Her achingly pure soprano voice could bring me to tears hearing just about anything she sang. As her voice deepened over the decades, she actually took voice lessons!
What a voice that lady has! And always had, for that matter... I started listening to her seriosly back in the mid 60's, as she quite often appeared on national television shows here in Sweden in those days. And still to this day, that wonderful lady keeps coming back here, highly appreciated not only by us old bums, but today also by a much younger audience. Sadly though, I missed her tour last fall, but hope to get a new chance to see her soon. Stars like her really should be immortal!

i just got my eyes and ears open for Joan Baez a couple months ago, and now i can't stop listening to her, a wonderful woman with an amazing voice!
