? modern culture is not same as trad. culture.

  • taekkyun is a fighting style in korea

that help in the rise against the other asian invaders

it was so dangerous that it used 2 b bannd

and takkyun's fighting stance is based on its national dance

and ur suppose 2 be happy wen u fyt...

  • It looks funny but I have seen some gd kicks

  • their movement is like dancing but it is a great fighting stand back and fourth it is awesome

  • I know people are going to say I'm ignorant, and I know that this style will have it's strengths, but it looks weird. No offense, and I don't mind learning it if I have then chance.

  • Taekwondo and Taekkyun is similar. Not 100%, but a few. I haven't study much about it. But I have heard Taekwondo is a develop art from taekkyun and shotokan, probably a few others. Considering if taekkyun was banned during the Jap reign, then taekkyun might of change into something like taekwondo with the mix of some Jap arts. Akido and Hapkido is different and similar. Akido seems to be like take down moves and Hapkido seems to be kicks. Overall, things can change when taken over.

  • oh and tae kwon do does work in real life -.- people who says it doesnt never fought anyone that is good or dedicated to it. And most places dont teach tae kwon do right anymore.

  • taekyun was a martial art so strong that when japan occupied korea they banned it and made it illegal to practice it. so basically taekyun disappeared until some people found 2 old people in a mountain practicing it a few years ago.

  • before juding this "acient" do some research and this whole "taekkyuin" boom seems to be madeup only one master survived to carry on...

o read lot about this arcile from historicians and they clame its fake

the last "masters" madeup this whole think cos dancing wasent never popular in korea, koreans have strong legs cos of the nature of theyrs land, lot of mauntins..

  • Are you stupid? There are royal records from Chosun dynasty well into the late 1800's that passed laws regulating taekyon tounaments as well as Japanese ban of the sport in early 1900's. Just because there was 1 well known master who survived these turbulent times doesn't mean the entire is made up. Koreans have also practiced ssirum all throughout history. Just because none of the "masters" didn't survive this period doesn't mean ssirum is made up either.

  • Show us physical records. That's all, liar!

  • it looks like funny dancing, but this is one martial art i do not want to mess with

  • I've been doing taekwondo for a few years now. This video makes me want to go to korea and learn Taekkyun instead, such a graceful martial art. Amazing

  • i do kung fu but this is pretty killer, isn't this like a mix of a dance a game and a martial art ?

  • If you never heard of the Howarang warriors, then you don't know nothing about taekkyun or taekwondo, i have read the entire history of both martial arts, and both of them have nothing to see with any karate style, sorry men, but you goy owned. Taekkyun as taekwondo are originally from Korea. Check your sources man.

  • I like this video, what is the title of the song? I like the music... keep it going!!

    Peace.

  • (^_-)

This is what is called "anti-Japan movement" in Korea. you've been tottaly strayed from the main topic.

I was talking about the Root of Tae-kwon do(the answer is shotokan-Karate), and why Koreans have to change the nemes of Japan oriented culture(the answer is Japanese culture had been banned for more than 50 years).

Even if you hate Japan, The fact is fact.

  • lol what are u blabbing about?

  • I'm studying Aikido(合気道). Some Korean call Aikido 'Hapkido', which is Korean pronounciation of Akido, added Karate kick, then suddenly started insisting Hapkido is Korean Original martial art.

So, basically I feel very unconfortable. Regarding Taekkyun, Korean student of Shotokan-Karate taught it in Korea, changed the name to 'Tae kwon do', started insisting it's Korean original based on Taekkyun, the dance has never been popular in Korea.

With them, all I can do is Blabbing.

  • yop i was saying something similiar

dancing wasent there soo popular and they have strong legs becose they had lot of mauntins.. at least this is oponion of major historicans...

  • Hapkido has a very different history from tkd. It traces its lineage directly to the Japanese creator of Aikido although it also embraces kicks and aspect of Korean MA's. TKD is a modern(50's) amalgamation from create a Korean MA system.

  • Whatever you insist, TKD masters confessed they were sutudents of Shotokan-karate, and early forms of TKD is identical to karate.

But I agree TKD is korean now. It had changed to sports focusing on Kick teqnique for 60 years. It looks cool and I like it. (if people like you don't tell a lie about where it came from)

  • Just because some of them learned karate doesn't mean TKD is karate. Some of them also learned Chinese MA and indigenous Korean MA. That's a fact.

  • If I used your deranged logic I would say TKD has no Japanese influences since Karate comes from China. Okinawans called it way of Chinese hand so TKD is created from Chinese and Korean MA and no Japanese MA. According to your logic I would have to say there is no "japanese" culture since 99% of "japanese" culture is Korean and Chinese from language, kanji, food, religion, philosophy, ancient technology and almost everything else you can think of.

