I played this game for months. I mined to make money to buy a nice UNARMED mining ship on several occasions, for months at a time, only to have it destroyed time and time again. Don't waste you money ppl! the game is pointless and stupid! The game play in unbalanced and unfair! Oh, I was banned by ccp after filing complaints in eve's forums, under Char. name Tuscun Nebular!
The only way you could've been killed while mining would've been in low sec without protectors, or in hi sec by flippers, mind your wrecks and avoid jet canning. It's so easy not to fall onto someones killboard in EVE... But ye, go ahead and hate on the MMO that stays hardcore and has the brighest future...

I loved EVE for 2 years...and then somehow i got bored...dont know why, didnt mean it but it happened...somehow it just was fit, undock, fight, get popped, repeat.
I'd like to see realistic flight physics, kinda like what youd seen in babylon5. I would also like to see ships with real weapon arcs, where all your guns cant fire in every direction like they can now. It would make knowing how to fly a space craft vital. Piloting skills really dont play a huge roll in combat. Maneuvering to weapons to bare seems a bit more realistic, and would promote fleet formations and more interesting PvE and PvP engagements. I would also love to see better weapon graphics
I am still a fairly new player, and despite still getting a good grasp on how PvP works now, I fully agree here. If this were to happen, it would add numerous layers of strategy. Though, due to the added difficulty that comes with it, we could lose numbers. Not everyone has the time to dedicate to this as some of us do. :(

Out of all this hype and information, I bet the problem with small text fonts on 24 inch abd bigger monitors at 1920 x 1200 resolution and higher have been completely overlooked. Typical of CCP.
I so regret not playing Eve sooner, and it's still getting better while staying hardcore, which I respect so much. Sure new players are welcome, provided you have the character and IQ irl, which is something more developers need to take note of. Long live CCP !
What the hell's a British accent?? there's no such thing Britain consists of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England, and your talking 50+ different distinct accents not to mention different languages altogether. No one speaks 'British' it's English, but even then only a very small percentage actually speak 'propper' English. As for the speaker there's nothing wrong with his accent, I'd rather listen to him all day than a scouser for 5 minutes any day :)

Yes, but do you see me trying to be a speaker for CCP? If this guy is talking in front of so many people, the LEAST he can do is speak CLEAN, English. There are courses/classes designed to eliminate accents and he surely earns enough to afford them. It is simply unprofessional for a speaker to have such bad accent. If it was a light accent - no big deal. But this guy is in horrible shape.

I Russia hadn't attacked Germany when they did, Hitler wouldn't be forced to fight on two fronts and would have stationed those soldiers to drive the allies out of europe. Ambulation (now called Incarna as you can see in the vid at 28:20) will be after planetary interaction. Given that they do 2 expansions a year, that will mean Incarna is coming out in winter 2010 (Dominion 2009, planets 2010, incarna 2010).

EvE does have long periods of inactivity, for example prolly 1/4 of EvE players are currently playing aion, most of my corp and at least half the alliance are atm,
But I know they will be back, so does CCP, its the way eve players roll, we play other games (even mmo's) but we allways come back, thats why they said that in 2008 they had a bad year due to warhammer. and soase.
It's like eve is our second life and other games get played but all it takes is a few calls and were all back in a flash.
Eve is a SF-MMORPG people either love or hate, hardly any in-betweens. It requires a good deal of both brains and balls. Risks are often big, losses REALLY hurt, but that only makes victory taste that much sweeter :-)
Eve has only one server, unlike other MMORPG's, and one in-game, player-controlled, economy which actually works very, very well. If you like PvP, Science-Fiction, and a mature (if sometimes rather cruel) community, do be sure to give it a try. I suck at Eve, but it DOES rock ;-)
? Are these Level 3 Pirate Faction Epic Arc missions something we can do in Empire, or are we going to have to make friends with Delve Allainces to get to the Blood raider missions? or any of the Pirate Faction located with their stations in 0.0

The fun thing about Eve is that you CAN actually be effective in both PVP and PVE from... well, almost from the get-go, really.
I don't play a lot any more, but when I used to, I loved to take new players with me on high level PVE missions. Great combination, that! Me in a big ship with big, hard hitting guns, and they in small ships with small, fast tracking guns- so, the "noobs" could pop small spawns that I couldn't even hit!

WOW and many other MMOs have private servers in which pirates can play downloaded and cracked versions of the game.

What the hell makes you think I am a native speaker? Just because you can understand him, doesn't mean it's pleasant to listen to him or easy to understand for everyone. It is my firm belief that a good speaker should have clean, good sounding English. I don't have anything against EVE or CCP. Hell I don't even have anything against their speaker, except that he needs to start working out and learn to speak better English. ; )

@jamescgale sorry mate but you are both right. I Russia hadn't attacked Germany when they did, Hitler wouldn't be forced to fight on two fronts and would have stationed those soldiers to drive the allies out of europe. We don't speak German (or Japanese for that matter) because the Allies (which includes Canada, USA and UK) took part in a two-fronted war with Germany. they probably would have been beaten otherwise.

Ambulation (now called Incarna as you can see in the vid at 28:20) will be after planetary interaction. Given that they do 2 expansions a year, that will mean Incarna is coming out in winter 2010 (Dominion 2009, planets 2010, incarna 2010).

if only all game developers were as awesome and in love with their work and game and took pride in it not looking just for a quick $.Then we would be torn apart by wich games to play next ... sadly fatasses in suits run 95% of the current gameing industry ... and those fatasses dont even know what a game is. Our only hope lies with non-american devs,Eu and Asian game devs ftw!

EvE does have long periods of inactivity, for example prolly 1/4 of EvE players are currently playing aion, most of my corp and at least half the alliance are atm,
But I know they will be back, so does CCP, its the way eve players roll, we play other games (even mmo's) but we allways come back, thats why they said that in 2008 they had a bad year due to warhammer. and soase.
It's like eve is our second life and other games get played but all it takes is a few calls and were all back in a flash.

Eve is a SF-MMORPG people either love or hate, hardly any in-betweens. It requires a good deal of both brains and balls. Risks are often big, losses REALLY hurt, but that only makes victory taste that much sweeter :-)
Eve has only one server, unlike other MMORPG's, and one in-game, player-controlled, economy which actually works very, very well. If you like PvP, Science-Fiction, and a mature (if sometimes rather cruel) community, do be sure to give it a try. I suck at Eve, but it DOES rock ;-)

It actually does not take a lot of time to crush a ball ;-)
The fun thing about Eve is that you CAN actually be effective in both PVP and PVE from... well, almost from the get-go, really.
I don't play a lot any more, but when I used to, I loved to take new players with me on high level PVE missions. Great combination, that! Me in a big ship with big, hard hitting guns, and they in small ships with small, fast tracking guns- so, the "noobs" could pop small spawns that I couldn't even hit!

Their primary language is not English, but Icelandic. And the pronunciation of both are pretty much the opposite. You try to pronounce Icelandic properly. It probably sounds as shit as when you people with English as primary language try to speak Spanish.
