Please fix this video. It's pretty clear that sound and video is out of sync, it's no service to the memory of such a great singer that now some people seem to think he had to lower himself to lip syncing.

Roy Orbison didn't need to lip sync..he was not called the greatest singer in the world by Elvis Presley or the Caruso of Pop for nothing.

@RoyOrbisonFan2 Francina,he sometimes did lip-sync too...But he tried to really sing everytimes he could ^^ have you ever seen my video of pretty woman/in dreams in germany,1987? @TheKing59159 I know Roy at times did lip sync but only when at some TV-programs and probably under pressure of tv-bosses afraid for him to mess up or something. But this video is clearly not lip syncing, the video and sound are completely out of sync. Even Roy didn't lip sync this bad. *grin*

It was probably because the sound stage wasn't prepared to do a live sound mix, like American Bandstand, they had to lip-sync all their shows.

@plinqth (Excuse me if my english isn't perfect,but I'm french) This video isn't a lip-sync,but Roy did some...Just go to my channel and watch the video "medley pretty woman,in dreams" in 1987.It was a play back performed in germany for a tv show.But as everybody know,Roy tried to singer everytime he could :)

Roy didn't made a lot of lip-sync,but sometimes anyway...For example if you watch the video of you got it at the diamond career awards,it sound exactly like the studio version,so I think maybe it's a lip-sync too,but I'm not sure anyway...Or when he sung "where have all the flowers gone" + some others,someone told me it's a lip-sync too...I'm not sure but the man knows a lot about Roy,so I think he's right.I could never get tired of his voice too ;)

Sorry to destroy an illusion, if that is the case. I love Roy and I hate lipsyching, but I can't deny he did it, be it rarely.

@myhiddenlinks uhhhhh,im not sure,but i suspect Mr.Orbison is STILLL deceased.i saw one of his last shows,i think about 2 months before he passed away,he was the voice alright.I must complain ,his shows[saw him twice]were a bit too short.

Yes that was sad. Weren't they playing with an aerosol can and a lighter and the gas pressure differential every once in awhile causes and explosion.  I had a freind who would still do that even after we heard about it. Makes you want to be Crying.
