I threw 6k and 9k for 5 weeks and 8k and 10k for a few weeks with a similar shot put session mixed in every other day. It was awesome and my distances with all weights went up 3-5 meters in two months but the 8k/10k combo set me back a little technically towards the end of the summer. Anyways, I've been following your progress for a little while now, just thought it's cool another guy from NM is throwing the hammer well.
It is going well, I'm adjusting to my third coach of my college career and I like him a lot, but I'm still getting used to his program. My training distances are down from the summer, but I'm hoping they start picking up soon. As for all the weights, this summer I was in between coaches and had the opportunity to train however I wanted so I went back to home to NM and just threw twice a day most of the time with some heavy winds, kettle bell drills and light olympic lifts after each session.
@alexu2689 pretty good overall. I broke 200 with the 16 lb hammer in practice last summer. I have also thrown just over 57 in shot put training. I've been doing a lot of traveling lately, so my training has been a little inconsistent recently. This year is sort of a redshirt year for me, but I'll probably do a couple meets unattached. How about you? I see you also do a lot of training with different weight hammers.

@alexu2689 that sound pretty similar to what I do for training. How many years of eligibility do you have left and where are you going to school?

@billsquire44 This is my last year of eligibility and I go to UC Santa Barbara
