  • "Neighborhood punk and his slammed civic" nice XD

  • i love this car good loking

  • When I test drove both cars (MX5 and Solstice), hands down I thought the Solstice was the best in terms of looks, ride quality, and power. The MX5 had better features such as Paddle Shifters and more cup holders... I got a red solstice for cheap and people still think it cost me more than 27grand. People turn there heads when my car passes by and the gals certainly like it. :)

  • this car looks distrubingly like bugs bunny when you look at a grey solstice front on...

  • "...the battle should be a good one for years to come...", ....yeah.... right!

  • thats why pontiac is going outa buisiness b/c of shitboxes like those, the vibe and the aztek. no more transams, lemans, grand prixs, bonnevilles, catalinas, REAL gtos not that fake austrialian shit, and all the rest of the GOOD pontiacs.

  • Pontiac is being discontinued because they're re-badged GMs, and people started to realize that they were still pieces of shit.

  • I hope they continue the Solstice through another brand like Chevy, since they shut down Pontiac and all.

  • I don't understand why you people from the states hate american cars that much. Here where i live, you can see many late 80s and early 90s american cars, like the cougar, thunderbird, lebaron, cavaliers, buicks models, oldsmobile models.. just to mention some. But you'll never see jap imports from those years runing entirely like the american cars does. Support your national brands, most at these times...

  • our media teaches to "not" appreciate USA... "we are selfish lazy" and on and on...LOL

  • thank you!!! i feel the same way... ive this car and i live in place where everyone has a super expensive car, and guess what, my car make this people turn their head and my car is about 23k half that their mercedes and it looks expensive as a porsche thank you GM

  • you'd be crazy to buy this over an mx5.

better yet, buy a 3 year old boxster.

  • This reviewer could make the Bugatti Veyron seem like a boring car.

  • good around town car? and sometimes good for weekend mountain cruises? I'm thinking about it for a cheap roadster. and my first car if i get it used.

  • thelittlestriceball5, you know nothing about cars. MX5 is better handling? You obviously haven't viewed the japanese reviews of this car vs the MX5. And american cars and they're handling, try out the new corvettes, they out handle any foreign car.

  • come on, is there really a single review that prefers the pontiac? And you really believe the z06 is the best handling car out there? don't get me wrong, it is a great car, but there is a vast array of better handling cars out there. American cars often handle quite poorly; excepting some the new corvettes and the ford gt (not counting the tunned up versions of cars) there is not much else handlingwise

  • Edmunds test proved both are just as fast on a track, and through a slalom. Though the MX5 is slightly lighter giving it a better 1/4th&0-60, but given the price and the looks, . . I'd have the Solstice ands down! =D

And shut up about the exhaust, I liked it, I want facts not your opinion MyRides.

  • fabulous looking roadter. i admit, it looks better than the Mx-5, but i can put my hand down and say that the MX-5 is a better roadster. it's more reliable since it's been known for that. better handling for sure. well, no offense to america but america has not made a magnificant handling car in these past few years. and it's more practical. but if style and looking good driving at 40 mph, then the solstice takes it all.

  • Excellent review