  • The root of "anti-japanese movement" was created as propaganda during WWII and Japanese Imperialism to justify Japanese atrocities. That's like a German talking about "volk" or other Nazi concepts. Unbelievable. Root of TKD is chinese, korean, ryukan MA's. It's not just shotokan. Stop being a racist nationalist Japanese.

  • Wrong..

don't you know Japanese culture(including pop songs, manga) had been banned by the government until recently? Why the government hided the existence of 'Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea'?

TKD masters couldn't tell it came from Japan because the military government was unconfortable with it.

One thing I want you to do is to name dojos, scrolls, famous masters of Korean MA before 1910. Do you know MAs were traditionally thought to be lowly in Chosun?

  • I was talking about Japanese culture. You're just talking about manga, hentei and other Japanese pop culture was in existence only in the last few decades. That is a sliver of Japanese culture, most of which was not and is not illegal in Korea.

  • Koreans try to make up Taekkyon(dance?) as a Korean original martial art to hide the roots of Tae-kon do.

Tae-kon do was founded by sho-tokan Karate students after WW2, But it was inconvenient for those who were in anti-Japan movement.

Again, Tae-kon do is Koreans, but it was new derived from Karate.

as Karate derived from Chinese Kunfu ages ago. Be Honest!

  • You have to remember that Taekkyun came first. Not tae kwan do. Taekkyun has been around for generations and was a known tradition to every korean until the japanese entered Korea and banned Korean language in school as well as Taekkyun. Later after the korean war ended. 2 old men have been discovered still practicing Taekkyun. They decide to record it and learn the legends of the art before the 2 past. Later afterwards, they passed. Now Taekkyun is becoming known throughout Korea once again.

  • Japan taught Japanese in school, but didn't ban Korean languege during WW2. You can easily find ADDs or books in Korean in that age.

Japan BAN Taekkyun? Bullshit! Students who studied Karate during Japan's annexatioan, started teaching Karate as a "Korean original Tae-kon do". They had to change the name because Japanese culture had been banned in Korea for 50 years since WW2 ended. "Taekkyun the dance" is just an excuse to hide where Tae-kon do is from. Refer to what Tae-kon do founder said.

  • WOW, your a freaking moron. I dont know who you are and where you come out claiming that you know. But Taekkyun originally existed ages before Tae kwan do appeared. Moron! Dont go claiming things without knowing your facts. You obviously dont know your history. And yet I suppose you probably think you know more then everyone here. Right? Learn your facts. Then post. Search your history. You know nothing. Immature brat

  • Question to you

1)Japanese culture had been banned in Korea for 50 years since WW2 ended. True or false?

2)Tae-kwon do founders were Shotokan-Karate students. True or false?

3)Taekkyun started to be familier among Korean people not as a dance but a martial art, AFTER Tae-kwon do became popular. True or false

I'm just saying THE FACT. I feel quite unconfortable with Korean attitude trying to insist its Origins with creating the root which has never been exist.

  • 1)No one has been formally prohibited Japanese culture in Korea. who's teached you like this? you have to realize, in the past because of own wants, Japan had committed the massacre of the innocents in ASIA. so not only Korean but also almost( of Chinese, Indonesian, Philippines etc.) ASIAN feels so uncomfortable with a part of Jspanese people like you until now. you had better keep silence.

  • Surprised at your ignorrance, neunquadrat. Regarding WW2, Korea had been a part of Japan for 35years(1910-1945). So Korea is totally different from other Asian countries. Korea had been fight with China, England, USA and other countries too as a Japan's side. Ask Chinese people which side Koreans had been then?

I do know Japan made a huge damage especially to Asian countries. As a Japanese I'm always trying to study the history, pray for the victims and swear never to commit the same thing.

  • 이색이 미쳤나...

  • Cant truly agree with what your saying, only remember the fall of baekjae being the only time when korea had an alliance with japan

  • Korea was never part of Japan. The Provisional Government of Korea was in Shanghai and delegates were sent to the Hague protesting Japan's illegal occupation of Korea. Japan conceded this in their surrender treaties made with US and allies at the end of WWII. Korean were coerced under a totalitarian police state the entire time Japan occupied Korea. Japanese atrocities and forced coercions are well documented and world famous. Please don't be stupid.

  • History is not those things which you WANT TO believe, but continuous FACTs. I don't say annexation was good for Korea. But let yourself inform how many asian countries had been independent in year 1910. Only Thai and Japan. The world was in jungle law. If Japan didn't merge Korea, Russia did.

