I believe that the fact that Arabs have rather sectarian views, and are not good in forming supranational entities that assume regulatory powers is one of the reasons why America became so strong in the Middle-East. It's not a weakness of the Arabic spirit at all. The West has exploited this lack of unification among Arabs.
