Yes, the same mini jumbo size, the 212 and F47 share the same woods as well (spruce/mahogany), the difference is 12-string versus 6, which greatly affects the sound.
It's a 1969 Guild F312NT made in Hoboken, they haven't actually made a reissue of this model yet unfortunately. They really should, a smallbody with 12 strings is a great combo, mine has Brazilian Rosewood back and sides.
What are the dimensions of the Guild 12 you are playing? It appears the upper and lower bouts are a lot smaller, say 15 inches or so rather than the usual 16 inches or more. I am looking for a Guild 12 string reissue with a smaller lower bout.
That's right, the F312 is a mini-jumbo. It does have a 16 inch lower bout, so I believe the closest current Guild to it would be the mahogany china-made GAD-F212 unfortunately.
Thanks for the video! Did you know that Squeeze, from the same genre of music, is going to be touring North America in the Summer of 2007 and the UK later in the year? Tickets for the North American dates are available on the Ticketmaster website.
How do you think a Guild 212 1973?
Are those body shapes similar in sound to the guild F47?
