Contouring and highlighting is only necessary for night time or for photography. It looks very unnatural in daylight (especially if not done well)!

Great video! Any recommendations for a good highlighter pen? Are there any other choice of contouring without using a bronzer?

Well, some people, especially professional makeup artists when it comes to photo shoots and runways, use FOUNDATION to contour or hightlight - 1-2 shades darker/lighter than your usual shade.

It takes skill tho, and more time :p and the results can be OTT for everyday!

just a comment about short chin... if you have short chin you don't want to lenthen it because a short chin makes one look younger (ex., kids have short chin in proportion to their face), while a long chin makes one look older (an adult has bigger chin in proportion to his face compared w/ a child's chin in proportion to his face)

I tried to put on make up a couple times, but it made my face look really weird.

I will try to apply the technique in your video. However, I have a question. I have round face too. I want my cheek to look not too broad, I should apply darker shade right?

Darker shade means more brown? Blush is considered lighter shade???

I know these maybe basic thing, I just don't do makeups, so I'm clueless! :(

A darker shade would be a colour that's a shade or two darker than your skintone. It need NOT be brown! :)

I mean, if you have pink undertones, brown would look VERY weird. The easiest way is to see what is your perfect FOUNDATION/BASE shade, and go 2(natural) or 3 (more dramatic-be careful) shades darker...

A highligher would be the LIGHTER shade.

A blush is a pink/peach colour for your cheeks. A simple guideline would be to pinch your cheeks and see what the colour is :D
