cool man, I'm learning guitar right now, almost completely using slide. I have a little parlor guitar thinking on getting a wood bodied resonator since I play slide...
@Darkshadows90. Thanks for the comment! I like the National Resophonic El Trovador for a wood bodied reso. Although I am favoring an acoustic Stella replica for slide over my resonators these days. Keep at it!
I have both but lean to the single cone because the coverplate section that protects the T bridge on the tricone makes it a bit awkward for hand placement. Overcome with practice/time.
The single cone is louder, with more bark. Tricone certainly has volume but is warmer, smoother in tone. Delta (single cone), Piedmont (tricone) is kinda how I look at it.
Great job man!

Both sound great all around though.

Good Job Bruh! I am actually trying to learn this now for the same reason... I have no idea how to play slide. Keep it up!

@WsupTony. Thanks! Slide is challenging to learn but sure is worth it. Amazing what those little things can do. All the best.

houpts 2 years ago
Yup. 1997 style N. Got it in 1998...it was the cheapest National at the store I was at:)
tomfeldmannmusic 2 years ago
That was awesome! Open G?
houpts 2 years ago
Open G, yes...or was it Open F? I usually tune down to Open F, but I think I tuned up to G.
