Biowhare and Lucasarts are prety legit gaming companines, I think WAR failed becuase they dident realilize people who play mmos dident want to read the 5zillion pages of story lore that they put in their game, lets hope this game does better

the person prob, messed the name up! "The Old Republic" is pretty much KOTOR 3, but just 300 years later, I saw a review from one of the makers of the game and yes, there will be people from KotOR in it, (relatives of course) so this is pretty much a KOTOR but just SW: TOR

i am.......unsure about how i feel about it being an MMO. the only one i ever played was crappy Runescape. i would quite like it if there was just a single-player one like the other 2, but if this is pulled off, it will be a great step forward for MMO's and Star wars

Revan is still alive, if you read the TOR website, it says a mysterious sith leader appears. With a bit of Alpha investigation I did.. well you'll find out after release.  As for being a few hundred years after TOR... Alot of jedi/sith make it to VERY old ages..

Sith Leader?  Lucas stated that Revan turning to the light was how kotor canonically ended. It would seem to me that Revan would remain in the light and reject the dark side and the sith from there on out.

They said that at the end of KOTOR I but not KOTOR II, at the end of KOTOR they said that revan went out into deep space to do some unfinished bussiness having to do with the sith empire. (Something he found from his past) and it's not impossible for anyone to fall again, especially him of all people.

I Agree completely with Mitth13, and with the others who are saying that if the game is any good it will be the replacement of World of Warcraft, when this game comes out ill probably stop subscribing to WoW and start playing this instead.

And unlike WoW this will probably not have some screwed up 15 dollars a month charge. I hate that :(

Eh... they're releasing patches but just to fix things they've broken and to add content... Wrath is far better than BC was at the start other than the fact that no one had played a WoW expansion... BC was a mess at release far worse than Wrath... I'm done with WoW just because i've played it far too long and am moving on but WoW will stay strong for many more years and outlive most MMO's that are releasing today because of its player base... but it's w/e...

i quit wow and while back after i got banned for trading tons of lvl 70 counts when BC was out but wotlk sucks and so did BC PRE-BC was the only good part of wow but i think WoW is gonna fall pretty soon. someone told me that blizz will be coming out with another mmo when WoW is like over or sumthin like that or that blizz is teaming up with activision or microsoft idk it was sumthin like that.

I remember a few months ago Game Informer readers made Kotor 3 the most anticipated sequel to a game... I wholeheartedly agree as a longtime fan of Star Wars and this is my favorite videogame series of all time...

Yes yes it is, I myself play wow for 2 years now and I really do believe so. I played SWG too it was ok but wow got better with advanced system and graphics and everything. Id say this game has a great potential to kill the wow mostly because im the fan of SW serials. Regardless of this video, I believe making one Elder Scrolls MMO would also kill wow. So yeah its possible

Knowing Lucasarts it'll probably be May, that's practically Star Wars month after all.

Most dates in the Star Wars chronology are in May (the real life chronology, of course).