Plus, Korea was not independent before 1895, when the treaty of Maguan was made between Qing empire of china and Japan. Reffer to the treaty.

You can hate Japan, but focus on FACTs.

  • That's the propaganda you're swallowing whole. Not even all Japanese historians believe what you are saying. It's also opinion, not fact. A fact would be saying something like your argument is Imperial Japanese propaganda that only right wing black van racist Japanese and their supporters believe.

  • You must be living in N.Korea. Lack of information you are.

Government's propaganda has no meaning in Japan because they can access each and any piece of information.

Boy, wake up from the hatred. You don't even know Korea banned 왜색 for a long time until recently. Did you listen to a Japanese song on TV in Korea 15 years ago?

All you have to do is name dojos, famous masters and scrolls of Korean MA before 1900.

  • the only book or scroll you can hear of before this time is Muyedobotongji which came out in the 1700 and the hwa rang warrior class all of which you could call famous masters other than that its impossible to find any remnants of martial arts do jangs

  • Melon, which word on my message sounds racist? You can say anything only if you are responsible on your word.

  • 2) TKD is similar to KRT but they are strongly different from each other. do you know there are how many martial arts in Korea? don't tell me Korea only have one type of matial art TKD. " 南拳北腿(Southern Fist, Northern Kick) you do remember this. Japan belong to Southern ASIA. OK?

  • 3) 1962, TKD become a Korean soldier's martial art by Korea government. since then, TKD has become a most popular martial art in Korea.

you have no reason feel uncomfortable with Korean people. Korean's attitude? do you believe that things? it's not fact.

  • No one wanted Japanese "culture" in Korea after the Japanese left Korea. Taekwondo's founders studied varying degrees of karate kungfu and taekyon. Taekyeon was most popular during late 1800's of Chosun dynasty era when mass tournaments would be held by public and even aristocrats would join in. The court had to pass laws to regulate these tournaments. Taekyon was also part of MA that was required learning for Chosun military officers. Please stop embarrassing yourself with your ignorance.

  • and secondly. Tae kon do isn't even a word. Its Tae kwon do or tae kwan do.

  • Tell me ancient Taekkyun masters, scrols, groups. I've seen one drawing, but it looked dance or child play.

  • okay, well yes. Almost all of those are true. But even so, how long will it take Koreans to originate their own form of martial arts as a back up for Tae kwon do? It would have take more then 100 years just to create a simple strike technique. And seeing the techniques used in Taekkyun, there is no similarity to tae kwon do whatsoever. Karate and tae kwon do do share the same roots. However Taekkyun, seems more chinese based. Not Japanese. It has a similarity to Kung fu. Not karate.

  • redeyeMangekyou-san

Tae kwon do was born in 1950s. So it takes about "60 years" to originate Korean own form of martial arts. Actually If Koreans don't hide the roots, I do like Tae kwon do because it looks cool, even if it doesn't work in the real fight. But the LIES(like it derives from ancient Korean martial arts called Taekkyun) makes Tae kwon do smells fishy for me.

  • it seems you have great knolage of asian martial arts, but what about hwarangdo ?

  • Sorry but I've never heard of hwarangdo.

  • Hwarangdo doesn't have enough evidence to portray themselves as "traditional" martial arts. The founder Joo Bang Lee claims that he learned from a master which has no so called record of existence. The style called Umyang kwon (aka yinyang fist) is primarily unknown. All in all, Hwarangdo is only a marketed name and nothing more until they can have proof to back it up.

  • Taekwondo was formalized in 50's at the behest of the president to create a system for the military to learn. Karate was formalized in 1915 or so and it was called Chinese hand and foot. Martial arts not original. They are evolved formulation influenced by previous existing systems.

  • Japan banned Korean language for common usage. You can find books that studied the language for academic purposes but in public and officially Korean language and writing was banned. This is basic history acknowledged all around the world. Only a stupid Japanese would deny facts in public record. Japanese culture wasn't banned. It was hated and rejected by Koreans since it was coerced on them during colonization. I think the atom bombs caused mutations in your Japanese brain.

  • Ohhhhh post character restriction is a bit annoying when you are having a nice discussion :)

  • I agree that he studied Shotokan... It's not hard to notice but some things are very similar to TK... Now he could have just inserted them but things like the waving of the body or the bent knees are TK trademark. And yeah you are probably right about him saying things to look more patriotic but no one is perfect and image is important when you are popular :) ... Not to say he is not patriot anyway I'm not korean and I can't be the judge of that. Oh and sevo chagi? definitely came from TK :)
