Yeah thats what I do but this guy does it like 10 times faster than me and his accuracy is incredible.

All of my "suicide" leaps were in vain. Nice to see yet another skip though. I have been using Ar Max lately to start a game with all magic and high levels for testing purposes. Just tonight I loaded the minotaur cut scene skip. I hope to do more but don't think I am stepping on anyone's toes here. I had the same trouble with discoveries in MK games. There is always someone to start problems. Later.

The only way I can think of skipping Hydra and having PR is either 1, if a way to traverse these kind of ropes upwards is found (unlikely because of several reasons, not to mention the loading trigger) or 2, if a glitch to emulate the effects of a Bonus play is found. BigVEE actually said something about this kind of glitch once... though he implied that it was only very temporary. BTW, an early version of the glitch FAQ is published at GameFAQs.

Its awesome what can be done in this game. So now we could actually skip 3 of the 4 spells, right? That's assuming you could get lvl 2 BoC by the time you are supposed to fight Medusa. Perhaps we could skip all 4 spells? Its something I never thought about before... not that it would be a good idea for speedrunning but still interesting.

I tried to do this once, but couldn't hit the correct spot inside the wall. MG lv.2 blast could serve as a decent substitute to PR, but if I remember correctly, only with BoA (or maybe ledge jumps). Very nice work.
