  • The movie was a piss take towards the original.

  • this is a seriously funny and very precise review...u guys are HILAROUS togather..."...IT'S NOT "ROCKY" SYLVESTER..."...classic...good stuff...keep it up.

  • i used to think waterworld was the worst movie ever. but its not. this remake of get carter is hands down the biggest piece of shit ever. thanks guys for reinforcing the fact that this movie totally sucked. mr.cox's gay lover. lololol

  • The only thing I liked about this film was how it captured Seattle in the late 1990s. Full of douche bag computer hipsters who thought they'd be the next big thing and the post-grundge arrival of electronic dance music into the city's music scene. The plot and acting was shit.

  • Good one. I sort of like this movie and I do understand why a lot of people hate it. I haven't seen the original and if it wasn't remade, I wouldn't have heard of it. The camera tricks are dumb, the opening credits look alright. If I have seen the original, I would hated the remake or enjoyed it for what it is. Maybe I'm too optimistic.

  • @TyComedian I come from the area where the original comes from and therefore can identify with it. I did not appreciate the remake.

  • It's funny how Kinnear is like a badass in the 1971 film yet he's some annoying kid in this

  • great review~!

  • I think its time for a remake of Saving Private Ryan. Good first effort but where was the romance and where was the comedy? This time I am going to remake it as a Romantic Comedy. In my version Jennifer Aniston replaces Tom Hanks. Dam im good at this!

  • What was Stallone thinking! Leave the classic alone!

  • Fantastic - confirming my initial opinion of your review!

    Onto some more.....

NIce to hear an American opinion of Newcastle by the way....

  • Good review guys. Witty, with some good insight, which makes it worth watching.

But also accurate. As a stand alone film it was formulaic and instantly forgettable, but as a remake it was the pits, really really really the pits.

The bit that stands out for me, was the pastiche of the "Your a big bloke scene."

You've got Stallone, looking like the side of a house, telling Michael Caine, in his 60s/70s, that he's a big bloke, lol, pitiful, really really pitiful.

  • Could only of been worse if surgeons managed to bring his brother back to life and he appears in the final scene. With Bambis mum, ET and that drone that got hurt in Silent Running. WOW! Ive should get a job as a movie mogul.

  • @capitalsho yeah you should. you'd go far. :) thanks for the comment, you made us laugh.

  • You guy's are fuckin hilarious. Laughed my ass off. Now I don't have to watch this movie. Peace

  • I'm gonna throw him out the window. Haha.

  • Another great review. I love Stallone but this one really sucked!
