I can cock it, but i notice that it is no joke. i don't recommend anything because i am not paid by gamo. you should try the gamo rocket. It has a hardened steel tip for great penetration. i used a ruger air hawk elite with these pellets and killed a javelina with a headshot. A javelina is a peccary that weighs between 35 and 60 pounds.

i didnt like them when i tired them. they dont expand on small game or anything really i have shot, there to hard for my likings. also gamo pelelts always seems to have junk all over them that i had to clean off before loading. accuracy wasnt to bad though.

what about the RWS rifle rated at 1250 then add those el gamo pellets that increase the velocity even more. There is a combo pack of this el gamo comb ammo i got for $20. It has penetrator pellet with a red plastic point, gold raptor pellets, pellets that have a bb in the middle of lead .177 pellet. can remember the names of those pellets but it's a combo pack and has pellets for more velocity for any model gun and other pellets for max penetration.

Mate a 500 fps gun should not be used for hunting. A gun of such limited power won't be much use unless you use as light a pellet as you can find. Try magnum points.

@jehu20 depends if your going for head shot or not, the range and the weather. for example for a body shot in high wind i would use a heavier led hollow point (head shot too risky at high wind) but if its good weather alowing longer range i would use a lighter pointed pellet or even the dynamic sn2. best to have a few different kinds of pellets, then when you come to zeroing for the day you can asses the situation and choose w/e one.

i bought it from a sporting goods store brand new and it was the first day it slid off and i treated it perfectly fine i have 2 other break barrels and i havent broken either of those and when it weighs ten pounds it gets heavy after a whole day walking around in the woods and the one i got wasnt even relatively the same as the cheap walmart gun

Too bad you couldn't get a soft pellet stop behind the glass (like a stack of rags) to recover the pellets. Then tape them next to the holes for comparison of how much they deformed. The more they deform - the more damage and energy transfer in your target. Just some ideas for more fun experiments. Keep shootin

i have the same gun the beeman gs 1000. for the most dammage i use flatheads . and for .177 cal i use gamo raptor pellets it makes it go 1300 fps there gold platted pellets for aobut 8 bucks for 100
